All of you who are complaining should know that they are short staffed. I am on the SNAP program and instead of complaining I have applied for a job with them where I can do remote work.

1st of all, Calling 211 to try & get ANY answers to questions you might have about your case is a Complete WASTE OF TIME! IN MY EXPERIENCE, The Best way to get information about your case, or even to apply, is to go to the office in PERSON, grab an application, fill it out THERE, turn it in, & ask to be able to see somebody the same day. If you are having to Report any Changes, MAKE SURE you have PROOF of your Changes. Don’t wait until you get a bill in the mail. Report your new Acct. Numbers if they have changed, ETC. OTHERWISE you will be at risk of losing your benefits, & having to Reapply all over again, & in the meantime, your medicaid, Snap benefits, health insurance, & Monetary aid will be Stopped, & OMG, Trust me, IT IS A NIGHTMARE!
SO, like I said, This has been MY experience, that I had suffered, SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE, & GO IN PERSON!! Lastly, Take A Mask!! Be prepared so you won’t be turned away.

My Snap benefits was not loaded on my card so I checked online and my account show all my information received and approved a month ago, there was no messages incomplete papers. So why are my benefits not added by the 3rd. I check my mail on the 2nd and there’s a letter from Texas HHS saying I need to send 2documents. Why am I getting this a day before my benefits supposed to be loaded? I know they maybe short staffed but come on now this should’ve been done way before hand. There’s a huge issue with reaching someone by phone. I’ve called 3 different numbers and been on hold on 2 different days for up to 4 hours. I even waited on the phone today from 1:15 until 5:30 to see if someone answer or the call would be disconnected but No it kept playing the same message. Absolutely ridiculous!
Can someone please answer the call after an hour at least!

Ending up being 3 hours and I had to end call, no representatives

Called to check on my case because I reapplied in September of 2023 and still haven't heard any thing been calling to check in for months and nothing today been on hold 1st call hold for 30 min and it hung up on me. Now second call almost an hour like come on this is getting annoying. I have been to the office and kept getting the run around this is pissing me off, do your job don't just have people on hold because you think you can. This place needs to have a serious adjustment and most of them need retraining if you can't handle the public don't so a public job. Come on this is ridiculous 🙄 😒..

Lazy people . Never ever answer the phone . This is the only job you can be absolutely rude to your employer and get away with it . The tax payers are thier employers . Next time you vote , vote to defund this program ! They are still sitting at home on the tax payers dollar because of the flu scare . This is a very broken system !!!!

Rude customer service. I'm new to texas and been trying to reach someone for hours. I tried every number they referred online it was not working. I have serious questions to be answered about benefits and when I tried to call the main office this lady was no help and shut me down smh.

I have been on hold waiting to talk to someone to update a phone number for over 2 and a half hours and no one has answered yet. I don’t want to take all 3 small kids with me to the office and figured I would be on hold for a little bit but this is ridiculous someone please pick up the phone.
