Casa Mandina

I booked the Chef’s Table for my sister & I. We wanted to celebrate her birthday with some incredible food- all I can say is we chose the PERFECT PLACE. The food was amazing 🤌🏽, the atmosphere was amazing 🤌🏽, the food pairings were amazing 🤌🏽, and the service was amazing 🤌🏽.
We cannot wait to come back to the restaurant when we are back in this area! It was the highlight of Maiori!!

We got to watch the chef from our seating area & learned so much about each food. They handled everything with so much care & you could tell they are passionate about what they do.

Everything from food, to the service and the atmosphere was fantastic! It was our first trip with our 9 month old, and even though it was a higher end restaurant, the service was very friendly and accommodating. We’ve come to really appreciate that.

I had the chef’s tasting and almost all of the dishes were top notch. It was all very tasty, well balanced, and left me full but not too stuffed. the anchovies w tomato paste + lemon peel and ricotta, plus fried cod and the octopods really stood out. Little bit higher end but well worth it! Hope to return on our next trip back to Maori!

Warm and friendly service. Food was delicious and fresh. Even the bread and breadsticks with butter they served was one of the best I had in Italy. They are very generous with their truffle servings. They were able to accommodate my wives gluten and lactose restrictions.

Great gastro experience in Maiori, highly recommended. Amazing combination of Chef’s talent and passion with best local ingredients. We had 2 dinners at Chef’s table so you can interact with the Chef during your dinner, to get all answers about dishes that you eat and see how they cooked.

Our Favorite restaurant in Maiori! Amazing service and delicious food. Every little detail is thought for the guests. The atmosphere and the decor are very nice as well.

My fiancé and I did the tasting menu! Everything was so good and tasty! Highly recommend!
And also he was only my boyfriend when we had dinner there. He proposed me right after! The experience we had in the restaurant made our night very romantic and helped him create the right atmosphere! Thanks a lot ♥

Followed the recommendations from our hotel’s front desk to go for lunch at Casa Mandina. Came casually, without a reservation. Alfonso greated us with a great smile and seated our group of 5 people with no issues.
Alfonso recommended us all the dishes - pasta and local fish - and they were ALL delicious. Particularly recommend crudo from fish, shrimps, and langoustines. Also, tomato soup and home made pasta with fish. Nice casual, family atmosphere and an impeccable service, made our lunch an extremely pleasant experience for us.
Casa Mandina is definitely a must if you visit Maiori.

Great experience! Definitely on the higher end but worth it!

We had the tasting menu and they were happy to make adjustments, since we could not have shellfish or seafood.

The food ranged from great to excellent (I still think about the tortellini) and the service was very good in spite of the restaurant being full.

I messed up when I tried to make the booking, so it did not show up in their system. Yet they were the ones apologizing to me, while still being able to find a table for us.

Amazing experience and the best food I have ever had in Italy.

We came here spontaneously and were sat at the chef‘s table, which was the best seat we could have asked for. Dining here was an experience. We loved the atmosphere. High quality ingredients, paired with chefs that made cooking look like art and incredible service made this a wonderful evening.

Exceptional food!
My husband and I went to Casa Mandina for dinner and we ate the 6 course meal paired with an amazing local white wine right from Amalfi.
The attention to detail on each dish was impressive.
My husband and I were in awe by how well every ingredient of each dish paired with the other ingredients. It was a explosion of flavors but subtle enough that one ingredient didn’t overpower the other.
And last but not least, the service was impeccable. All the staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
I absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Once again I was incredibly surprised by the quality and creativity of the chefs here at Casa Mandina. We were in 3, ordering different dishes to share together. It is always amazing how they can create such balanced and exquisite dishes. Sgombro was my favourite. Services also is good and it's nice to be able to see the chefs at work from the dining room and chat with them about their food at the end of the evening. Two incredibly passionate men. By far the best in Maiori and among the top in the amalfi coast. Recommended!!!

We visited them on the 5th of May for dinner, and they exceeded our expectations in every measures! Highly recommended to try their menu, all from quality & fresh ingredients. Our menu was:

- Spuma di ricotta with Cetara anchovies and lemon on squid ink rice chip

- Tuna tartare with ricotta

- Mackerel with brioche bread with sultanas, chicken liver pate, onion in sauce and mangalica lard.

- Tempura cod with chicory and annurca apple salad, octopus mayonnaise and apple cider vinegar.

- Ravioli stuffed with ricotta, mantis shrimp bisque, baby squid and mullet roe

- Babà

Just wow! The most incredible food thoughtfully prepared by the two chef brothers. We liked it so much we came back again for lunch! They went out of their way to prepare vegan dishes for my husband. Inventive flavour pairings elevate excellent local ingredients (from grandpa’s farm no less). Do not leave Maiori without eating here, you won’t regret it.

It was amazing. It’s a family owned restaurant and you feel the love and care in the atmosphere, the people and the food. The food is exquisite. The pumpkin soup was the perfect combination of flavors, the pasta was cooked to perfection and the portion was enough + delicious!
It is definitely worth the stop!

What a gem!
Alfonso and Cristian, the Chef brothers, have created a restaurant that is a gift to all those looking for exquisite food. The 5 course tasting menu was outstanding, from start to dessert. They use local, fresh ingredients from both the coast and the mountains surrounding Maiori, creating plates that are simple, yet so flavourful. And their wine portfolio is also very good, with wines from some of the best local producers (the white blend from Tenuta San Francesco in Tramonti was outstanding).
I'm a fan of this restaurant and can't wait to get back.

Amazing restaurant. The chefs have exceptional skills, with each dish brining unique flavors. My wife and I were had the pre-fix 6 course tasting menu and were shocked that the restaurant has not received any James Beard or Michelin recognition. I would not be surprised if in a couple years, with a few modifications to the service, this became a Michelin star restaurant. Definitely worth visiting while in Maiori.

I did a 45 min tour around maiori looking for somewhere to eat on my first night. I could not have stumbled into a better experience than what I had at this little off to the side restaurant. I went with the chef specials which were tuna tartare on ricotta and puttanesca with squid and a house made desert.. I was fortunate enough to have a seat at the kitchen bar and was able to enjoy watching the chefs entire process.. if u travel to Maiori and don’t want home style try this eclectic place.. I returned for a second meal and have added more pics to the review.. everything was exceptional on the second visit as well

Amazing - cannot fault it in any way! We have been here 2 nights now and it’s amazing. By far the best dinner we have had in Maiori… this is a must visit. If you don’t visit in your time here… you’ve missed a trick.

Lovely dinner experience here. The special was really good - spaghetti and squid with a puttanesca sauce, and the veal was pretty good. The homemade bread was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good spot for a date night in Maiori.
