I don't understand the 2.6 rating. I had a great experience filing my homestead exemption. Monica assisted me with filing my paperwork. She was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. You get what you give in most cases. If you have a bad attitude and give ZERO respect to someone, they don't have to sit there and turn their cheeks. Be nice and respectful, and I'm sure you will get the same in return.

I would like to thank Ms. Monica Hamrick for her wonderful customer service. She helped me complete the requirements for my church's exemption. She was polite, efficient, and communicated well. She called and emailed when she said she would. Thank you Monica!

Their website needs better online/email communication options.

I think they do more nothing than they do work. I was there for 30 minutes and they helped 3 people between two of them. They would help someone and leave their desk and keep alternating. Lazy..

The Temple Tax Office—forget it!! Just go to Belton CAD because everything you try to file in Temple will be rejected!!! & you have to come in over & over & over again. Terrible customer service. Lisa requires copies of documents that are not mentioned in the instructions, such as marriage license, deed, drivers license…. Seems her job is to reject forms repeatedly until the taxpaying citizen just gives up on getting a homestead exemption. She finds her reasons for rejection one visit at a time, causing multiple trips. Frustrating, inconvenient & costly to county & having to take off work to keep going back.

I just left the city of Temple Tax office. Monica Hamrick is rude and unprofessional. The day I went in and picked up my application I heard her complaining about going to lunch late while a young lady from the Belton location searched for the application I needed. When I went in today she was curt: are you applying for a homestead? You didn’t fill it out, you didn’t enter the day you purchased the home or moved in. (Things I can do right there) Then she tossed my application on the counter after informing me the form must be dated recently. She’s a real winner

came in months and months back to file an exemption form, the lady at the counter said she had never seen the form and rejected it at the counter and handed it back to me.. I have now spoke with the Tax appraisal in Austin, Dallas, Huston and San Antonio and they all interpret the form the same way as I did. Would I have qualified for the exemption, We will never know but the one thing I can confirm thru law firms and other Appraisal Districts is that it is not up to the lady at the counter (who has never seen the form) to make that decision.
