Tamarack Inn Restaurant

Absolutely delicious breakfast spot. We had the biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and the #5 with sausage. Everything was cooked to perfection...super crispy hash browns, juicy sausage, creamy gravy, and excellent service. They can get a bit busy so just be patient, they do a top notch job and don't compromise on quality. I would definitely visit again.

Brisket is good fries were perfectly crunchy. Sweet waitress and great service.

We stopped here for lunch after others in our group went earlier for breakfast and raved about it.
We didn't realize they close between 11am-12pm to get ready for lunch and the day we went they were running behind and let us know it would be a bit longer... turns out the fish was just caught and they still had to prep it.
It was worth the wait - the food was delicious. We had the freshest whitefish fish & chips ever and an amazing brisket sandwich. It may not be fancy looking, but it was delicious!!!

Nice spot for lunch. We visited for the first time in 2023 and enjoyed the broasted chicken. We returned in 2024 but the chicken is no longer on the menu. Broasted whitefish is excellent, and the brisket is heavenly. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Get the broasted chicken or whitefish! I couldn't believe how good they both were...and not dripping in grease/oil like some other places. We ate at a neighboring restaurant a couple days prior, which was honestly pretty awful, so we didn't have high hopes when trying Tamarack Inn but we were proven wrong! I would highly recommend.

Fantastic meal. When you walk in, the air smells of delicious bacon and smoked meat. Was a nice stop for lunch on our way to copper harbor.

This was a cute little place we happened upon. Only one waitress working and she was wonderful even though busy. Everything was delicious and service was great. Friendly and warm.

Very good food. They smoke brisket and pork on sight. We just got coffee but smelled it across town and had to stop. Recommend the Better than Bacon Brisket Burger.

Had a pretty good omelet here while camping with family. Located right in the middle of everything in copper harbor, and within an easy walk from most downtown attractions.

Certainly an unassuming appearance from the outside, but the food was tremendous. I had the brisket and my wife had the chicken. It's a mom and pop outfit with mama doing the service and papa doing the cooking, so plan for a little extra time....but well worth it!!

We stopped here for breakfast on the way to the beach. Nice little diner style food and a small lunch menu. Coffee was surprisingly good.

Loved it. Had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches.

The special of the day was a burger topped with brisket. Absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful area to.

Visited 9/10/23. My wife and I had the Pulled Pork sandwich, onion rings, and coleslaw. Everything was great. The sandwich was served on a grilled thick sliced (but not too thick) bread and the pork was moist and had a good smoky flavor with sauce on the side. The coleslaw was good, my wife normally doesn't care for slaw and she liked this coleslaw. Onion rings had a good breading and were fried nice and crispy but not overdone. We were greeted promptly and the server was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Made for a nice accent of our trip to the area. Will eat there again on our next visit.

Breakfast was good. Prices reasonable, good quality and quantity. Good service. Clean.

The Tamarack Burger is delicious. It gets harder and harder to find places that use real ingredients but i'm glad there are still some places like this that do.

What an little gem. I will say the decor is very old school. It was like stepping into my great grandmother's house. I really felt at home. It was definitely nostalgic to the max. But damn was the food top notch. :) I was so happy with the BBQ. Also our waitress was such a sweetheart! She had the biggest smile, and I really enjoyed being served by her. I know she said her name but I cannot remember it. She was tall and maybe 20s? I'm terrible at guessing ages. They don't have alcoholic beverages and it would have been nice to have a drink but it wasn't needed. Their meat is just to die for

Where should you go on a cold, rainy morning while camping? This place was highly recommended by locals and now we know why! We were IMMEDIATELY served hot coffee and the server was engaging and very helpful in assisting us making plans for our visit despite the rain. We were very appreciative of their kindness and advice.
