Shawn (submarine vet) and Danielle (Nurse Practitioner) in the ER were outstanding on our visit at the Temple ER today. My s.o. almost wasn't going to go to the ER because, like many, hasn't always had great experiences being a patient. He ended up needing a painful procedure done and I'm just amazed at how caring, professional, efficient, and empathetic Danielle and Shawn were. Shawn took his time with the procedure and minimized pain. Danielle also gave us a definitive treatment plan that already seems to be helping a few hours later. I am a civilian PA-C and I know it's tiring seeing patients but all I can say is WOW and thank you guys so much for taking such great care of him.

Parking is rough but other than that, the Emergency room staff is amazing. Most of them really care, they try and get you in and out, every single nurse I have met there is WONDERFUL. Shout out to Michelle and Hayley especially. Doctors are decent, but the nurses are truly the ones that shine there. This VA is worth the drive instead of the Austin Clinic.

My husband is being treat by Dr. James T. Turlington, at the VA Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Dr. Turlington has been helping him for over 8 years! He cares deeply about my husband and treats him professionally, with a kind heart!
Thank you Dr. Turlington for your true supportive heart to our veterans, and my husband!

This has been my first in-patient experience with the VA. Everyone, from registration, to the ER staff, floor CNAs, nurses, OR staff and more were smart, professional and caring. I work in Healthcare on the civilian side, and they surpass many civilian hospitals in a lot of ways. Big shout out to Blandine and Jacob, my primary nurses. They supported me through a lousy week and took excellent care of me. I can't thank you all enough.

I come here often for different things. The ER, Mental Health, etc. Today I came for my yearly mammogram. ( Women please be sure to keep up with your overall health) I was pleased to see the changes and upgrades that are happening with the hospital. Of course, the staff ( mainly veterans I believe) care and treat you and respect. Now there are times that you may come across someone who's having a not so bright day, but that's very far and few in between. I love the piano that plays in the entrance and the prayer room located directly across from it. Have to love the free books that are strategically placed in the opposite hall from the library. The library has computers that are available for use to veterans and their family members. The bathrooms are always clean. The radiology staff are great and they seem to have a caring family vibe that flows amounst them. I just hope whenever they open a VA closer to where I live that the staff are just as nice, caring and friendly as the staff here in Temple.

I have only been here twice so far, but I've been very satisfied. Parking is the only issue I had.

Fantastic experience at the welcome center when transferring from Fort Campbell/BACH/Nashville VA area. Customer service was attentive and never rushed-and I arrived right at 3:30, when they take their last customer. They shut it down at 4pm. We finally finished at almost 5, and I left with a PCM and scheduled labs and two appts all in the same day. One with my PCM and the other with a social worker for my deployments.

Just ensure you make time to go to "enrollment" section. I'm not sure where it is yet. I'll have to go next time. Otherwise, you won't be able to fill out you're travel voucher since it's done on a kiosk here thru your VA ID card. 🤦‍♀

Heroes work here. There are a lot of veterans who need service, and the folks who work here care. Many are veterans themselves. Thank you to the staff and thank you to the veterans!!

This hospital is a magical place!

When you look through your eyes, do you see stars or mud? It makes a difference in your own space; that space we call life.

Emergency Room is clean. The staff is friendly. It is the ER so the wait is long. We spent over 5 hours waiting for a final diagnosis. Ultrasound has 2 hours to respond to a call for service.

I really think that this hospital is convenient and the staff are very helpful when it comes to care, direction and how treated their patients. So far I have seen professionalism in the the building with dignity and respect with their patients. I am so happy that their assistance meets my needs during my visits. Staff teamwork taking care of veterans means so much to me. Emergency staff are second to none when it come to tend to veterans in crisis. I truly appreciates from the bottom of my heart how they handle my sons needs. Thank you for your services.

As the wife of a Disabled Vet, I am often frustrated at the time it takes to get things done by the medical staff. Let me tell you, there is NO better place for the quality of care my husband has recently received. From the Pain Management, Battlefield Accupuncture from NPJason Bradshaw, Counseling, to the ER and the Detox team at the hospital, they have, to-a-person been caring, attentive, kind, understanding, funny, knowledgeable and professional. The Temple, Tx VA may be understaffed, but they work as if they have each patients care uppermost in their minds and hearts. We APPRECIATE our Military and the wonderful folks who care for them daily. God bless them ALL.

Great experience with an outpatient surgery and honestly every experience I’ve had here has been great. One lady in travel got rude but I reported it and she probably won’t be doing that again. Overall everyone is super nice and helpful within the restraints of the feds.

The annex front desk crew is great. The Doctors and nurse staff are excellent. All staff at the Temple VA system are always great, to me. Dr Patel (female Doc) and Nurse Bob Smith, when advising on a found Sarcoma cancer on me, was truly excellent. They have a great bedside manner. I don't look forward to the treatments, but, at least the entire staff are excellent to us veterans.

I have had private insurance most of (6 years Active Duty) my entire life until recently (51 years).
I just was released from the hospital after having surgery today.
I would like to commend the entire staff for their compassion and dedication to duty. I did not encounter anyone who was not compassionate, courteous or unprofessional.
Thank you for a job well done!

Ian ambulance brought my brother in early Sunday morning I was unable to go back with him but the Dr and staff were so incredibly kind. It was freezing in the waiting room and a staff member brought me a. warm blanket to wrap up in while they checked my brother in. After the gentleman at the desk took down emergency contact info. When the Dr spoke with me she was professional and open to questions I had.
The floor staff has been so good to give me information on my brother daily taking time to call me and help my brother make calls to me and my mom.
I can’t say enough about this place and the people who work here. My brothers Dr offered to pick him up a Dr Pepper because the hospital don’t offer his drink of choice now that’s going above and beyond.
Thank you VA Temple Tx
