We rented the on site camper and were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the camper. It was well stocked and very clean, everything one might need for a comfortable getaway was there. Just bring groceries. Definitely would do it again.

We had a great time at the campground met many nice people that truly made us feel at home and as if we’ve known them our whole life. Angie the manager was fantastic, she hads made the campground a family affair which we rarely see on our travels around the Country. We hope to return again soon and visit with our new found friends in Kentucky!

The spots are tight but this is the most friendliest group of people we've ever met. I would say 85% of everyone is FT / seasonal. It is right on the Kentucky River and has full hook ups. I tried to book a site online but said it was full. I took a shot, sent an email and we got in. 🙂 There's a turtle pond which is a must see. Playground for the kids right next to the pavilion with a fireplace for the adults. It is down in the hollar with trees all around, but we managed to get just enough on our starlink to watch hulu, make calls, emails, but not enough for zoom. We were in site 80. It appears the back row of the 80's sites is where transient would stay. We like it, we'd come back again.

Fantabulous little campground right on The Kentucky River. Angie was an outstanding and extremely friendly and accommodating host. The Price was right... perfect location for us (9 mins from Buffalo Trace) and while the sites were somewhat tight together, it was very quiet while we were there and not busy (its early October). Loved the free firewood.... all dried and split! We'll definitely be back!

What a great bunch of people! We rolled in on our motorcycle and they greated and welcomed us with open arms. They were cooking dinner and invited us to eat. The place was clean. Only a few tent sites and very limited sites for campers because most the people are seasonals.
If we are in town again, we will be going here again.

This is my first time to camp here, and definitely not my last. It is so quiet and peaceful, right on the river. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

This campground is amazing. Besides the clean wonderful facilities and easy access to the river. The people are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met. They treated us like family and it felt like we were at a family reunion. If you need a place to camp in Kentucky there is no other place then here.

Love this place, tons of things for kids to do, the river view is beautiful! People are so nice and inviting. Glad I could use my golf cart there too!
Winding road leading down to the campground is full of little waterfalls after a rain too, so relaxing.

Absolutely beautiful place to camp and the people are so welcoming and they make you feel like family. The river is great for a boat ride or just getting your feet wet. I can't wait to go back and hang out with the friendliest people I have ever met.

KRC is now on the top of my list of favorite camp grounds.
Angie, the manager made us feel as if we have known her for years. The maintenance crew was great aswell. They truly went above, and beyond with their service.
We are full time RV travelers. We have experienced many different resorts. And the crew at Kentucky River Campground is one of the few across the country, that made us feel completely at home.
We look forward to our future visits.
And would like to thank everyone here for being so kind, and enjoyably friendly...

Great little campground, the sites however are right on top of each other. So as long as you're cool with close neighbors you should be good. It's right on the river for floating and fishing. Convenient location for the bourbon trail!

The people. The apartment. The environment. OUTSTANDING!
We could not have asked for a better place to stay or for kinder people to welcome us! Highly highly recommend for individuals, couples, and families alike!!
I cannot say a bad thing about it.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. It was our first time ever taking our RV out. Everyone was willing to answer any questions we had. They had free coffee in the house where you check in at. Also had like a little store type thing where you could get some supplies. The campground was beautiful and very well maintained!

Had a surprise Birthday party there for my wife. This place was awesome. They have 2 covered pavilions. One is completely enclosed so great for inclimate weather. The people there were great right down to the maintenance men. Hidden gem off the beaten path but worth it.

Six of my family and friends were on a Rockin Thunder boat trip from Madison, Indiana to Frankfort, Kentucky. The kind folks at Kentucky River Campground invited all 17 people on the boat to join them for a cookout and lunch smorgasbord. I inadvertently left my purse behind at the campground. Captain Paul Nicholson, from Rockin Thunder, called the campground and told Denise my dilemma. She found my purse and Angie mailed it to me at my home in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are such honest, friendly, and warm people. Thank you!!

This place has been amazing from the first time we came to check it out. There are plenty of cool people who do seasonal camping and activities to enjoy with them. If you like bourbon, Jerry will give you a few tastes 😂.
