From the very moment I walked in, I was welcomed warmly, the staff was super friendly and ensured me that my shellfish allergy was not an issue and would take special care.
The food was really awesome, exceeded my expectations, GET THE SALMON!!!! ❤❤❤❤

My family and I have been going to Roy’s La Mexicana since it was a fast food restaurant on the corner. Now it’s been years at this new location. Service is EXCELLENT, the food is ALWAYS perfect. I recommend La Mexicana (and the new La Casita for Central American food). But you must have the shrimp fajita salad at La Mexicana!

Dine in here with my family yesterday and they love this restaurant, and also in Gaithersburg area. We had a good time and food is delicious..

Love the chips and salsa, the best in town. You can even buy the salsa to go in a pint or quart size container. The kitchen is quick and the service both friendly and prompt.

La Mexicana… A place where the bartender remembers your name after being told only once, in a sea of loud voices, energetic music, and thirsty patrons. Not only is the entire staff professional, friendly, and respectful, the food is cooked to near perfection, and the drinks are served with generous amounts of alcohol. No watered down, or over iced drinks here.
When it comes to customer service, and that kind of “welcome home” type feeling, I challenge you to find a more inviting, friendly, and memorable bar/restaurant than La Mexicana.
They are professional and friendly, even when extremely busy.
Strives to satisfy customer needs / wants. Fixes problems as necessary.
Inspects food and drinks before serving.
Respectful, courteous, and trusting.
Health and safety compliant. Some staff wears masks, but all wash hands often.
Costumer safety is exceptional.
I left the bar for 15-20 minutes with an exposed drink on the bar, came back to a napkin over my drink.. now that’s looking out for your customer.
This place is a true diamond in the rough… a rare and spectacular sight, an example of what most people in the service industry should strive for.

This small, hole in the wall bar is an absolute wonder, with exceptional customer service, dark, somber, and yet somehow inviting and friendly atmosphere.
One of the best, underrated bars in the entire MD area.

Love this place! Whenever we are in Germantown its a must-stop for great vibes and even better Mexican food. There's always a crowd at the bar, and Tracy takes fantastic care of every customer. Highly recommend!

I have many wonderful things to say about La Mexicana, but you have such an amazing bartender named Alexis she provides excellent service that is above & beyond. I would love it if management would recognize her for excellent service

The atmosphere is inviting . The bartender takes great care of you !! The food is awesome and the prices are perfect!!! If you are in the Germantown area give this place a try you are going to like it !!

They catered our wedding on 9/15 and the owner could not have been more kind and gracious. He even helped load the food and gave us a free dessert on the house, which I thought to be the sweetest thing ever. My guest loved the food and were continuously asking for the recipes and/or location of where we got the food from.

I’m a Pescatarian, and I found this place randomly. I just so happen to love margaritas and tequila, so perfect match. Tracy was the bartender working and she was super cool, made some great recommendations and is a real OG. This place is a hidden gem, but Tracy is the best part, next time I’m in town, I’m definitely coming back to see her!! The food was really nice and Alexis M was the best who served us and since we went with our 1 year old baby she took special care of us and also she was very nice and knew exactly what we wanted.

Best burrito ever! Salmon with rice, black beans, lettuce and tomato cooked to perfection. Just melrs in your mouth and very filling. Highly recommend!

If you like good affordable food this is your place. Drinks are always good and it's the best happy hour spot in Germantown. If you like a little night life withhout the club experience this is the place to hangout. Security is always on point. It's like a modern day "Cheers" Cool spot to relax and chill.

I recently visited La Mexicana with my husband. We sat at the bar, had a few drinks and ordered food. The bartender ( I believe her name was Theresa ) was very sweet and efficient. She took the time to ask how our day was and it did stop there. After asking for a menu she informed us of thier most popular dishes. She was right because the meal I chose was the Best Mexican I have had in a long time. I found a new environment that I enjoy and will continue to come back.

I loved this bar and restaurant with the hot salsa to start and the happy hour margaritas that are so darn good! The food was delicious, whether you get a la carte or a combo meal, it is a great spot to enjoy amazing food served with a smile!

Wonderful! We really enjoyed sitting on the terrace eating dinner. Our server Betty was Awesome! The food was delicious! Will definitely be back!

Thier food is really good. I would go back here in a heart beat. Their papusas are so good. And their prices are not at all out of this world, their really reasonable as well. I love this place a Brother recommended this place to me and I will never forget this place such a warm place to eat and their prices I will pay in a heart beat.
