Appalachian Coffee House

The new color and paint works. They have added syrups and flavorings year round. The staff is always knowledgeable about coffee and Chai. They don't do steeped tea well, but that's because they make one great latte. Some baristas make drink flavors stronger than others. They can make some baked goods. They change the baked goods out every 2 days. The bathrooms are individual and clean. You can see the art on the walls, but I'm not sure you can buy it. They are accommodating to the needs of gluten and sugar free. I prefer them over over priced and over roasted Starbucks. Going on like 3 years in business and becoming a staple of the community of mercer street.

Had coffee from there a few times ( brought to me by some friends) but hadn’t gone in until this May. The art inside is beautiful and I honestly didn't know that whole back area was there and the furniture was super nice. I ordered the spring flavor, blackberry lavender, and it’s one of my favorite coffees ever. Perfect balance of sweet and bitter with lovely blueberry undertones, and I got my order quickly +employees were great. Would definitely recommend.

I make a point to shop local every time I am in Princeton. This shop has hours that are convenient for us when we are visiting and I believe we stopped in here every day we were here during the Thanksgiving holiday. This is one of the best iced coffees I have ever had. It was never bitter or stale. My wife tried many of the seasonal drinks and loved them all (Eggnog Latte was her favorite). The prices are reasonable and I was happy to see there were usually many patrons sitting in and enjoying the coffee and local art. Great coffee!

I've been here a handful of times since moving to WV and this place never disappoints. Always clean, very friendly and efficient staff as well as a nice atmosphere. I absolutely love the flavor selections they have, especially the fall ones! On top of that the baked goods are delicious as well.

I happened to be in Princeton for the day yesterday, and was wonderfully surprised with finding the small but delightful Appalachian Coffee House. I had an excellent cup of coffee and a delicious blueberry scone. One of the best treats ever. Highly recommend stopping in sometime. 😃 Friendly, personable staff. Clean environment and comfy ambiance.

The best independent coffeehouse in Princeton that I've experienced. Intimate environment with nice seating arrangement, decent number of outlets, good coffee and espresso (they know the correct ratio of milk to foam in a cappuccino) and reasonably comfortable chairs. The Wi-Fi is a touch on the slow side and the water cups are basically unusable, those are my only complaints. Excellent service and overall excellent experience. Keep it up guys!

The environment is always spectacular and I miss the live music playing (boo COVID-19). I don't really try new things but one of the workers recommended a frozen (hot) chocolate and I have been hooked ever since. I usually get the Almond Joy and my Honey gets a Dirty Chai but I was really struggling one day and decided on something new and boy, she delivered! The whip cream is also the perfect topper.

I’ve visited Appalachian Coffee House several times now, and every time the coffee has been delicious! My husband usually gets a dirty Chai, and I usually get the Mountain Mama, but we’ve tried several different ones from the menu. The baked goodies are by far the best I’ve had in this area-the cinnamon rolls are my favorite, but the beautiful cakes are hard to resist! The staff is always friendly and make great suggestions. Thank you for bringing such a unique experience to downtown Princeton!

So i love this place so very much!! it is a gift n now staple to our downtown and community and i know we are all very thankful for it! I love the girls of the shop as they fit the atmosphere n ambiance perfectly..

The chai is so good and i love the rotating menu of a plethora of drinks. The cakes are AMAZING and BIG slices, so sweet and great that i get a slice and eat a tiny bite every day for weeks to savor every little bit.

The space in the back is so cute and perfect now that its all lit up. i hope we can have more things happen back there in the future. what a nice space to utilize for out community.

I am a Starbucks addict but since they're closed for a couple of days I thought I'd give this place a try. My usual drink at Starbucks is a hot Caramel Macchiato, so I ordered the same from Appalachian Coffeehouse & let me tell ya, it was made perfect & it was delicious. It honestly rivals Starbucks & the service was super quick.

I dont normally sway away from starbucks, but for some reason it was closed. This was the coffee shop closest and me needing my fix made the call to give it a go. Outstanding coffee. I will only being going here while im in town. Great to see a local spot destroying the competition.
