Food is really good. Service is fast. It's a bit pricey compared to Italian standards but as it's a very touristic place it's understandable.

Very fine dining, well balanced flavours. Their dishes are pure and rely on fresh and high quality ingredients. It's located just outside the busy part of Volterra and has a spectacular view.

The food was outstanding very friendly staff. Great place to be to watch the sunset.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Ostaria Fornelli in the charming town of Volterra, Italy. Our meal was a true Italian delight. We started with the most flavorful bruschettas and a delectable cold salama plate that set the stage for what was to come. The filet with funghi and tartufi was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with exquisite flavors. What truly stood out was the impeccable service - the manager was incredibly attentive and ensured that every detail of our dining experience was perfect.

Delicious food & friendly service! And I was able to have a vegan meal (Spaghetti Pomodoro) with my boyfriend. The wine is also excellent! This was the perfect choice for our first night in town, as we were able to see the sunset while enjoying a perfect Italian dinner

Such an AMAZING restaurant. We had a group of 45 people here for lunch and they did a perfect job. The food was so good (the peposo) and the entire staff was extremely kind. I cannot recommend it enough.

A true gem in the heart of Volterra. Right in front of a breathtaking panoramic view of the Val di Cecina, Osteria Fornelli is the perfect place to try traditional dishes of the Tuscan tradition. Excellent game dishes–I enjoyed their boar and rabbit very much–, homemade bread and reasonably priced wine make this modern osteria a must visit during your Volterra visit.

My wife and I ordered the Arista con Contorno (pork chop with vegetables) and a side of potatoes. Finished with a cheese cake with mixed fruit on top and an Aperol aperitif. Come for the food and check out the view. Make sure to make reservations.

Incredible. Wonderful service, amazing food, relaxing environment for a meal, great place to go for a cocktail and sit outside and admire the views.

Wow, just loved the food. The cheeseplate is a must. All sheep cheese with amazing flavour. The best we tried in Italy. The pasta is fresh and a big portion. I was full and very happy. Unfortunately did not have time for a dessert, so i have to come back. I really recommend to visit this place for sunset. Fantastic view.

Best meal we’ve had since arriving in Italy 5 days ago. Super hosts and a view with the setting sun to remember. Take your whisky out on the terrace and enjoy. The Gnocci with wild boar sauce and the tiramisu were excellent. The home made breads went super well with both the wild boar and sausage sauces. Highly recommend this restaurant.
