City of Temple Public Library

Wonderful library for our city. I've always had a good experience at the circulation desk. If you have a library card, you can place reserves on your online account so your books will be ready for you with no wait. Love the drop off box outside.
Note- it looks like the handicap accessible ramp is closed for repairs.

Absolutely one of the most amazing libraries I have ever had the prevlidge of visiting. I am a huge tech junky lol and there has never been one electronics store in the past 3 years that had anything I hadn't already seen heard about or used. But this place had multiple device and you could use them. They have all kinds of sections for toddlers, teens, adults, seniors, techs, military, history, science, art and soooooo much more. I really wish I had more time to visit I would have been there until they kicked me out lol. Really it was an honor to be able to visit this place. I see the reviews aren't all 5 stars which should be the case. So I will give a lil advice. There was a gentlemen in the front who had a additude. The greeting is absolutely key to a magnificent place like the temple public library. So hopefully these rating start to change. Anyways It was a pleasure and I cant wait to return.

Always friendly, helpful people. Great programming for adults. While the underground parking is a little freaky, it does keep you out of the rain. A true asset to the whole community.

I adore the staff here! Matt and Steven are always on it with whatever I need and Stephanie is such a sweetheart! I am grateful for their kindness!!!! Love ya'll!

Great place to take your kids for story time, the employees are always so kind and helpful whenever I have any questions.

We love coming here! The library is very nice and very quiet. Probably will start having some book club group here.

Excellent experience. Friendly staff! Air Conditioned (great because the temp. outside was 109 ℉). Purpose of visit was study fine print & fill out a property tax document to later get notorized at BOA, but my pen quit working. Library staff loaned me a pen so I didn't need to take more time leaving the library to buy a pen and return to finish filling the document. Again an excellent experience!

Mrs Alison at the children's desk is a really kind person and so helpful. I appreciate her!!

Really wonderful library for the city - all the librarians are very knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming.Great access to all kinds of books, media, etc, great space to do work/study in and a lot of wonderful digital access as well! GET A LIBRARY CARD! It's the best.

Tonight I was paired with 4 awesome ladies to play the first Pirate Escape Room. We had such a good time & solved the game with 14 minutes to spare. We had such a good time & can’t wait to do it again! I love that you have so many options for adults as well as for children. This is the best library I’ve ever been a member of.

Yalonda Rios is the best she is so sweet very helpful Everytime I go into the library. I feel she goes above n beyond.

This library is very big. The staff is always so nice and friendly. From small kids to adults have a wide variety of books to check out. They have computers for adults and kids which I really like. They actually care about the community and do what they can to help with people in the area.

I am so grateful for the Library and all the hard workers that make it such a wonderful resource for the community. I moved here a couple of years ago and the library has helped me and my family tremendously. The website is also full of so many resources for all ages, it really is the best part of Temple.

I love the people here! I studied for my boards here for like a month straight and they always accommodated me to some kind of quiet room. Even if the study rooms were booked up. Love it!

A truly great group of people, story time is awesome and the kids area is great. Yes homeless people are in and around the area but I use it as a teaching moment for my children: compassion and prayer for others is the lesson. I teach about stranger danger no matter where we might be.

We were visiting Temple for genealogical research and went to the library to use the microfiche reader to search the old newspapers for obituaries. We were instructed to go to the 2nd floor research desk and ask for help. This we did and a very nice helpful two ladies were managing the desk. They got us started and truly didn’t seem to mind our questions. We were there for a couple of hours, found what we were looking for and then checked out the research room, which was quite large and well-ordered. All and all a very nice library and one of the best of the many small town libraries we have visited.

We love this library! Selection is extensive - we always find what we want. Every member of staff we've dealt with has been wonderful. But I do wish that they had a method of self-checkout. How about some more funding for this great library?
