Casa del Mar Cozumel Hotel & Dive Resort

A perfect hotel, has exactly what you need! Inexpensive, well-maintained, quiet, and accommodating staff. I’m a 30-something woman who traveled alone and felt safe here.
Away from the noise and craziness off the main ferry port.

The swimming area was adequate… just if you want to swim around for a minute, cool off, see a couple fish. Shaded places to lounge throughout the grounds. If you’re coming for a beach I’d recommend another hotel or go visit another.

The center of the hotel has a nice small green space and fountain, it’s actually quite nice soothing ambiance. For ground floor rooms there’s little patios and a nice pathway leading out to the pool area and beyond. It’s nicely lit at night.

And another little nicety… which I would never mention, but was unexpected! …the shampoo/conditioner and soaps smell really nice!!! The shampoo smells like honey. :)

Very friendly staff. Nice pool with swim up bar. Good access to the ocean. Great food served at the on-site restaurant! Beautiful sunset views! Dive shop on site as well. Checks all the boxes!

It is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are pretty basic, but the bed being firm was absolutely perfect for my husband and I .There are hooks and ample space on the balcony to hang your diving and snorkeling gear. They are building onto the resort above floor two, so It can be noisy between 9 am and 6 pm, but I don't know why anyone would be in their room during those hours when there is a big beautiful ocean surrounding Cozumel.

Peaceful, pleasant divers hotel - super convenient to affiliated boat dock just over a small walking bridge. We love the poolside shower for rinsing off gear and self on hotel side of bridge. Swim up bar is small but fun. Breakfast was nice, with friendly waiters and plentiful food. We enjoy the grounds as well - nice garden stroll to breakfast. We’ve stayed twice at casa del mar, and enjoyed it both times. Rooms are on the small side, but clean and pleasant. Toiletries in bathrooms are great - we love their shampoo and conditioner. Love the small balcony for viewing sunsets and hanging wetsuits swimsuits, and gear to dry. Colored tile accents make everything bright and cheerful. Bed was very comfy with clean, crisp sheets. A/c was excellent! Towel animals on beds made the room feel special. Only had dinner there once - it was fine but nothing noteworthy, and prices were a bit high for the area. We mostly ate dinners across the street (shrimp fajitas waterside - not to be missed). We enjoyed the open air dining area at the hotel for breakfast, though, as well as evening drinks and snacks while we watched our group’s diving video at the end of our trip. Very reasonably priced and pleasant place to stay if you aren’t insistent about things being fancy. Not a nightlife place - very peaceful and relaxing, which is just right for us. Plenty of places nearby if you ‘re wanting to go out and explore. Jeep rental and pharmacy both next door, which was convenient. Cheap taxi ride to main parts of town, or easy walk to shopping and other eateries.

I would give 10 stars on service if I could. Definitely recommend. Javier and Wilberth are the absolute best. This is our 2nd time staying, and will not be the last.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, rooms cleaned every day, right across from the dive shop.

Not fancy but great atmosphere ... clean, spacious, and great service with a friendly and responsive staff. Internet was sufficient for business. Within walking distance of the Puerta Maya cruise ship piers and a 10 minute taxi / 35 minute walk to downtown. At the end of the day, very relaxing to hang out at the pool during happy hour and watch the comings and goings on the water.

We stayed here five nights and it exceeded our expectations. The value was amazing. Just walk over the bridge and you are at the docking pier to get on the dive boats. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and set up for divers. The restaurant is perfect - I just wished it opened at 630am instead of 7. Will come back many times

Great place to stay if you want to avoid the crowds. Spent a relaxing week here diving and exploring the island. Unbelievable coral reefs right off thier beachfront. Food was also very good in the restaurant and was very reasonable pricing for a resort. Will definitely be back again. Special shout out to Jose at the front desk and Wilbert, Victor and Javier in the restaurant. Amazing and kind staff! Thank you casa del mar!

Our experience here was great. The front desk was super helpful. They got us taxis when needed and answered all our questions. They even helped us look for a lost phone.

The pool area and rooms were kept quite clean every day.

The restaurant staff were always excited to see us and quick to get anything we needed. They were great with the kids too.

The dive staff were really friendly and took care of everything. It was great to be able to leave our gear there safely each day.

There was always plenty to do with quick access to everything.

This hotel was a great experience if you were diving. The hotel was positioned right next to the ocean and had a dive shop connected to it by a bridge. The diving center was very nice and the staff were super friendly. The hotel itself was very clean and nice and the room service was great. The location the hotel is in is slightly off from the main town so if you want to visit places in town I would recommend renting a car. But if you're just planning on diving it is a great choice.

THIS HOTEL IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. BEDS AND PILLOWS VERY COMFORTABLE. IT HAS A VERY HOMEY FEEL, THE STAFF ARE AWESOME AND THE RESTAURANT DECENT. WELL RUN. WE VISIT COZUMEL EVERY SUMMER, THIS IS OUR THIRD VIST WITH THE HOTEL AND WE WILL BOOK HERE NEXT SUMMER AND BEYOND. NO DESIRE TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. LOVE THIS HOTEL!!! I COULD RECOMMEND IT WITHOUT HESITATION!

We love staying here. It has some real Mexican charm and rooms are always clean. The staff is always really nice and helpful. We also love the restaurant staff who has been there for many years. They recognize us every time we come and provide great service. They have a pier where we go out for our dive drips. We will continue to come back and highly recommend!!

Highest praise to the staff at Casa Del Mar. Across the board, the best experience I've had with service, efficiency, and courtesy. Met staff there with 34 years experience there. Amazing.

What a find. I visit Cozumel 5 or 6 times a year. This place has it all. Great food, decent prices, warm jacuzzi, nice pool, easy access snorkeling, and a good dive shop o site. (Across the street). Close to town but far enough away. Excellent service. Our room is very nice, solid air, clean, kitchenette, up to date TVs and decent wireless, bed was comfortable for me, I usually picky, I do bring my own pillow. Water refill stations onsite, which I love. Plenty of places to walk to and explore. Pleasant surprise. Breakfast Buffett was very nice, 7/8 bucks? Comes with coffee, orange juice and milk with an omelette station. The bar is very cool, outside but covered. Made out of an old wooden ship. Service has been very nice.
Plenty of parking for my jeep. I would recommend to anyone. Price verses what hey point is on par.

Loved it. We had one if the cabanas. Lots of room. Came with a fridge, 2 burner stove and microwave and coffee maker. However there were no cups, plates, bowls, glasses, pots, or utensils which I found odd.

Pool was warm and very refreshing. Had a swim up bar. There was also a hot tub, but wasn't hot.

There is a beach club right across the street and a bridge they takes you there.

I would go back.

Staff is friendly and welcoming, and quick to respond if any problems with room. Love having the walkway to the water access so close. Prices at the restaurant are very affordable. Perfect to get up grab a coffee, omelette and head to the dock for a day of scuba.

Our first time going there with our dive loved it everyone was so friendly the rooms super clean food was and there plenty to eat I will be back next year

LOVED our stay here. Quiet rooms, lovely carved wooden decorations, and very friendly staff. The wait staff in the restaurant recognized us every time we went in, and one loved entertaining our daughter. He was like an abuelo (grandfather) to her all week.

The staff loved helping us learn new Spanish words and phrases, and it really helped us out a lot. Everyone spoke great English, but they loved it when we were trying to talk in Spanish. You could see they were delighted we made the effort.

The best part for us were the cats. There are cats wandering around that are fairly friendly, and the staff named them. No one tries shooing them away, and other guests were giving them table scraps. There was a really friendly black tabby who figured out charm = food, and is a pro at getting food. Also not a skinny kitty. Lol. There was a Siamese with a shortened tail that was our buddy for the week, and followed us around for pets and rubs. He even snuggled up on my lap for a nap out on our patio. It made being away from our own kitties a little easier.

We had a cabana for the week, and it was very nice. Showers had good pressure, beds were a bit hard but still comfortable, and the staff converted the sofa to a bed for the fourth person traveling with us. Kitchenette was small but usable, especially because we only used it to reheat leftovers.

Didn't spend much time at the pool as we were diving all week. LOVED the bridge that went right to the dive shop.

We're looking forward to staying here again!
