Giovanni is amazing. I’m a wine collector trying to expand my knowledge in Italy because I love the country and the people so much. JUST LET HIM CHOOSE THE TASTINGS! He is so kind, knowledgeable and has such passion for the area. It was a perfect day!

Giovanni, Chiara, and the rest of the team at Montalcino Wine Tours made our stay in Tuscany the highlight of our trip to Italy! I started communicating with Giovanni a couple of months before our trip, and he recommended where to stay, what to do, and even when to come. Every suggestion was right on target.

Giovanni and his team are capable of putting together a variety of customized trips. We decided on a more active trip, so we did a couple of days of bicycling, a day of hiking, a cooking class at Montalcino Cooking School (also a big winner), and then met Chiara in Siena for a guided tour. We had a great time!

I can't recommend Montalcino Wine Tours any more highly.

I found Montalcino Wine Tours while searching for a transfer service as we would be staying in Montalcino and travelling from Rome, but did not want to rent a car. Giovanni was so responsive and so helpful right from the start, and I really felt well guided and taken care of from the beginning.
I balked at first at the cost of the transfer, but wow - it was well worth every penny. Claudio was our driver, and he picked us up at the train station in Chiusi, and drove us to our hotel in Montalcino, but first dropped us in the town of Montalcino and gave us a couple of hours to explore and have lunch. Claudio also ended up being our driver from Montalcino to Florence a few days later, and we added a stop in San Gimignano for a couple of hours to explore. Claudio was great!!! He was friendly, accommodating, and just an all around pleasant person to be around. While driving he pointed out some of the beautiful sights along the way. I cannot recommend the company enough for private transfer.
But - we also did a wine tour through the company, and it was one of the best activities we did on our entire trip! Sofia picked us up from our hotel in the morning and took us to three different wineries and the abbey in San Antimo (I am sure I am spelling this incorrectly). It was a full day trip, and Sofia was amazing!!! My husband and I absolutely loved our day with her, she served as tour guide, educator, translator and I felt like a friend! It was wonderful. The wineries we went to were all different, and at each of them we felt like we were welcomed into a family home. The lunch we were served was enormous! And delicious! I can't say enough positive things about our experiences, it was just great, and I can't wait to come back and try some of their different offerings. Oh - and Montalcino Wine Tours also held the wine that we purchased and shipped it back to the States for us. We have just returned from our trip and can't wait to receive our case of wine and re-live some memories. THANK YOU to Giovanni, Claudio and Sofia for making us feel like we were family!

We had an absolutely magical time in Tuscany all thanks to Chiara. She went above and beyond on every aspect of the trip. She coordinated wine tours, restaurant reservations, city transfers (coming 5 hours to Nice to pick us up). She even ordered and hand delivered a birthday cake for one of our group members. Her knowledge of the area is unparalleled and we felt so pampered the entire trip. I recommend her to everyone we know that's travelling to Italy and 100% will be using her again on our next adventure.

Giovanni and Chiara were absolutely fantastic. They were so helpful in organizing a fun and exciting day of wine tasting around Montalcino. Giovanni was so knowledgeable and helpful. I would 100% recommend using their services and will plan to book with them again when we head back to Montalcino.

1400 euros for basically a van service for 8 hours. Giovanni was very friendly at booking time and booked two winery visits for us (one with lunch) and stops in some towns along the way. We were not told what to look out for or any information about the areas we visited. We did not have the area food and wine expert that was advertised, so we basically had a nice driver for the day. We could have made 2 winery reservations on our own and hired a much cheaper “driver” for the day or use the van that we rented for the week that was parked in front of our inn all day. Oh well. Overall, I would not recommend the high price they charge for this van rental.
