Lovely place, went on a guided tour for just a few hours but really you could spend much more time on the grounds and the coffee shop. Impressive collection of antiques and art as well. I see now where places like "the breakers" for their inspiration, but this is the real deal.

Incredible, awe inspiring palace on a beautiful island. We were absolutely breathtaken throughout due to the decadence and ornateness of the place. Without a doubt the best palace I've ever visited. Spectacular gardens attached and astonishing lake views

This is definitely worth a visit. I had a wonderful tour round the magnificent palatial piece of isolabella history. The gardens are magical and unbelievable with a white peacock in the grounds. In fact I rate it near the top of my list of sightseeing.

Worth every penny.

We had an amazing time at the palace and the gardens! Definitely one of the highlights and must-dos of Lake Maggiore.

Buying tickets online was very easy.

This was one of the several palaces of the Borromeo family. This was the summer Palace. It's on an island. It's worthwhile seeing. Probably can spend a couple of hours maybe up to half a day on the island to walk around both inside and outside. Lots of pictures to take. Very pleasant and interesting and some beautiful artifacts. It's more like a museum.

A bit sorry for the inconvinience caused by the rule that forsed us to buy and wear ear-plugs, because we had a guide and was more than 6 persons.
Except from that, it was a great place! Both inside and outside!

Both the villa and the gardens are gorgeous. Can be quite busy, but still worth a visit.

The Palace was a little disappointing with our guide being indisposed. The outdoor gardens were lovely and well worth it, with a well priced restaurant. Views of the lake are magnificent.

Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.

This place was a pleasant surprise. It was so immaculately detailed, not too crowded when I went and had a good amount of reading to give context to what I was looking at. Lots of paintings, tapestry, sculptures and well manicured gardens. There was a three story sculpture garden that was the most bizarrely interesting thing I have ever seen. I also didn’t expect it to be so intertwined to the history of Europe (a few influential figures of history have been here). Overall good to spend a couple of hours here when visiting isola Bella.

Incredible visual assault. Totally fitting but completely overwhelming array of stucco, wood carvings, gilt, frescos, paintings and crystal chandeliers.
The garden reflects the style of the palace but in a calming way.

Highly recommend.

Allow at least 2 hours for the palace and 1 hour for the gardens.

One of my Italian friends recommended this place to me. It was such an amazing experience, you shouldn't miss it. Visiting Isola Bella was my first impression of Italy as well. I was amazed by the Italian garden and also the exterior. The white peacock dancing over the monument in a heavenly beautiful garden. The ticket is quite expensive, but it's worth visiting.
Highly recommended!
