The Butterfly Greenhouse

I take my granddaughter here several times during the open season and we love it. Releasing butterflies, feeding the butterflies, interacting with them. She knows so much about butterflies and loves to tell everyone everything she knows. Lola's children garden is also a big hit. The atmosphere is so peaceful.

The Butterfly Greenhouse at Wilson’s is delightful, peaceful and a wonderful excursion to enjoy. The Children’s garden is whimsical and beautifully planned and arranged… meandering along the creek with hidden delights everywhere! We bought season passes so we can visit as often as we like!!

I never get tired of taking my son here to visit the butterflies, moths and caterpillars in all their stages of life. It is a beautiful and educational experience and I hope it is always valued and respected so that it continues to prosper.

You're staff did not hesitate to stop and chat with us, very knowledge about plants and your butterfly operation! They even helped me sign up for this wonderful contest!

Truly a gift in Kentucky. Monarch Butterflies have been my absolute favorite since a young girl and when I saw there was a Butterfly Greenhouse less than 40 min from my house last summer my family (hubby and our 4 kids) went. It’s spectacular. Truly well kept and so many details the photos don’t do Justice. The staff is so friendly and answers my kids 100 questions not really 100- but they are so patient and helpful! The place now offers a children’s area to play on a tree house and play with play food and even an A frame club house to pretend to cook and hang out! We enjoy the hens and rooster! The plants they sell are so beautiful and expertly kept and cared for! I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates plants and especially butterflies! Definitely an annual trip for us in the summer and again mid September. We love this place! 🦋

I regularly drive from Louisville to Wilson’s in Frankfort. It is such a special spot! The plants are so well grown and cared for, the butterfly greenhouse is a wonderful place to learn about pollinators and visit with them in a beautifully designed habitat. I have purchased perennials, annuals, shrubs and more - the plants are all high quality. Have also attended classes and events here. Definitely one of my happy places!

My family absolutely LOVED The Butterfly Greenhouse and the Lola Children's Garden. We have adventurous little boys and everywhere you turned there was something interactive for them to enjoy! It is beautiful! We ended up buying the family+ pass for the year.

This is absolutely my favorite nursery! The plant/gift selection is amazing, It has beautiful grounds, and it has great prices. The butterfly greenhouse is also a wonderful addition. Took my daughter there and she had a blast!
