Fantastic Place!
This was the second spice garden we visited in Thekaddy, only this one is actually a garden. The owner and guide was VERY informative and interesting. So many varieties of plants and we were able to try many of them.
Unlike the other spice place, this location does not have a hard sell at the end to buy their produces, although we still did because the quality is obviously much better than in the town vendors.

One hour spent well.
They have cultivated so many plants at one place, sustainable as Mr Benny said. He shared so much information about each and every plant and spices like their origin, medical use, scientific names, etc.
They also have plants like cocoa, avacado, passion fruit, vanilla and many others.

Must visit if you want to get information and buy original spices.

I had visited this place 10 years back. I was thoroughly inspired by the work by Mr. Benny here. So this time also I decided to visit the place when I came to Thekkady. The garden is still maintained well with some changes. Mr. Benny has the same enthusiasm with which I saw him 10 years back. Unique plant varieties are there and are explained well by the staffs there. Highly recommended for a visit and buy some quality spices from the shop there. The shop is also very well maintained with decent priced quality products.

Visited this place based on reviews on Google. It's a 13 acre property. They charge Rs. 100 per adult. Kids are free. Approx 30mins of guided plantation tour. We had 1 guide for 4 adults. Among others, saw figs, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, bay leaves, all spice tree, cloves, turmeric, vanilla, cocoa and coffee beans, tamarind trees. The information shared was precious.
They also share taste samples of spices, cashew nuts and chocolates that they sell. We picked up some spices, rates were not too high. They also sell oils and ayurvedic products. You are under no obligation to purchase. Time and money well spent.

This place was amazing, our guide Noushad was very knowledgeable. He knew everything and could answer all our questions. The plantation is well maintained and is very calming. We learnt lots about various Indian spices.
The tour lasted an hour and cost only 100 rupee's each which I felt was excellent value. Our tour was also private just me and my husband which made the experience even more pleasurable. Definitely recommend this plantation 100%

An unforgettable experience. We thought it was closed because of COVID as no one was in the counter, but knocked the door and they responded. Highly recommended. The tour is really insightful and enjoyable. Definitely a must do during a stay in Thekkady!

Hats off to owner Mr. Benny sir. who is doing this program not for his personal benefit but to promote organic agriculture, for benefit of future generation. The place is bigger and does not only have spice plantation but all kind of agriculture production including fruits, vegetables and glimpse of fish farming etc. Sir not only explains the importance of each plant but also gives information about its history (from where it came) and why we need to preserve it. He also refers to ancient Indian culture to worship plants through some rituals and the real reason behind it. In 1 hour program he gave so much information about plants and collaborative agriculture that while leaving we might not remembered that all.. but left with our heart filled with grace. I personally feel if person like Mr. Benny becomes agriculture minister, the economy of India will boost.
