WILD about DOLPHINS-Captain Sheri's

Captain Sheri is the best! Her boat is comfy and her dolphin and other marine life knowledge is extensive and interesting! Thank you for a fab day!

My wife booked a half-day charter to watch dolphins and snorkel. I hadn't done either before so I didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be one of those few experiences that will remain with me for the rest of my days.

Captain Sheri, has a bubbly personality and has a wealth of knowledge about dolphins and the area. The dolphins knew her boat! When we arrived to the dolphins' location, they greeted us by swimming to the boat. We watched them play, hunt, and jump. When she turned on her music they swam just ahead of the boat - inches away from our dangling toes. One of the dolphins looked back at us to see who Sheri had brought with her this time. When we left, they said goodbye with a flurry of jumps as Sheri had predicted.

We then went to a reef and snorkeled. It was amazing! We saw columns of tiny fish. The refracted rays bouncing off of them created an oceanic light show that was beautiful. We also saw small tropical fish like tangs and larger animals like rays and tarpon.

I can't recommend Wild About Dolphins enough. By the way, who you choose matters! There were other larger boats with 20 people on them and we were so happy we chose the small intimate charter with Captain Sheri. The dolphins knew her, she knew them and we left with with a cherished experience. Sheri, if we come back to the area, we'll be sure to call!

Sheri went WAY Above and beyond to make sure we saw Dolphins….actually it wasn’t about the dolphins. It was about making sure our 3 young kids had the experience in the keys they will remember for a lifetime! Sounds cheesy but it’s the truth. Dolphins are wild animals and are not a guaranteed animal to see. Sheri made it her mission to find dolphins and she was successful! We had the most serene and peaceful encounter with several smaller pods of dolphins. It’s clear that Sheri has immense respect for the ocean, dolphins, and wildlife in general which we appreciated as a valuable lesson to our kids. It’s clear she loves dogs as well. She was extra accommodating for our young dog and made sure she was a part of our adventure. Sherri immediately sensed our kids were nervous at the first snorkeling site and moved us to another site that was much better for them. She asked us multiple times if we were thirsty and offered us ice cold drinks. She taught us about the area and pointed out interesting things the entire trip. Well worth the cost and more! Can’t say enough.

We had a fantastic day out in Key West with Captain Sheri and her pup Spirit. If you are wanting a private boat trip that’s one of a kind, Captain Sheri is the one to book with. We visited an awesome sand bar where my 4 year old got to play in the sand and we all got to enjoy the warm shallow water. She even had floaties for us to use! After the sandbar we were off to see dolphins! What a show! Her dog Spirit was so fun to have the boat with us.
We felt very well taken care of by Captain Sheri and will 100% book with her again next time we in Key West!

Sherry went above and beyond in all aspects including making sure our pups were comfortable and even provided toys for them. Sherry was wonderful and coached me through my first attempt at snorkeling. 10/10.

Spent an incredible afternoon with Cpt. Sheri who customized a private tour for us to go out and see the dolphins and to the sandbar for a swim (we didn't want to snorkel). She is informative, engaging, and a very special person overall. Very considerate of each person's needs. Would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND going out with Wild about Dolphins - and will do so ourselves if we return to Key West!

Our trip with Sheri was an experience of a lifetime. Her knowledge and love of both the dolphins and the area is inspiring. When the dolphins got close to the boat and rolled over to look at us, we knew it was on their terms and it made it all the more special. I'm not one to post on social media but I made the exception for her.

Outstanding! Captain Sheri is awesome! Our extended family took a 1/2 day tour (1pm-5pm), first-time experience for grandparents, and we all loved it! Friendly, informative, nice boat, and we got to see plenty of dolphins! We found a few dolphins in the harbour near Key West, got a nice view of the port, city, cruise ships, etc...then she took us out about 2-3 miles and we found a group of 7-8 dolphins. We just cruised along with them for about 15-20 minutes as the swam next to the boat, under the boat, etc.....they were so close. It was absolutely great! We had plenty of drinks (water, tea, soda) and snacks were provided. She even took us for a short snorkel stop. The water was a bit cloudy so this wasn't great, but not her fault, there had been bad weather for several days before our trip. When we got back to the docks we used the passes she had given us to visit the harbour club and use their pool and showers to clean up before dinner. One of the best experiences of our trip! Definitely worth the extra money to have a private tour.
Positives: Friendly and thoughtful captain, close-up experience with dolphins, nice boat, snacks, beverages, and nice snorkel gear provided.
Negatives: Her dog (Maya) was recovering from surgery and couldn't join us! Hope she's fully recovered now!

Great time with Captain Cheri.
We brought Husky and Aussie, played on the sand bar first, then encountered a bunch of Dolphins. She is extremely knowledgeable about Dolphins, Mangroves and all wild life along the way. Looking forward to going again with her.

This boat trip was the highlight of our visit. We brought the dog and she had a blast. Sheri had everything we could possibly need to make the ride comfortable from dog water/treats and sodas, to snorkel gear and floats. We see dolphins all the time, but not this many in such a intimate interaction. We felt very safe in Sheri's expert hands. Highly recommend!

We've researched quite a few companies offering dolphin watch and snorkeling in the area. Decided to go with Wild About Dolphins because of smaller group tour. We were so glad we did: The boat was nice and clean with a shade top to prevent hot Keys sun.
Captain Sheri made the tour really special with her enthusiasm and knowledge about the area, wildlife, environment and the dolphins.
She spent years travelling the world as a scuba diving instructor and is so passionate about what she does. We were the first ones to spot dolphins in the area. Captain Sheri gave us time to watch them. There was no rush and it felt like dolphins were recognizing the music she was playing and were having fun swimming around and under the boat, jumping and enjoying their time. More and more of them kept coming to the area. Snorkeling was next. What a treat for my teenage daughter. Since this was her first time snorkeling, Captain Sheri took her time making sure snorkeling equipment fit well, instructions were clear, and, at the end, joined her in the water for some snorkeling fun!!
There was plenty of snacks and drinks provided. We highly recommend this tour and would take it again when down in the keys. Thanks, Captain Sheri !!

Sheri is a wealth of knowledge and our group of four had a wonderful time learning about the dolphins and key west history. Skip the big names like fury, and spend time with Sheri! Thank you Sheri!! The one thing I didn't mention during our time together is we're Michigan state fans. Go green! Haha 😄

Captain Sheri is the dolphin whisper been in key west over a week Hers was the 3rd boat I got on (amazing grace) booked half day tour and seen dolphins 2 times ...she knows how to find them ,it was truly an amazing experience 😊

This was the highlight of our Florida Keys trip! We took a girls' trip (four of us) the week before Thanksgiving and Captain Sheri was extremely accommodating. She was very flexible in finding the best time for all of us - and she went above and beyond to make the trip a memorable, wonderful experience. It was obvious she knows her stuff. She exudes love and respect for the dolphins and the islands, and as such, it felt like a true honor to spend time with her for an afternoon adventure. We weren't interested in getting in the water at that time, so we spent our entire time pursuing a dolphin sighting. It took a good, long time, and we weren't sure we'd be lucky that day - but due to the skill, persistence, and connections of Captain Sheri, we came up successful in the end. It. Was. Magical. Absolutely breathtaking. Unlike any other dolphin experience. Truly, though, we all agreed that the hours spent exploring the waters and sights around Key West with Captain Sheri would have been well worth the time and money, even if we hadn't been lucky enough to see dolphins. We felt close to heaven in this time and are thankful for the memories we made.

Awesome trip. Captain Sherry is very knowledgeable and her dog Spirit is an awesome companion. We see dolphins for over an hour just swimming all around the boot.

We did the three hour tour yesterday. If you want to go with a guide that genuinely cares about the well being of the dolphins and has decades of experience with them, I would book here. We saw so many, including a newborn calf with fetal stripes and saw it A LOT closer than any of the tour boats. We even stopped by some mangroves before heading back to view some native birds. We learned so many cool facts about the wildlife, ecosystem, that we wouldn't have otherwise. Even if you don't snorkel, this tour is well worth every penny.

We had a beautiful time with Sheri and Spirit. We saw a group of dolphins as we scattered a family member’s ashes at sea, and Sheri was a great host. Top tier snorkeling equipment made it easy and fun.

Capt. Sherry was fantastic, she was very informative and friendly. She was able to find the dolphins and took us snorkeling which was awesome. Can't wait to go back !!
