A very easy place for various shopping.

Today we did a big shop. From start to finish, we had a wonderful experience. The reason I say this is because of the store's interactive staff. We had staff who were charming and interested in helping us. Keep up the good work. It's a huge difference to those store's that have 1 or 2 members of staff on the shop floor. We will be back to this Tesco. Thank you.

Lost my car key. I walk with a stick and a very kind nice young man who was busy collecting trolleys, searched the store for me and found it. Nice store made nice by its employees.

Excellent place to shop,good variety of food ,fresh and frozen. Staff always friendly and helpful to show you to anything you require. Great selection of clothes.
We love going in the cafe after shopping the staff are lovely and good food.

Always plenty of staff and shelfs bursting..lots on offer and the clothes section is really very good. Got a cracking pair of jeans for a fraction of the normal price i pay....
The food and drink sections are vast and always free to browse without ppl in your way..my only gripe is Maris piper spuds are a very small bag compared to morrisons which is over the rd..besides that its great and an asset to consett..

We came to do our weekly shop today and I stupidly put my new phone down… so after looking like a contestant off supermarkets sweep for 5 mins I went and asked staff if it had been handed it… thankfully one the male staff ( stupidly in my panic I forgot to take your name.. sorry) had found it by the dog food and handed it in. I really can’t thank you enough like many of us my life is on that phone.. and in the 15 mins it was missing .. my imagination took me too..I couldn’t pay for the shopping and then wouldn’t be able to get petrol therefor wouldn’t be able to feed the dogs who would obviously starve and be removed from my home .. I wouldn’t be able to get the plants to plant and that would really effect my garden, the bottle of bubble bath to add to the 10 bottles at home would make a big difference to my bath owwww the list goes on. But thanks to the kind staff the dog food was bought and the petrol to get me home.: and my flowers have made a massive difference as did the bottle of bubble bath in which I am sitting writing this big thank you Tesco 😄

I love this Tesco's! It's huge and has everything from groceries to clothes to kitchenware! There are some great deals on stationary at the moment too! The cafe upstairs has a variety of different meals including vegetarian and vegan options and I found the Mexican bean wrap delicious!

Great shop. Nice and clean and bright. Staff are always happy and freindly. Usually well stocked and easy to navigate. Aisles are clear and a nice width. Good selection of fresh and chilled food. World foods aisle is worth a visit.. checkouts are quick to negotiate with little queing. Optician on site too, but it's now Vision Express...

Cannot thank Sheila on checkouts for making time to talk to my special needs daughter. She always made her feel so special. So sad she is retiring on Friday will be sorely missed. We need more staff to acknowledge special needs people.

They have a good stock of products and you can get everything you need under one roof and have a good choice for people who don't have much to do to universal credit and that you can get basically the main things you need and want and I normally go here for my electronic things as they have a better choice and you don't need to wait in the rain outside the store as it's covered and that is when they are doing the covid and people check going into the store with the traffic lights on the doors as it's only to keep you safe

Called into Tesco Consett recently and was looking for Canadian Club whiskey which was not on the shelf,( Tesco are the only local supermarket to stock it )
Eventually helped by lovely lad named Bret who went out of his way to check in the back of the store for me , Bret was helpful, pleasant and polite Great customer service !!.

Due to social distance the que was around car park but kept moving and didn't take long at all. Security guard on door ver pleasant and helpful, once inside because it wasn't packed went around in minutes. In the end foot less time in total than usual and no pressure lots easier surpriseingly. Well done Tesco Staff.

What a bad day tesco colleagues were having today short on staff but they just got on with it I have to say well done everyone I know myself What it's like to have no colleagues and have ran a deli department on my own you coped tremendously keep up the good work 👍 xxxx

Didn’t order food, but Alex one of your drivers was extremely helpful in helping me dig my car out of snow late on tonight, above and beyond the call of duty give that man a bonus!! Cheers again Alex hope you got home alright!

Staff are very helpful, good selection of groceries

At the time there was no queue so got straight into store everything was clean and tidy felt safe did normal shop very pleasant and helpful staff.
