Mammato

Mammato in Maiori, Italy is a gem of a restaurant, offering authentic Italian cuisine at non-touristic prices. We had our first meal of our vacation in this restaurant and we still think about it. Friendly and genuine staff, delicious food (literally everything we tried), fast service, and we also got some free limoncello at the end. Very fairly priced for the quality, including the house wine. It is apparently one of the historical restaurants in town, the interior is big and nicely decorated, many locals enjoying their cuisine.

We are here on June 21st, 2024. We had been out all day so we were very hungry. We ordered pizza and fried calamari for the table and each had other plates. I ordered the focaccia de casa with prosciutto and egg. The freshness of the prosciutto compared to the U.S. is something I had only previous dreamed. I also ordered the chicken or cotoletta alla mammato. The tomato sauce on it was to die for. It was a rich, creamy sauce and I used the bread to clean the plate after the chicken was finished. Definitely a must to eat at in Maiori. After we finished our meals, we all had a shot of limoncello and it was so smooth and settling after such a meal.

We had dinner and lunch several times there during our holidays. The service was very kind and the food was really good. I strongly recommend the place to anybody coming to maiori.

We had a larger group (11 people) dining here after a day at the beach and were blown away by the service. They were extremely kind and generous in accommodating our party, allowing us to order larger pizzas and salads than what we saw on the menu so we could share as a group, and washing some fruit for us (purchased from a nearby market) to eat after our meal. The people in our party are visiting from several different countries and all agreed that the service far exceeded anything we could expect. The food was also excellent - the lasagna, pizza with artichoke/olives, and pizza with anchovy were standouts for me. Our meal here was a highlight of our time in the Amalfi coast and we will have fond memories of it forever. Thank you

They are very friendly towards tourist and most of the staff spoke English. The food was AMAZING my wife and I went to dinner here two nights in a row. 4 courses each with drinks and we barely broke the $150 euro line it is definitely a great deal.

After 22:30 they don’t take pizza orders.

One of the few Italian restaurants at Maiori Napoli that serves really nice pizzas and pastas at very reasonable prices. Was great learning they been in business since 1890!!

Great value for money!

The homemade shrimp pasta was amazing! The sauce is the soul and the shrimp is extremely tender. Mixed fried seafood was fresh and tasty.

I hardly give 5 stars review but Mammato is truly exceptional restaurant. The quality and quantity of seafood were remarkable and there is no fault I can find. It is highly recommended place to eat if you are about in Maiori. The best restaurant in Amalfi Coast during my 1 week stay and travelling along the coastline.

Had an amazing lunch here! The views are pretty nice (if you manage to grab a table by the window) and portions are huge. Really great quality/quantity for the price. We shared gnocchi and a pescatore pizza. Both were delicious and the gnocchi were out of this world! They also offered a free appetizer (baked bread sticks with herbs). Overall, really great meal and we were so full, we could not eat dinner.

Fantastic food and laid back atmosphere. Friendly staff, too. We opted for an assortment of fried foods — honestly best fried potatoes I’ve ever had, with some fried cheeses, then ravioli, then sea brim. Could not have asked for a more enjoyable first dinner in Maiori!

I loved this place! Great ambience, staff and good. It's the best Italian food I've had so far. They have plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Do try their salads. Also, one pizza is big enough for two people. Would recommend this place highly.

Food is very very good. The Seafood pizza was very good, they used olive oil on the Seafood which brought out the flavor. The staff was very friendly and interacted with the children!!
