Just stopped in for lunch as we found out it was under new ownership. Todd (new owner) was quick to seat us and introduce himself and that goes a long way with customers. I ordered the special of the day
An Italian beef sandwich with cheese and veggies. Very good. My wife had the Smash burger with sweet potato fries and she said it was excellent. Waitress Jennifer was attentive and pleasant. Definitely a notch above ordinary bar food. We will definitely be back.

Tonight was trivia night and the place was packed. An awesome night with friends, good food and Kara, the waitress was super sweet, even on her birthday and with so many to serve. I highly recommend Smuggler's Den even though there were no gators!

The people here are so friendly and the food is amazing. I LOVE the sweet potato fries, but have yet to try something I don’t like. Todd is the best, and treats everyone like family. Kara does an amazing job making everyone feel at home! The chefs are truly chefs!

Todd the owner is very attentive and Kara was a great server tonight. The smash burger is so good and the onion rings are great. This may be the best burger on The Strand! This is definitely our go to place. Five Stars Plus!!

The new menu is awesome! The owner, Todd, is even better! Such a nice guy. I went in last night with some friends. Scraped my knee outside and Todd wasted no time getting me some bandaids and fixing me up! Thank you Todd:) Really awesome bartender as well. She was super nice and personable. Definitely go check it out if you haven’t been yet!

Stopped in today for the first time. The place is a great local spot. It was very clean, with a great atmosphere. The bartender, I believe Jody was her name- she was excellent! The new owner introduced himself, and made us feel right at home! The food was excellent. We highly recommend this place & will be making it one of our go to places to hangout.

Had such a good time at the Smugglers Den! Nice atmosphere and clientele. Food was very good with generous portions. Our server Izzy took very good care of us. We ended up stayed after dinner to play Jukebox Bingo, it was a blast. Will definitely be going back. Was nice to meet one of the owners, Todd, very personable and nice young man.

The service was excellent here. Our waitress was a sweetheart. I had debated about how to have my prime. Rib. Rare or medium rare. I had it medium rare couple of weeks ago different place and it was not good. It came out and I thought oh no it is done to much and then I tasted. It was delicious. I can't wait to bring some friends. The wings we had were delicious too. My son had hamburger and he stated it was delicious. Todd we will be back.

Local. Decided to check out the place under the new owner. Food was very good. Atmosphere was always a good pub vibe. Kimberly was our server and did a great job. Our glasses were never empty. Met the new owner. He's enthusiastic about making the place a go-to on the Grand Strand. Has plans for various events and live bands. Good food selection with a variety that will suit everyone. I had the Philly cheese steak. A nice SC twist on this classic. Will definitely be returning.

Smuggler’s Den hosted my daughter’s graduation party because it’s a place we go often as a family- they far exceeded our expectations! The food was amazing, kept fresh for the entire duration of the (long) party and everyone raved about it! The staff was amazing! We can’t say enough about what an excellent experience this was!

Had 2 tacos today chicken and rib eye. They were delicious, a side of waffle fries, seasoned perfectly, completed my lunch! Kimberly was a wonderful hostess, great conversation, very friendly. I'll be back for the Pastrami Rueben. Give this new owner a try, the menu on this review is from the old owners menu.

We love this place! Justin, the bartender was awesome, made great drinks and gave us great company. Love that there is pool, darts and games. Karaoke night is also a major plus and we can’t wait to go for Taco Tuesday and Jukebox Bingo!

Just stopped in for the first time for a brew and a bite. It's under new ownership as of late February. New owner, Todd is friendly and welcoming. He's handsome too!🤩 Great food, cold beer and cozy atmosphere. Current menu posted. He will have weekly specials. The pretzel parlay is practically a meal for two. Sorry I didn't take a picture before we devoured it. Stop in! You won't regret it!

I ran up on The Smuggler’s Den last night and was not disappointed. The service was great, the atmosphere is awesome, and the beer was cold. They have pool tables and dart boards as well. I definitely plan to go back for Trivia on Wednesday!

Went to Suggler’s Den Saturday evening (6/22/24) with friends and had a great time!! Food was great (I had their smash burger, it was delicious & the meal came out hot!) The server (Karol) was friendly & knowledgeable about their food & drinks! AND there had live music by Nashville Recording Artist Katelyn Christine, she was awesome! Definitely have to check her music out!!! @KatelynChristinemusic

Had two hazy little things, very cold. Kimberly was a very attentive bartender and was knowledgeable about the menu. We had street corn dip, the pretzel with beer cheese (best part), chicken tenders and a quesadilla. Atmosphere was great, would love to come back during trivia and participate.

New owner in the last few weeks. We’re locals and love to check out what’s going on. The new owner is awesome and revitalizing this historic place. Def check them out!

Smuggler's Den is under new ownership and it has a huge heart behind it. I am very happy for Todd and Charlie (Socastee Brave!) and the entire staff. Their ranch is delicious. Warm Mexican Street corn dip is rich and delicious and their recipe.

Their menu is clean and precise. Everything they graciously let me try was on point. Their goal is to do everything right, and not go beyond their limits but there is creativity in there!

Also they have a three legged cat, outside. Sooty, I believe? Mr. Soot. I’ll have to ask Cheryl.

It was an English Pub over 20 years ago. So expect that interior and vibe but not restricted to being English or Irish. Very clean. It’s beautiful. Glad the torch keeps going!

This place is great! The smash burger is one of the best I ever had and Kara, who waited on us, was amazing!!!

I was craving a smoked old fashioned and wasn't disappointed. Our bartender was fantastic and the live music was great.
