We had an excellent experience at Dr. Rick's office. His staff is friendly and always quick to get my children in for appointments. He is not a super talkative guy, but who cares? If he can keep my kid's teeth healthy that's all I care about. I never once felt judged or disrespected by anyone in his office. Just like they were doing their jobs. My daughter had major dental issues and he got her in and fixed them all. She is not in pain because of him so as far as I'm concerned, he is a literal life saver. We still go here and will continue to for as long as we are able. Definitely recommend!

I was a little worried about taking my son to Dr. Rick's office after reading the reviews and hearing a few stories. But he was the only pediatric dentist in my area that took our insurance. However, I am so happy I did! His whole staff was great beginning to end. They were informative and caring. I never encountered any that were rude. They fought my insurance to make sure he could have the surgery he needed. Dr. Rick saved all of his teeth after we thought he'd have to lose some for sure. After the surgery, he came in and spoke to us and was very kind and explained things very well. The hospital staff was great too! His office called the next day to make sure everything was going well. We were very satisfied with our choice and are not sure why he has such bad reviews.

Dont understand the bad reviews at all. They made me super skeptical about this dentist before going to him with my children. However, he was the ONLY dentist in town who took our insurance and would do oral surgery on a 3 year old and my daughter REALLY needed help with her teeth.

We tried for years to get answers/help about why she was having so much trouble and couldnt get it. We went to Rockford and Chicago for help, nothing. Dr. Rick and his staff got us in quick and although she needed extensive work, he did it in one go and it took a few months from first appointment to surgery. She was in pain and thanks to Dr. Rick and his staff now she isnt and she has a beautiful smile. Plus, he was able to tell us what was literally wrong with her teeth something NO OTHER dentist was able to do.

It's true that Dr. Rick doesnt do much talking with us or my children, but not once did I feel disrespected, judged or offended by his behavior. He was perfectly polite and patient, helped me understand what was going to happen before and after my daughter's surgery and did the job well. His staff was never anything less than pleasant and helpful. Quick on the phone, friendly and I've never had issues getting appointments.

Would recommend to anyone! Looking forwarding to bringing my older daughter to him as a patient soon, too.

I saw the bad reviews and think I’d better say something here. My experience of having my son coming here is always awesome. Everyone is so nice here and Dr is very professional!

Dr. Rick gave me dirty looks from the hallway. Would not allow me to help my 11 year old grandson who was getting a filling for the first time. The dentist fired him as a patient because he shouldn't need someone to hold his hand! Time for him to retire, not at all kid friendly and rude! He did not get his filling there. I took him to a dentist that showed compassion.

What kind of receptionist is rude to parents and doesn't even acknowledge your 2 year old??Then tells you she tried to call you and your mailbox was full so you better clean it out next time?THEN stops Dad from going back with his baby saying rudely that there is only room for Mom?I had to come sit outside while the girls were back there so I didn't say anything to get in trouble,so I wrote this review.Hopefully the dentist is good to my baby or when they come out,I don't have to go in and say how I really feel to thier faces.IT'S A CHILDS DENTIST OFFICE PEOPLE!!Go work at a prison lady!!👎👎👎

Staff and dentist were very rude! Do not deal well with kids AT ALL. Very unprofessional
