Cryptic Cabin

Amazing local game shop and now my number 1 go to for all hobby needs. Staff are friendly knowledgeable and welcoming. The store is always clean, warm and well lit and they have a great selection of gaming tables and terrain.

More than that they have cultivated a great community which makes it easy to find players to game with. Their tournaments and events are well worth taking part in!

Cryptic is one of the best LGS's around!
They welcome you as family and make you feel included in everything here whether is MTG, warhammer or any tabletop games. You can rent board games here and they make great coffees too! Well stocked and a great atmosphere! Can't recommend it enough!

Always feel welcome, great place to play board games with a coffee. They do lots of community bits for warhammer and magic the gathering too which are great for beginners and experienced players alike 🧚‍♀

Fantastic place for all your tabletop gaming and miniature needs. Had a great evening with friends playing board games and party games and even some Pokémon cards. It was great to see others playing 40k, D&D and plenty of other games as well. Coffee is also on point, as is the Siren beer on tap. Couldn’t recommend more highly, go check it out!

Absolutey lovely shop tucked away in Moss End. My favourite local games shop since I first went in a while back, haven't been anywhere else since. All staff are friendly, welcoming, and keen to help anyone out with learning new games, and they foster a brilliant community of players all of whom are lovely. With a great range of magic, miniatures and board games at good prices, there's no place I'd rather be of an evening than enjoying some in-house coffee with my friends at the Cryptic Cabin.

An awesome little shop at moss end garden centre that's centred mainly around war games like Warhammer but also sells and hosts card game nights and D&D games.
I started going around this time last year and have been going consistently every week since and not once have I felt unwelcome.
You'll find a great community here that can help or teach you any game you could possibly want to learn.
They can provide drinks and snacks during your long game sessions there or during a quick pop in for a chat and a coffee.
They also have a very nice unique blend of coffee which they make perfect each time. Especially when made by Alex, his are just better.

Lovely shop with incredibly helpful staff. I have no idea about the hobby but have a very interested child. They gave advice and time to make sure we got the things he needed to extend his collection

Great gaming and miniature painting hobby shop. Game space is a bit cosy upstairs if fully booked but the tables are great with a good range of scenery.

Very friendly staff and great atmosphere with good stock of all sorts of gaming things. Kid friendly games available to play and snacks to buy!

Went today to get some Pokémon cards for my son for Xmas. Very helpful and friendly staff. Loads to choose from thank you Alex for all your help highly recommend this company

Been going to Cryptic for a while now, nice range of models and paints, staff are very knowladgeable and always help my lads out when spoilt for choice. Even ran a few games for my boys when they were looking to get into warhammer tabletop gaming. Great place to grab a table and a cuppa and sit down and play a game from the stores libary of board games

Wow this place rocks. Alex is great he makes good coffee but can’t do latte art to save his life. Try harder. 5 stars

Great place for gaming of all types. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, with a fantastic knowledge of all their game systems.

I have visited the Cabin a few times now and I can't speak more highly of it. I am more into board games than Warhammer but it is a great mix of people who go and the space is comfortable and everyone is so welcoming, whatever you are coming to do.

Fantastic range of games to play and the staff know how to explain the games so well whenever I need it! Staff attentive, friendly and fun!

Another bonus is they have options for coffee and alcohol, so a great place to hang out day or night.

Nothing else like this place in the area and I think I will be visiting for some time. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love these guys, always welcoming and happy to see you even if it's just for a chin wag on current projects. Really good service and happy to help attitude with so many good minis to choose from. Cannot recommend them enough especially if you are new to the hobby like me! Games and tables available to hire as well
