This shop is awesome. We had three flats in a group on Flint Hills Trail and John drove 22 miles to meet us and help us with repairs fixing our bikes in Casey’s parking lot. He brought a rack, tubes, spare supplies for us and he even texted us three hours after to make sure we were ok. The service attitude of the shop and of John were outstanding and we appreciate them very much. If you are in the area support this shop. If you’re into bikes and in Ottawa, this is a must stop. The shop has a good atmosphere, plenty of bikes and all the essentials to go with them. If you like coffee or disc golf, this is a good stop for you too. Awesome ownership and a knowledgeable staff makes this a top notch local bike shop!

These guys are great. Did a walk-in two days in a row with tire and brake issues from riding the Flint Hills trail and they rolled me in at opening to fix me right up. They know their stuff and really go out of their way to accommodate you, like letting me in 15 minutes prior to opening. good job!

Great place to shop and learn about bicycles! They are good at fixing them too. Great group ride and Waffles on Sat. They have the best guard dog and there is a brewery, pie shop and ice cream store just down the street. Oh, and the Prairie Spirit and Flint Hills trails are right outside their back door!
Just a new note. I cannot rave enough about their support for the riders and the service. I have bought a bike here. My brother and best friend bought an E bike here and we are all still happy campers! So glad they are still here in Ottawa. Thanks John and Jeff for your wonderful business ethic! Kelly Pinet

I'm brand new to the cycling world, so picking out a solid entry-level bike seemed a little intimating to me. However, as soon as I walked through the door Jeff put me at ease. He was incredibly friendly and professional, and answered every question I had, no matter how basic or silly it was. He helped me pick out the perfect bike and he and John had it put together that very same day! I can't thank the guys at Ottawa Bike and Trail enough for their patience and their expertise. I certainly won't be going anywhere else for anything biking related and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new bike or that are just getting into cycling like me.

Our organization, Mission Minded KC identified a woman with a need for a bike. We are a resource center that connects people with much needed resources. She had recently been relocated to a stable living environment, and had held her job for over 5 years. However, she had no way of getting to and from work except walking, which was a good distance on foot. Once we discovered her need, I immediately went on Next Door and posted a request for a bike. Within an hour, Jeff’s wife from Ottawa Bike & Trail contacted me and said they may have something that is suitable. Fast forward a few days later, and she has a beautifully working bike! They even gave her a helmet and bike lock! Thank you to Ottawa Bike & Trail for your generous donation that was much needed!

This shop and staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Purchased a Giant Talon 4 last weekend and couldn't be happier. Great place to shop with fair prices a top notch customer service.

The guys at Ottawa bike and trail sold me a two footed kick stand and installed it the same afternoon. I love it. I've had no problems with it.
They recommended tires for me to purchase after learning the type of riding I'd be doing most. The recommendation has turned out well for me.
I also appreciate they hosted an acoustic jam on Wednesday nights, at least before the pandemic hit they did. I don't think they profited financially from that, but they aren't solely motivated by financial gain.
Their shop is neat and they usually have quality vinyl spinning and it's nice to stop in and shoot the breeze. Ottawa Bike and Trail is a great part of a great Ottawa downtown. They know the local trails and can provide valuable advice about those resources.
They do a lot for Ottawa. I highly recommend a visit.

We’ve bought 4+ bikes here and had our bikes serviced here numerous times. Jeff and his crew always take great care of us. The trail next to the store is amazing and Jeff serves as a great community ambassador to the area.

They host fun events and rides for all levels. Our favorite is the overnight BBQ musical festival and camp out.

It’s well worth the drive from Overland Park. Get out of the city and have some fun.

Ottawa Bike and Trail is always well stocked and has amazing customer service. They are also true ambassadors of the intersecting Flint Hills and Prairie Spirit trails, Ottawa and surrounding community, and the outdoors! Their sponsorships, collaborations with other businesses, and outreach efforts to build a strong cycling presence in the community makes them far more than a bike shop. It has been fun to watch this business grow and add value to our community. If your adventure takes you to Kansas, stop in and see the place! If you live in Eastern Kansas, be on the lookout for their events and join a weekly ride!

Got my first gravel bike here, and Jeff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He switched out the handlebars for me, allowing me a more comfortable ride. Great atmosphere, great dog, great service!! I started following Ottawa Bike and Trail on Facebook and am really intrigued with all the events they post.

I ordered a comfort bike from Giant's website. Giant shipped the bike to Ottawa Bike and Trail to assemble. They did a great job, and even took the time to fit the bike to me when I picked it up. I had them add a couple of accessories, too. I started having a shifting issue after a few weeks, so I returned to have them look at. They got to work immediately and corrected the problem on the spot. Great experiences!

Very knowledgeable and helpful! They helped get us started in our biking adventures. They are always eager to assist us with repairs, maintenance and upgrades. A great resource for biking routes as well. I love the weekly rides in the summer time that they host. Highly recommend for anyone from beginners to advanced riders!

Ottawa Bike is a FRIENDLY, helpful bike store! They’re NOT condescending or snooty, and are never too busy to talk and help. They are positive, knowledgeable folks. I’ve bought accessories and parts from them, and have attended events they’ve organized.

I've been going to Ottawa Bike and Trail since they opened a couple of years ago. Jeff and Jon have treated me like family and have built an inclusive biking community for Ottawa. I've bought and traded several bikes and always got a great deal, and the service work has been exemplary. By far the best experience i've had out of the Topeka, Lawrence, or KC shops i've visited in the past.

Jeff, John and, of course, Deeks, provide some of the best customer service around! You can really tell they love what they do! I highly recommend stopping in to check out their selection of bikes and accessories! They service/repair bikes in-house as well!!! We have enjoyed doing business with them for a couple of years now and highly appreciate having such a great shop in our area! They are also active in the local community, offering more resources to help keep our community active and healthy! They plan and execute rides weekly and assist with other initiatives to keep our community healthy. Great asset to our community!

This is a perfect example of an amazing bike store, the moment you walk in smell freshly brewed coffee and see the bikes and accessories you just know you'll be staying for awhile. I just recently purchased my first "real" bike at OB&T. These guys showed amazing patience in getting me the proper bike and fit at competitive prices. What a great asset to Ottawa! I highly recommend them.
