Primo's Pizza

Holds its own with any great pizza joint. High quality cheese, fantastic sauce, and their "original" crust (most would call it hand tossed - not too thick or too thin) is perfect. We order at least once a month, and have never been disappointed. Always amazingly good!

I don’t remember what I got but I’m sure it was the Philly cheese steak pizza. That’s my usual order and they have endless varieties. Every time I go I try to order something different.

I recently learned you can get a different specialty pizza on either half so I’m sure the ones I have tried will expand.

Otherwise the service is always impeccable, I’ve had no issues with them whatsoever whether it’s been delivery or in store. Food is rich and flavorful and the small is fulfilling

Always a good atmosphere, plenty of space for large groups. The pizza is well priced with lots of cheese and toppings!

I was in town on a business trip and this pizza place came HIGHLY recommended from the hotel staff. I tried them that night and I was not disappointed!! The meat pizza was full of toppings and cheese, and tasted better than the franchise pizza places. The wings were also good and hot, by the time it arrived at my room. If I’m in town again I will order again!!

Super friendly staff, fast service, and their pizza blows domino's and Papa Johns out of the water. Possibly the best pizza in carbondale within walking distance of town and campus. Quality ingredients and well baked pizza unlike the disgusting saucepies served at wiseguys.

You really can't beat a delicious giant XL 3 topping for $13.49. Would recommend to anyone who likes a tasty pizza.

In my many years of trying various Carbondale pizzas, I've got to say Primos is the best. Name another place around that offers Calzones? I've never been disappointed here, honestly I think the customer service they offer is one of the biggest reasons why I keep coming back. Once I asked for a square cut pizza, and they forgot to do that. No big deal in my book, it's the same pizza I wanted, no wrong toppings or anything just cut a little different. I wouldn't have complained at all but they made me a whole nother pizza that was square cut and let me keep the other one that was triangles. They go out of their way to make sure they can make their customers satisfied and happy. Their food is delicious, nothing rivals the chicken bacon ranch calzone. And sometimes they have cool challenges! Check em out!

Get their calzones!! Don't live in Carbondale any more, but always make a point to get a Primos calzone when I am back

First time ordering this pizza last week and for a couple that always orders from Pags, we were pleasantly surprised with the pizza from Primo's!

We ordered on a Saturday but earlier in the evening – staff were polite and the ingredients on the pizza we ordered tasted fresh!

We got a large deep pan pizza which was a nice combination of crisp and chewy crust! We enjoyed the calzone as well. Overall, looking forward to trying more from this place!

Primo's is an independent pizza shop in Carbondale, Illinois. I prefer their thin crust "tavern style " pizza. Their original crust slices are tasty, but often, the cheese slides off the slice. As a person who grew up in NYC, I like a foldable slice. If the crust on the original crust slices were a little crisper, that pizza would be excellent. They do sell single slices at lunchtime, which is not common in town.

Delicious pizza each and every time we order. My favorite is regular crust with bacon, shaved ham, and mushrooms. Each morsel tastes scrumptious. Great customer service as well. Nice friendly atmosphere.

I went to Carbondale to visit a friend and went to Primo's. Possibly the best pizza I've had by far, and the variety of the menu is astonishing. Great service and cozy dining area.

I ordered the pizza special two xL pizzas and added some well done hot wings and everything was amazing, hot and cooked correctly! I wish I could afford to eat her more often🥰

I moved down to Murphysboro from Chicago and struggled to find a pizza place down here that reminded me of home. Primos hit it out of the park! Their original dough isn’t frozen and they actually make me a sausage and meatball pizza that’s absolutely perfect! Can’t rave enough about them. I order so often they’ve begun to know who I am, lol.

The amount of toppings is what sets this place apart. My calzone was legit, and my family's GF pizzas were the best they've ever had since most places equate GF with dieting. Not true here; their pizzas are loaded with toppings. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town!

I spent an afternoon here playing board games with friends in their back room! It was a Sunday so they had a small one-topping pizza (plenty for one person) and a drink deal for about $5.50. The pizza was greasier than I would have liked but I just dabbed it off and was very happy with it! Customer service was great, they even gave us a free small pizza that was a mess up order for another customer or something. Check this place out! They have many great options on their menu!

I want to give y’all a huge shout out and thank you at Primos. Today’s weather was icy, cold and treacherous and you still came through for this hungry lady with fast, hot, delicious food! I had ordered grocery delivery several hours ago and was still waiting, very hangry. I finally called and asked if you were delivering and was told yes, so I canceled my grocery order and ,gladly, went with you.

Place rocks,,,local,not a national chain,,college town kind of pizzeria. Great selection.
One of the few places you can get a decent calzone. Salads are no joke. I get a calzone and an Italian salad ( like a chef salad with Italian meats). For under 20,,real food,real good.
Love them,,go support the local cats.

Primo's is one of the few places which delivers to my house, even though we really aren't that far out of town. For that, they get many kudos! Also, their delivery is very fast. Our food is always hot and fresh when it arrives, and it's usually here before their ETA. They are friendly and helpful. Oh, and the food is good! I won't say it's the very best pizza in town, but it is a very good option for less money. The calzones are awesome. The Thai chili chicken pizza is worth trying.

Best Pizza in town if you are looking for a quick, friendly and casual pizza experience.

(June 2016 update) Our awesome experience continues. Mel is super! Our little one enjoys getting a ball of dough while we wait. Italian pizza is the best and since our little one prefers cheese they often cut us a deal on the second small order.

Hands down the best pizza in Carbondale. Those of you who been around for a while will know what I mean when I say on the same level as La Roma's was. Extremely friendly delivery drivers and in house staff, your pizzas are made quickly, with fresh ingredients, that are paired with an amazing sauce to bring together a really enjoyable dining experience. Weather you are eating in, or having it delivered, you'll be very happy you ordered. The location is a bit difficult to find, but worth it. I just finished two slices cold out of the ice box from last night, 20 minutes ago.. It's even delicious the next day. So the next time you need pizza, I highly suggest you call Primos. I doubt very much you'll be disappointed. For the best tasting Pizza, dine-in. When it's fresh out of the oven, it simply can't be matched.
