SPAR Chester Road Sunderland

The staff make the place - absolute credit to the company, I pass 2 other shops and go there. Always happy and polite, if you need a hand finding something they'll take you over and show you where things are and they let you know if something's on offer too so you don't miss saving a few quid.

This is a clean well managed shop with friendly helpful staff.

Love my local Spar! I have been going to this shop since young and know the layout of this place like the back of hand. Friendly staff and they offer the essentials you would expect like bread, milk, butter and biscuits.

Fab conventions store lots of different items to choose from only problem is wheelchair uses can't get into the store as easily because of the step entrance so it had to mark it only 3 stars

It's OK for certain items, but it's more expensive than your supermarket.

I went here to buy some alcohol on 29-04-23
Walked around to the fridges cool room everything was at room temperature nothing chilled😡😡 at all walked straight across road to local shop👍

This is the 2nd Spar shop I've been in where they don't chill alcohol

Definitely I will give zero review if there is option there, just went to the shop after long shift driving taxi Saturday try to get coffe, two girl behind the window 10:05pm, I've ask if can have coffe, the first girl with dark hair answer me back saying sorry do you want me to make you the coffe?? And I said yes please if you can as the door is closed but am not sure if you make coffe or not! Her answer was sorry I don't know how to make it!! With very bad angry attitude!! then second girl jumped from behind asking me with her finger pointed to my face what you want!!!! Do you want coffe?? So I have to raise my voice bit high and said yes please so she can hear me through the window then with her very bad attitude saying am not make you coffe if you wants us to make you one!!as am not get payed enough to pull up with you attitude!! (can anyone tell me what taxi driver attitude will have after long shift, only feel flat tired and fancy whom coffe to keep him going on the road?) Which is again am only shouted through the window once so she can hear me what I want. I've just shocked and left the garage drive 200yard there is BP garage busy with queue and lovely lad behind the counter. as am night shift local taxi driver for over 10 years and I've been all over shops and petrol station all over the country but never ever seen this customer service l, I think for big company name like spar they need to training the staff more and teach them how to deal with customers. Thanks
