The Westin Cozumel

Went through hurricane Beryl here! I’ve been coming here once or twice a year for the past few years and I have to say the service has definitely been improving. Hurricane Beryl was dealt with impressively. I’m really grateful to the relentless staff who did absolutely everything in their power to try to keep guests as comfortable as possible. Rules were strict and all guests had to be relocated to a safe room with makeshift beds (these beds were improvised from beach chairs so you can imagine it was not comfortable but they had to improvise on the spot and move quickly - so they dressed these things the best they could to make them comfortable). I can only assume all requirements were coming through dynamically from corporate and they had to adjust and adhere to them as well as keep the guests informed, calm and safe - a very tough job! At one point a hurricane shutter/giant wood panel came off in the middle of the most powerful part of the hurricane and staff was taking turns holding this in place with their bare hands until repairs were made (from the outside where winds were 115 MPH 🫣) so that guests wouldn’t be bothered. They all worked collaboratively as a team in ways I haven’t seen before, and makes me appreciate the attitude and culture of these people. They were relentless, service-focused, and I imagine absolutely exhausted as they took mini naps seated on chairs, while tending to our every need though the entire night. We had shelter, food , water, even coffee. I am immensely grateful for the way they cared for guests.
Westin management though can invest in some better make-shift bedding given this is a hurricane zone and could use having this handy.

Amazing hotel, with clean, big and pleasant rooms! We arrived at the hotel following an unpleasant experience at another hotel and found that it was only for our benefit, we were received at West-In in a very good way. The service was excellent, the food is really delicious, everyone were pleasant. There is a lot to do at the hotel and we didn't want to leave. Highly recommended!

This was our first time as a family to come to Cozumel and we just had an amazing time! Ricardo Was absolutely fantastic as were the rest of the staff here.

We did the Mother’s Day dinner (Which Ricardo suggested) and oh my gosh it was absolutely amazingly delicious and beautiful.

The snorkeling was so great even our 4 year old enjoyed looking at all the fish.

Our room included breakfast and there was never a bad breakfast! Coffee was as great. Cynthia is always making Eggs with a smile!

My friend & I booked four nights at the Westin, and we got a bonus fifth night for free because our flight back home got canceled.

The staff here are the real MVPs, especially Vicky, our beach server, who was an absolute sweetheart. She kept our glasses full and always had a smile on her face. The front desk crew was super sweet and helpful, especially Damion and the guy with the black glasses (sorry, I forgot your name!).

The rooms were cold, clean, and had the comfiest beds. I usually have trouble sleeping when I travel, but I got the best sleep here. Our patio was oversized with a jacuzzi & a cute decorated wall.

The spa was a bit small, but it had everything we needed for a relaxing rainy day.

The beach was gorgeous, and the water was crystal clear. We saw a bunch of fish and stingrays just off the shore. You should bring a snorkel and mask and an easy-to-inflate float.

We didn't use the downstairs pool, but we loved the rooftop pool. The ocean views from up there were breathtaking.

As for food, we didn't eat at the hotel restaurants much, except for late-night room service (get the club sandwich) because there are a ton of great restaurants nearby. Our faves were The Original Lobster House, La Cabana del Pescador, Buccanos, and Crazy King Burrito. Hemingway's was a cool beach club, but the food was kind of meh.

I read the reviews on this hotel after booking and I was nervous but my experience was amazing here. The hotel was maybe 6/7 minutes from the airport. The room was really nice and clean and we had a great view! The staff was also nice and very helpful. The food was really good too! The beach area was clean, the water is clear and there were a ton of fish to see. We also did the snorkeling that the hotel provided and it was also nice. We had the all inclusive package so we kept a drink in our hand and we stayed fed. They had live performers Saturday and Sunday night. There was also a lobster house across the street from the hotel that had really good food. My boyfriend and I had the time of our life I definitely marked this hotel as one I’ll be visiting again

We truly enjoyed the Westin Cozumel and all of the staff. It didn't hurt that we were fortunate enough to get upgraded to a two room suite on the top floor. The room was awesome with a very comfortable bed, strong AC, a huge tub, and an unbeatable view.

Breakfast was included due to status with Marriott and it was an awesome spread. The wonderful woman making the egg orders did a great job and had a wonderful smile. We were able to dine outside on the water each morning.

Javier, the concierge, was a pleasure to work with at check in and many thanks for the upgrade as it truly made the stay amazing. Our house cleaner Lorenzo went above and beyond cleaning our room with a few small touches that didn't go unnoticed. We really enjoyed chatting with Fernando at the entrance and learning more about the hotel and the property's history.

While the beach space is small, at no point did it feel crowded. It didn't feel like a competition to find chairs and shade for two. The snorkeling was fantastic if you're willing to drift north and walk or swim back it's well worth it.

Be sure to go across the street for a key lime pie :)

The gym has filtered water on tap if you're trying to avoid countless water bottles to stay hydrated.

Overall, this property exceeded all of our expectations and we hope to return in the future.

Best hotel on Cozumel! The staff is so friendly, drinks are delicious, great beach for kids! The adults only rooftop pool is a great escape from the main pool area if needed. Dinners were fantastic and well presented! Staff was always eager to help and were incredibly kind. Will be back!

I really enjoyed our recent stay here. The hotel is bright and clean. The beach and pool areas are not large but do not feel crowded. It wasnt hard to find a chair throughout the day.

We had the all inclusive plan and if I had been there more than 3 days I would have tired of the selection but for our short time the convenience was nice. The food was all good, and we didnt go hungry but none of it was amazing. Drinks were all delicious.

The room was a bit small. We are a family of 3 and the space felt tight. But it was clean and the bed was comfortable and there was no noise from other rooms.

Service was good throughout the property. Being able to snorkel right off the beach was so cool!

I would definitely return.

My partner and I had the best time at The Westin Cozumel.
The private beach has pristine, crystal clear water, the service is amazing, the food is great and the SPA offers relaxing and soothing treatments.
We loved every instant we spent here: we recommend enjoying the snorkelling in the surroundings because the water close to the hotel - specifically close to the hotel’s restaurant is full of colourful fish.
The food is delicious: the breakfast combines international dishes (including omelettes freshly made - thanks Gabriela for your help and service!) with Mexican dishes; also, we dined twice at the hotel restaurant and we equally appreciated the dining menu.
As said, we enjoyed a massage at the SPA - although a little bit expensive, we really had an amazing time and helped us relax and cherish our time at the Westin.
The hotel has also a rooftop with another pool and an amazing view, which is ideal for a cocktail during sunset hours.
With that being said, we totally recommend staying at this hotel for the amazing Caribbean beach, the service level, the quality of the food, and the facilities such as the SPA. A+!!!

This hotel have a decoration very modern,and elegant all the details in him are incredible, and the most remarkable Its the delicious scent of green tea wit citrus, all the hotel smell delicious,Its a beautiful place. All the time was incredible, have a delicious food, the service is great, the personal people very gentle, the place have a big living room is beautiful. Have ATM in case if do you need money, have a office in case if you want a rent a car, have 2 restaurants one open all the day have menu and buffet and have a great view most close to the ocean,and the other open just for the dinner and is Italian food.
All the rooms have a beautiful view to the ocean and the size is very big, so that is beautiful because you feel most comfortable in the space. The hotel have a local in case do you want to do activities like snorkeling, scuba,trip in boat or aquatic motorcycle, etc. Have two swim pool, one down in the beach and the second up in the hotel, bot have a beautiful view for all the ocean,in different perspectives it's amagazin, we feel very great or vacations in this beautiful hotel.

We had such an amazing experience staying here. Get the all inclusive, it’s worth it! Seems a lil far from the city but it’s really only 7min drive (we rented a buggie so not sure how much taxi is but there’s taxi everywhere in town). Front desk is super nice and helpful. We got there a lil earlier then check in time so they send us to the restaurant, omg delicious seafood & amazing view. You can snorkel (I would recommend to buy snorkel mask before going to hotel, at their store is a lil pricey$30). They also have a jet ski ($80/30min) which was super fun! The rooftop infinity pool is adults only amazing views and drinks.
Breakfast was delicious with big variety and different options every day, we loved it!
The dinner was ok, they have pasta which I would recommend mussel spaghetti it was so delicious. Service was amazing is both restaurants and all the bars. We also ordered room service one night and food was yummy (they have 24hours room service with all inclusive). I honestly loved staying here and would recommend it!! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, they are a little outdated you can see some marks on the wall and the fridge is not the best.

Amazing stay! Really enjoyed the westin. The food was amazing, the staff was excellent, and the hotel is clean and updated. The location is only a $10 cab ride to downtown and is totally walkable. Probsbly the best service and food ive had at a resort

Amazing location beach side with a great view , everything you need in one spot. breakfast spot, pool, bar and great night time restaurant. All staff was polite and helpful especially at the breakfast restaurant . We also got massages and hydrotherapy at the spa and it was a great value.

I love the Westin Cozumel! From our first visit, I’m already planning a return trip. It was my first time on the island where I had zero expectations but after visiting the Westin here, they definitely made my stay special and memorable. I was able to coordinate with concierge on excursions, get change in USD for gifts, restaurant recommendations that are off property and taxis to go into town. Know that the hotel is about a 10 minute ride from the airport or the downtown main strip which is super convenient. The taxis were about $20 round trip and they accept USD so plan accordingly. After getting off the plane, I was able to catch the sunset on their rooftop pool deck. They had a bar pool-side that was ready to make you a mixed drink to enjoy with your view. From there, it got pretty dark even with seeing the lights across in Cancun/Rivera Maya. From there I hit the hotel lobby bar which was almost always decorated and had a great bartender on staff. Onto the rooms and the views. Every ocean view room was spectacular. Our room was on the 11th floor so we had a birds eye view of the entire property from the main pool deck and snack bar to Las Gaviotas (the property’s main seaside restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner). Pictured are some of meals offered at Las Gaviotas and Cozumil (located behind the hotel lobby bar). Both restaurants offered amazing dishes from beef, chicken and seafood offerings and even have vegetarian options. One of our favorite lunches was the ahi tuna steak paired with vegetables and french fries. Simply the best meal there. You’re also able to grab food and drinks on the main pool deck which is super helpful when you’re not fully dressed. Note that the restaurants didn’t have strict dress codes but still had elegance for lunch and dinners. Also note that breakfast at Las Gaviotas is the only option aside from room service. The staff was also super helpful while staying on property and helping you with restaurant info if needed. They check in on you as you walk past the front desk which was nice. I was also able to use Zazil spa twice for massages and their tub soaks that they advertise. Both services were amazing with the exception of the couple massage which was the best. After our service, we were able to use the spa room with outdoor whirlpool and were provided a dessert and drinks to enjoy for some time afterwards. If you’re a snorkeling fan, this hotel is perfect. The scuba hut provides one free hour of snorkeling daily which was easy because the beach had tons of fish even as you walk in. Make sure to bring some water shoes as the beach does have lots of rocks so the shoes would make entering and exiting the beach a lot easier. As you look left and right, there’s a lot more beach to explore on the right as the left side leads to more beach clubs and ends with a path covered in bushes. All in all, The Westin Cozumel is by far one of the nicest properties on the island as it’s well maintained and secure. Rest assured, if you’re looking for rest and relaxing with great food and drinks, The Westin Cozumel is the place for you.

This is our go to place in Cozumel. I literally sat down exhausted with the bags while my wife checked in. A hotel clerk walked over to me with a nice drink and the biggest warmest smile. Vacation has begun.

This is what is awaiting us in the room. Just always a mixture of pleasure and paradise being here.

Stayed here for 9 nights. Loved it! My only complaint is that it was a bit far from town and the cabbies all knew that they were the only way in so they’d charge a lot more. We did the math and ended up renting a car for like $30/day which was one round trip cab ride into town. This allowed us to explore the entire island. Check out Emily’s car rental. They were great! Dropped the car off at the hotel and picked it up when we were done a few days later.

This is our second time staying. We came back here for my birthday.
The beach in front of the hotel is small, but many fish are swimming near the hotel.
So, you can enjoy snorkeling.
The food is good. All staff are polite.
Equipment in the Fitness is well maintained.
You can rent a kayak, SUP and so on.
All in all, my wife and I love this property.

We are booking for our 3rd stay at the Westin. The service, rooms and amenities have always been 5 star. The food is good, and sometimes great. But we usually find a local spot for some suppers to experience the area.

Just come back from 7 days in Paradise at this incredible Westin 4 stars Hotel with Extraordinary staff.

The location is superb for people who loves snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with gorgeous beach and lovely swimming pool on the beach.

We are Titanium Members for more than 10 years and we are travelling around the world for business and leisure and this Westin Cozumel was one of the most wonderful Marriott property for the service provided from a genuine friendly and personable Team. ❤

We absolutely loves our Suite on the highest floor with a gorgeous balcony.
