Hickory Tavern

This is my go to spot for lunch. We are here at least 3 times a week. The atmosphere and the service is great. Our server, Laura is excellent! Honestly if Laura isn’t there we don’t eat. It’s always good to be in a place where you have service like that.

The food was great. I watched the NC State Final 4 🏀 game. They saved me a table. I had the chicken sandwich and cheese grits. The food came out fast, and it was delicious

I scheduled a graduation dinner for my son. The GM did everything he could to accomodate my party of 30 in his dining room during their dinner rush. The food was good, the servers were patient and attentive. I could not be happier with how the occassion turned out. We had guest from out of state that really enjoyed the experience. Everyone thought it was a great place to have the dinner and we all left satisfied. Thanks!

Excellent experience at hickory tavern today. Service was prompt from the bar and Cynthia took care of my wife and I very well. Food was very tasty and would def recommend the fish and chip or cheese steak. Healthy portions and nice and hot. Definitely will be back again soon!

I have been here many times. The weekday bartender, Maya, is very nice. The food is good and they have tons of options for beer. The whole area is expensive, so it's right around what you'd expect.

Went here for lunch with a coworker and it's awesome 👌!! They have a wide variety menu with their own personal style to what they cook and how they serve!! I got the street tacos with a salad as my side and it was fresh ,cold and hot exactly where it needed to be. My sever was great,smiley and helpful fo a first time visit. I'll eat here again. Believe THAT!!

Waitress was very nice, and the food was great. I had a cheese steak with no peppers; but extra queso and enjoyed it. I do also recommend their wings and the create your own salad they offer.

This Patio Sports Bar Restaurant is a very comfortable and enjoyable place to have social meetups with family and friends... I enjoyed the double smash BBQ Burger and it was delicious...the huge onion rings were very tasty... I really enjoyed the open air patio... The staff was friendly and the speed of service in line with what one hopes and expects.... I definitely recommend...

To be honest I wasn't expecting that much out of the place, but it really surprised me.

Their specialty BBQ Chicken Nachos are great, and the way the Asian power bowl salad came together really just worked.

There is so much to be said about the service. For the past many times I’ve come, I never saw as good of a service as I saw Monday. I was honored to be served by Ronnie and welcomed in and out by Archita. She greeted me with a beautiful smile and even though she was just a host, I saw her deal with customers maturely and did things above and beyond her job. She would pick up trash that her coworkers drop and dealt with disrespectful customers in a very professional manner for her age. She made time to do a little of everyone’s job and I never caught her not doing something. Ronnie really captured our interests and actually recommended me great things to try which I will always order from now on. Even with multiple tables, he never failed to check in on us and made sure everyone was doing fine constantly. My kids love him because he never forgets to get them crayons and kids menus with a high chair and I think it was a very nice gesture of him to do so every single time. I think these two worked well together and complement each other even at times where it was crowded which made the atmosphere a lot better. Hickory Tavern is now a place I visit as much as I can.

Was here on Saturday for some food with friends, our server Kristen was absolutely amazing, it was busy but she made us feel important and accommodated every request! I would give the service 6 stars if I could.

I go to the Hickory Tavern every Wednesday afternoon for our local real estate investors meeting. Laura is our server, and she does a fantastic job. I don't know how she manages to keep track of everyone's order! Nice one, Laura. Keep up the great work.

I have ordered to-go couple times here. Food is really tasty. There is a bar with lot of liquor choices. A lot of TVs around for you to watch sport and chill.

Special note :

The best part about ordering to go order from here is how neatly the staff pack the food. I have never gotten food from any restaurants around here which is neatly packed as this.

This is my go-to bar for football season. The food is great quality bar standard fare. There's a good selection of local beers on tap. The bartenders have always provided great attentive service and Myiam and Tylar have been a big part of that my last few visits. They're awesome!

Hickory Tavern offers a varied menu with generous, quality portions accompanied by excellent service. This is a fantastic option for dining out. They have a spacious dining room as well as ample outdoor seating. Don’t pass them by.

Had the best waitress, Laura; and food was excellent. Our meals were more than plentiful, hot, great tasting. Laura was so efficient, friendly and courteous. Best sandwiches around.

This place checks all the boxes for me, and I come here regularly. The staff is terrific, from Myiaim, Ty, Emma, Molly, Becca, Gabby, Laura, Dom, Aria, and the other servers to the back of house that keeps me well fed and the managers who work hard to make sure it all runs smoothly. The food is as consistent and delicious as anywhere around, there are tons of TVs, including the random videos on ChiveTV, to keep us occupied, and the vibe is always relaxed and friendly. Please bring back the previous cheese sticks and the food truck chicken and rice. Thanks in advance :)

we ordered power bowl and wings, both were so good. I like the veggies that bowl comes with. Had a good night there over all

Been here a few times and enjoyed it each time. Last time and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich while this time I partook in the weekend brunch special chicken wafflewich (picture attached). Both were very good. The chicken has consistently had a great crunch on the outside while moist in the center. The breading/dredge is very well seasoned and gives great contrast on the wafflewich. The pepper in the crust plays perfectly to the sweetness of the waffle and syrup.
Service has been good each time and they always have a very good selection of beer on tap.
Reasonably priced and appropriate for anyone looking for a good meal (not just sports fans).

The food was really good! Bbq chicken nachos, I asked for a turkey Reuben instead of their traditional. It was ridiculously good! The teriyaki charred chicken wings were a favorite of my friend.
