Great experience! First time in a helicopter and first time hog hunting—couldn’t be happier with the operation at Last Shadow. Very professional, prepared, and friendly. They work hard to make sure have a once in a lifetime experience. But after this trip, it may have to be at least twice in a lifetime. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with these guys again.

I have been on several hunts before but this blew them all out of the water. The entire staff is amazing, the weapons are top tier, the ride is entertaining, and the views are breathtaking. We only saw a few hogs on our trip because of the heat but we are going to go back during the winter. I hope they start offering a frequent flier program.

Last Shadow is an extremely professional outfit and one heck of an amazing experience! I’ve gone up with them a handful of times and it never disappoints! Richard is an outstanding pilot and really makes it a memorable event every time we fly! He gets on the pigs and stays on them till the job is done! Heli hog hunting is a top notch bucket list item, so it just makes sense to do it with a top notch outfit! 5 stars all the way!

Booked a hunt for my better half and three of their friends as an anniversary present. Not only was this the only place I found that could take all four people to hunt at the same time, Last Shadow had the most "down-to-earth" customer service when helping me book and schedule. They were extremely cordial and certainly did not have that typical "gun store service" vibe that I usually get when shopping for gifts for my husband. So, searching and booking complete -the day finally arrived for their hunt: from the stories and videos shown, my husband's little clan had a blast! I've never seen full grown men so giddy. My husband and his friends have all since individually re-booked separate hunts with Last Shadow and we'll definitely need to save up for the coming years now. My husband and sons went on a 2 -our helicopter hog hunt with Last Shadow - Richard as the pilot with Ashley helping. All had a great time. They chased down hogs through farm fields and along creeks, and successfully took out at least a dozen of these invasive species. "We want to go back next year!" "That was awesome!"

Absolutely amazing experience! These guys outfit you with the very best equipment and Richard the pilot is amazing and knows how to get you the perfects shots on hogs. We had a great hunting experience with the Last Shadow Team. We met at their hangar at the Temple airport where we had a safety and weapons briefing, which was beneficial getting firearm and aircraft knowledge before the hunt. Richard the pilot was very friendly and we appreciated having a safety officer on board to help with guns and reloads. We shot around 13 pigs and even got 2 coyotes. Nothing says Texas like flying over a city with a suppressed gun in your lap. We will book again next year for longer than the 2 hour hunt

Had an amazing time with the crew at Last Shadow. We had to cancel our first flight with them due to weather and they did everything to make it right. The crew were absolute professionals and made the experience incredibly memorable. We will be back again.

Also couldn't ask for a better pilot, Richard put us right on the hogs and with the high quality guns and scopes they provide we were all able to have a fun and successful hunt. From start to finish Last Shadow was the complete package. They cover everything from safety, simulated hunt prep and what to expect. The actual trip I took was 2 hours which covered a brief practice warm up which really helped to feel comfortable. Next we were shown actual damage caused by the hogs to farm land and crops. This is more than just hunting, we are doing the farmers a favor by reducing the population of hogs. The pilot is very experienced, very likable, easy to work with and flat out made the experience way over the top of what I had been expecting. Ammo was provided and assist was always there so I was always loaded. I drove an extra 90 minutes over others offering similar packages and it was the best decision I made. This was going to be a one time thing but I can't wait to go back!

Hands down the best helicopter hog hunting in TX. I would highly recommend Barrett and his crew to anyone looking for the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Their pilot, Richard, made us feel safe and was entertaining the entire trip. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime experience, this is the place to go.

Amazing experience!!

On of the top most exciting and fun things I have ever done! Barrett was and excellent pilot and communicator as we went through our excursion.

We were able to get 20 hogs, see amazing views, and a received thorough overview of the impact of feral hogs on the Texas farming community.

The AR-15's with red dot scopes were of high quality and easy to get on target. Instructions from the safety officer were great but not annoying and they were a great outfitter to join on a hunt. Barrett's flying skills are top of the line, getting us right above the tree lines and kept the aircraft completely steady while actually persuing targets.

We will be going back - and we will be bringing our friends.

Unlike the review from John Smith here on Google, we had a 100% perfect experience. John Smith actually had a issue with Gunn&Hook; not Last Shadow.

The Last Shadow team was very informative about the entire process. I had never flown in a helicopter nor shot out of one before and they gave excellent pre-flight training making it a very comfortable and insane experience! Probably one of the most badass things I’ve done so far and I would highly recommend Last Shadow, It’s worth every penny and I will definitely be back!

How do I describe my experience.....um Totally awesome!!!!!!
We just got back from a combo hunt package that was booked through Finz and featherz outfitters to hunt with Last shadow. We did one night of bowfishing one night of night hog hunting and heli hunting during the daytime. The bow fishing was a great time and we shot a bunch of fish even with us shooting pretty bad and the boat and bows were awesome!
The night vision/thermal image for the night time hog hunting was top notch and the had absolutely mind blowing equipment to make you feel like a navy seal hunting talaban hogs for a night, got us on tons of pigs and we took out the enemy oinkers! Last but not least we went out for the heli hog hunt. Hands down the most bad a$$ experience ever!!! Barrett got us outfitted with extremely high quality AR 15's outfitted with hollow sights and suppressors and gave us a safety course and after that Richard who was the pilot took us up for the hunting experience of a lifetime and because of his amazing flying skills we were able to shoot a bunch of those farm destroying pork maggots! I was even able to fulfill my goal to be the first to ever kill a hog with an airgun from a helicopter!!!
