El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel

Great staff, nice rooms, and good entertainment. If you get a room above the 3rd floor you get a nice balcony view of the cruise ships. Hotel also has a awesome dive shop, Babieca Dive Center, on the same property. We went on 4 trips with them and they did a amazing job.

Also worth noting we weren't charged for wireless unlike the older reviews which was nice; the trip would have been pretty frustrating if we were. The hotel did charge extra resort fees ($16 a night) when we arrived though that was mostly expected beforehand.

The staff are very friendly, professional and accommodating. The meals are good. Some nights, it is a buffet and other nights you order off the menu. There is a good variety of food on offer. A special mention goes to Naomi and Nathaly in the dining room. They are very efficient and professional in their job and , nothing is too much trouble for them. You are well taken care of in their sections. You are always greater with a huge smile.Thank you ladies for the excellent service. One other employee who was worthy of special mention is Roger, I believe, special events coordinator. He also greats you with a big smile and is very knowledgeable and professional when dealing with clients. It was a great 7 days we spent at La Ceiba. Sad to leave, but there are other vacations on the horizon.

The only downside was that you had to pay for wifi. Why??

Everything was great! The hotel and rooms were clean, the food and drinks were amazing!! The view was great! The staff was all friendly and helpful! Our server German Meseros was the best!!! He served us for all 5 days and was great! Super friendly and fast! Would come back just for German! :)

For a El Cid 3 star this is a 5 Star! The service and staff are beyond 5 star. Everyone was so charming and accommodating and the all inclusive food was way better than most menu items at other resorts. Direct water and beach access. Perfect if you do not speak Spanish.

I have been staying at La Ceiba for 16 years and love it! This is a smaller resort comparied to the other El Cid properties but that is what appeals to me. The location is a short drive to downtown so you are close to all of the happenings. Francisco and Esther always go above and beyond to make my stays outstanding! The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, but really, how much time do you spend in your room! The ocean view is great! There is only one restaurant and they offer a buffet or you can order from the menu. Food is always delicious! A special shout out to Juan, thank you for always having a smile and delivering great service in the restaurant or by the pool! See you all in a few months!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at El Cid La Cieba! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was enjoyable. Booked this place as a day pass through Resort for a day. The service was top notch!

Jeremy was killing it by keeping the drinks flowing, bringing the food out regularly, and just providing top notch service!

Another great stay... we've stayed 3 times now. Staff is super friendly and helpful! We did All inclusive and all the drinks were great and the food was good too! Especially the homemade (in front of us) tortillas...the quesadilla station, fajita station and omlette stations were my favorites. The penne con 4 quesos was really great too! Our room was super nice and clean! We had a garden view room but you can't help but also see the ocean also. 🌊 My massage beachside was also amazing!

Beach, pool, jacuzzi, hammocks in the water, snorkeling, spa - anything and everything you can wish for for your prefect vacation.

Food is great too. Jorge at the restaurant was exceptional.

The staff here were all extremely kind and helpful. The resort itself was nice, but the bartender, Ulises was absolutely amazing! Super kind, helpful, and good at his job. Ceci was also the most wonderful person as well. She was so on point and all around great. The two of them really made the experience that much better. We have stayed at El Cid for 20 years. I have always loved this hotel. The restaurant is always awesome. The wait staff is friendly. The food is amazing, and you can not beat the sunsets!

Came here on a whim when our cruise ship ported. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Special shout-out to Eric the lifeguard - he helped us troubleshoot our snorkeling gear. And another shoutout to Miguel the bartender for unbelievably delicious drinks.

Beautiful views of the ships and only a 5-minute walk from the boat if you are cruising in. Included shade, snorkeling gear, great food and drinks. Jose took great care of us. This was our second time and El Cid and we would definitely come back.

We had a great time visiting the place! We were on a cruise so I can't talk about the rooms. We paid $55/ adult and $28/ kid to use there beach area, pool, bars (unlimited drinks), bbq (chicken, pork chops, sausages, ribs, ceviche, chips salsa, and more. It was worth it! They have a shaded area at their beach and plenty of chairs. Also included in that price is 1hr of snorkel gear rental.

Our family did a cruise and Cozumel was a port day. We booked via resort for a day for this hotel. Very close to Port, everything you should need for a short day in Port. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, laying on the small beach area with our drinks and food in hand. The kids really enjoyed the corded off area for snorkeling and seeing all the amazing different fish, along with the sunken airplane and anchor. Thanks for a great time!

I loved this place. Location is right across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe and shopping. The alll inclusive package was awesome. The food was good. My room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive to Centro, next to the cruise terminal. Very safe area. But then again, most of Cozumel is very safe. Pics are recent. I stayed here 5/24-5/28/2023. Housekeeping made up my room daily. The hotel is well staffed, and everyone was attentive and friendly. Before booking this hotel, please keep in mind that Cozumel is a largely underdeveloped island in MEXICO. 3, 4 or 5 Stars here is not the same equivalent as what you might expect in New York, London, Paris, or LA.

We Love El Cids. We have been there 4 years in a row. The facility is great to notch. The staff are fantastic. Thanks for always making our vacation memorable.

Great smaller resort with a really relaxed and chilled out vibe. Wonderful food with mostly Mexican but other options as well, great breakfast buffet with omelet, waffle and crepe station. One of the best snorkeling areas in front of the hotel- so many fish and a sunken plane! There are big cruise ships parked just off shore and obstruct the view but its a great location. Entertainment included nightly shows with dancers or a band which were very lively. Our one bedroom suit was clean and modern. Our waiters Victor and Oscar took excellent care of us at every meal! We will definitely be back soon.

Amazing snorkeling! Some of the best snorkeling I’ve ever seen near a cruise port. Easy access by small beach area (a bit rocky) or by ladder into the deep water. Amazingly colorful AND friendly/hungry fish right away and throughout the swim. Swim along perimeter of roped area and you’ll see airplane wreck, anchor, and clear deep water with all sizes of fish.
