It’s easy to see why they’ve won awards.

There’s a 3 course set menu on most evenings apart from Saturdays. £13.95 pp but there’s a £2/£2.50 supplement for lamb or prawn. Good value for money.

- The chutneys with the poppadoms were very tasty.
- The railway lamb curry had tender meat, although the gravy could have been richer.
- The Manchurian chicken curry was a decent level of heat. It’s similar to the chicken 65 (which was also tasty).
- The Delhi Tuk Tuk and mixed grill starters were done well
- Naan was alright

It was really welcoming and the service was generally great, with the curry king doing the rounds and chatting to the tables.

Good consistent food based on the two times I’ve been. Dishes full of flavour. I liked the decor that’s goes with their street food theme. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Delicious food, great service. What more could you ask for? I had lamb that just fell apart and was some flavoursome. If I am ever over this side of the country again I will be sure to come for another visit.

Lovely food and nice people. We tried going back for more the next evening and when we couldn't get a table for six we ordered takeaway and I'm happy to say the food was just as good. Very happy customers.

Such a nice place to go for food, all of the front of house staff were genuine and care about their restaurant and food. Sohel made sure checked on us at the end of our meal and was very passionate about our meal being the best it could be. This will be my go to curry restaurant in South Shields now, can't wait to go again.

Unhurried, we had 3 pints with our curry & the food was absolutely fantastic.

Delicious food. I had the prawn on puri for starter and butter chicken for main with mushroom pilau rice. Absolute gorgeous. Food was so tasty. Staff are friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back.

Visited Delhi 6 for the first time last night with my Fiancè, and i was so excited to go, and experience Delhi 6 for myself, and i was not dissapointed, the service, the food, the atmosphere, all excellent, the food was presented perfectly, for the prices you pay, for the food you would not expect it to be presented in the way it was, the meals look like they should cost a lot more than they do.

I like to try different food when go for a meal so i got food that i had never had before which can be risky but i was over the moon with food I had. For starter I had the Chicken Chaat, and my Fiancé had the onion Bhaji,
For the mains I had the Chandi Chowk (tiger prawns)
And my Fiancé had the Chicken tikka from the grill.

As i have said before the food was out of this world! This restaurant is right up there with best of them 100% will visit again and i will tell everyone that they have to visit Delhi 6.

Excellent food. A group of 5 of us regularly go for meals and this was definitely on par with the best we've had so far, and we have had some great meals. The staff were friendly and attentive, a varied menu, and the restaurant looked good.

Great low key, relaxed atmosphere with good food to back it up. Cheap pints of Cobra and excellent coffee as well. Their set menu is a terrific value.

Note for fellow Americans: their spice heat rating is serious. 1 pepper icon will be toasty, 2 and above should be avoided unless you really like the heat. Best get 2-3 papadums per adult.

First time visiting Delhi 6 - what a gem! Food was beautifully presented, fantastic rich flavours and service first class 5*. Would recommended to anyone. Looking forward to our next visit.

Just returned home from the most amazing visit to our now new, favourite restaurant in Shields!
From start to finish the service and the food were amazing. The starters and main course were very well presented, tasted out of this world, and the portion sizes were plentiful.
The staff, each and every one, were warm, welcoming, and super attentive.
A must try and for us a definite return.

Our fist time at Dehli 6 and I must say we were very impressed. The food was out of this world, the service was second to none. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again. Great experience.

Really nice food and very lovely staff with nice smiles

Amazing restaurant with amazing staff. We went as a large group with adults and kids and staff were great with us all. The food was incredible and had options to suit everyone. Staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable, they brought out ice cream for my mums birthday and always checked if we were happy with the food. Would 100% go back and can’t recommend them enough. Thank you :)

We've used Delhi 6 for a long time now but this evening they raised the bar. My Wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with our Son and Daughter.
The hospitality was bettered only by the food.
The Delhi tuk tuk and the Tandoori lamb chops in particular where exquisite.
Until the next one, which will be soon, well done Delhi 6, another tremendous meal.

Well I can do another lockdown if necessary now I have had some absolutely fabulous food well done Delhi 6 once again enjoyed everything

Simply terrific Indian food. The house lentils are amongst - if not the - best daal I've ever had. The coriander sauce was brilliant, too.
