This is the best home bargains store I have visited more choice and variety than the smaller stores they sell chilled and frozen food and they have a small bakery and garden section aswel you are served quickly at the tills, im looking forward to the new one opening in Houghton le spring soon I hope it's as good as this store as it's on my doorstep.

Oh now this Home Bargains is delightful. It is huge and is stocked with all sorts of items. One which I got a liking for was their iced coffee drinks. So much so I had to visit Home Bargains where I live and, happy customer, they had the drinks. They are delicious. I needed a little notebook to write things down while with my daughter, Home Bargains had the answer and not very expensive. Fits nicely into my handbag too.

I have had one of the best customer services today from g lady named Chloe Hunt at South Shields branch. This young lady found the Outdoor Rug I required after I had been told there were none left. She then checked everywhere in the store until she found me and brought the item to me. This young lady deserves to be recognised for her excellent customer services. Well done Chloe and thank you.

Not been to this branch before. Very nice layout. Tidy. Well stocked. I asked a member of staff if they stocked something. I was told yes and where it was. The next thing I knew they had gone and got it for me! Parking is good. Quite a few disabled bays.

Always a good shop

Exellent big shop lots of bargains to be had on every day items, large selection of toys and recently clothes lines added. Best feature is the outdoor garden centre that has everything for your garden from plants to soil to stepping stone and cheap wooden furniture.

Had really good service and excellent advice from the guy with the beard who works in the Garden Centre...sorry dont know his name. He was really helpful and informative and provided excellent customer care.

Great store for most items. Wide stock selection and very good prices. Staff always helpful. Well laid out floor plan, easy access.
