We highly recommend using cakes by Karol! Our wedding cake turned out absolutely incredible. Not only was it beautiful but tasted incredible. All out our guest loved it! It was the perfect size for our small wedding. The unique key lime flavor was perfect. Definitely recommend if you’re getting married in Key West.

My wedding cake was the perfect wedding cake!! It was exactly what I wanted!! Cakes by Karol customer service was excellent. They kept me updated on everything and worked with the venue to get the cake delivered and we did not have to do anything. I highly recommend them!!

I’ve been meaning to write this review but I am “those people” that barely write any review regardless how good any place can be lol. Soooo this review is only but honest and left to said so looooong overdue.
I truly hope my review would be helpful to future brides out there having a destination wedding in Key West that don’t know much about the places and what not like myself at the time.
We’re a couple from New York and I was planning my own destination wedding (even thought I had a planner) but I wanted things a certain way, “the bride way/ bride vision”you know what I mean?! So, I thanked the internet in my searches and found Cakes By Karol. Well searching and looking at the reviews; isn’t fun at all but of what they offered, we’ve definitely clicked!
We had our wedding at the breathtaking Hemingway House so my fiancé and I at the time had an specific vision as we chose to have the so called regular wedding cake and the groom’s cookie cake… and so magic happened. The looks and flavors we chose were delicious and was made exactly as our wish that our guests were left wanting more, us included! lol
They made sure (with pictures) the cakes projected my vision exactly and I had my “Oh, gosh” moment that it looked so gorgeous on the outside and later so delicious in the inside, it was just so beautiful when I saw the pics confirming our vision… what a moment…no words for me/us, but only perfect. * pics attached.

Cakes by Karol is amazing and worth every penny. We had our wedding back in November and Karol made the cake process extremely stress free. The cake was phenomenal and tasted just perfect. Even during the cake tasting she made some suggestions after our initial choice and we’re glad we listened to her. She is a true professional and artist. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her as your next choice for a wedding cake!!! Don’t go anywhere else. She is the one!

For our wedding, we ordered a dessert tower for our guests. Cakes by Karol whipped up some fantastic key lime, strawberry cheesecake and chocolate mousse shooters that everyone raved about! We were working long-distance and the entire process was easy, we we very pleased with the results. Very budget friendly as well. Highly recommend!

Very accommodating business. You tell them what you want and they’ll get it done (for a price of course). It’s always a gamble when it comes to taste. I had a cake done professionally last year for my daughters birthday in cape cod and it was trash, so I was praying this was edible. Luckily we could actually eat a birthday cake this year! Definitely pricey, but I know nothing about cake making. Overall they came through on my daughters birthday and that’s all I could ask for. Even delivered to Latitudes on a separate island. Thank you, again. (For those that need to know the cake we got was dense and rich and sweet, but that’s all I’ll say about that)

Cakes by Karol hosted the desserts and cake for our wedding day last week. I have Celiac Disease and other food allergies so I stick mostly to a gluten free/vegan diet. Given that, we did a one tier gluten free, vegan cake with chocolate cake, peanut butter filling and vanilla buttercream icing with a blush flower on the side. Not only did our cake look beautiful, but you would have never known it was a gluten free, vegan cake - it was DELICIOUS! I totally recommend them whether you have food allergies or not. Our guests loved the dessert display we put underneath (key lime shooters, chocolate trifle shooters, peanut butter chocolate shooters, chocolate covered strawberries). Our guests ate them until they couldn't eat anymore, even after our reception had ended. Cakes by Karol worked amazing with all of this and the fact that we live almost 2,000 miles away. They kept in contact with us through emails, calls, etc. and always responded in a timely fashion. That was such a breeze to feel important so far away. Thank you Cakes by Karol! If we could give you more than 5 stars I would!

Karol was extremely pleasant to work with and brought our vision to life!! We did a 6 inch round with key lime & strawberry shortcake shooter tower below. Everyone was obsessed including us! It was gorgeous and delicious! Highly recommend.

Cakes by Karol did the most amazing job on our wedding cake!!! The cake was beautiful and flavors were to die for. The cupcakes were the margarita flavor and our top tier was margarita cake with raspberry filling, chocolate buttercream and white fondant icing...AMAZING absolutely amazing!!! We will definitely use her again. Thank you so much!!!

WOW! We had a wonderful experience with Cakes by Karol. From start to finish everything was perfect.... friendly & helpful staff, perfect presentation, and most importantly: DELICIOUS CAKE!! It was to-die-for! Cakes by Karol truly exceeded our expectations in every way.

Cakes by Karol is amazing. She was so attentive to detail. Very quick to respond to emails and super friendly. She was able to accommodate last minute our 3 cake toppers. The cake was mouth watering delicious and her talent is through the roof. If we have any other special occasions in key west that needs a cake, she will forever be my go to.

Cakes by Karol exceeded my expectations! The cake was the perfect groom’s cake for my son and was absolutely delicious! The details she put into the cake were remarkable! Being that I was from out of town, I was a little concerned. Payment was easy online and she delivered cake to venue - on time, just as she said! We were thrilled with Cakes by Karol. We went to Key West for our friend's birthday and ordered the cake from Cakes by Karol. They were so easy to work with, they accommodated some of our special requests and most importantly the cake was beautifully done and tasted great!

My wedding was 3/9/2018 and my cake was done by Cakes by Karol. I had a two tier cake with buttercream icing, vanilla cake, and key lime filling with fresh flowers on top. The cake was gorgeous! It was exactly what I had hoped for. All the guests thought it was delicious. I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone!

Absolutely beautiful and delicious cake! It turned out exactly how I had envisioned it! The owner is so sweet too and was always very helpful in answering my questions. We ordered a birthday cake weeks prior to arriving for our destination birthday celebration. Karol did an amazing job. We've ordered speciality cakes before and this was hands down the best. Per our request, she used butter cream icing and it was so smooth I thought she made a mistake. I was wrong! Thank you makeing our birthday celebration special.

Our May 1, 2021 wedding cake was completely beautiful and so pretty and tropical looking! Three different flavors and fillings was a huge hit. So glad we chose Cakes by Karol.

My family orders a couple cakes a year every year we come down to key west! When we come it is one of my close friend’s and brother’s birthday! We order cakes by Karol for them they are usually delivered to blue heaven. Karol always makes are cakes delicious and what we asked for! Cakes by Karol is the right choice!!!
