1914 Coffee House

Amazing little local place! Didn't get a chance to try the lemon/blueberry muffin since it was sold out but the cranberry/orange one was really good! I also tried the ham/cheese egg bite and chai tea latte and they were also delicious!
I did get a chocolate chip cookie to go based on reviews and OMG BEST DECISION! They look fluffy and light but they are QUITE substantial, highly recommend!!

We spotted 1914 coffee house online but decided to stop in after it was recommended to us by a friend of the owner. I absolutely love the story behind the name (the year the home was built, but also their favorite bible verse psalm 19:14), and decided to get their “the 1914” for my drink of choice. It tasted like a snickerdoodle, and it was a great cold brew mix. My husband and I both decided to get some pastries after finding out they also had gluten free cookies as well… the peanut butter cookie (GF) was so good I could’ve cried after not having truly good baked goods since developing my gluten intolerance. My husband also agreed it was one of the best he’s ever had. We highly recommend all of our menu choices, and they even have a playground area for kiddos. We’ll be back!

Cute little coffee shop. They have comfortable sitting areas and many nooks to find a spot to work or study. I’m passing through town but I would definitely stop here again when I’m in the area.

The coffee is good, their Cruffins are tasty! The inside seating is so cozy and comfortable. It’s a perfect place to read a book! The patio seating and play ground are super cute, too! When the weather is good, parents can bring their kids here for a nice coffee break!

I’ve been recently going to 1914 weekly to catch up with a friend. The service is amazing. The baristas are always so kind and patient. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. And the coffee and food are always consistently delicious. Love this little coffee shop.

First off the staff is so welcoming and kind. The Cruffins are so delicious that I have tried all the flavors. My favorites are the feta and spinach for a savory Cruffin and the strawberry Jam for my sweet tooth. You can have best of both worlds in one day!! The vibe is so great for a business meeting or hanging out with friends. Such a great place!!

Delightful coffee shop in a renovated home. There was plenty of parking, though it was busy. A wheelchair provides access directly from the parking lot. A grassy area with a playground sits in the back with a view from the deck for easy supervision. Multiple rooms and a front porch with a variety of furniture provide comfortable seating. Free wifi. The humungous chocolate chip cookie was dense but soft, big enough to share between two or three people, although you will want to eat it all. The cheesecake tastes homeade--definitely some of the best around. The matcha is a little sweet, but frothy and heartening. Welcoming atmosphere. Will come again!

Great little coffee house. But don't be fooled!! They are more than just coffee ☕ ❤ They are known for their amazing lotus 🪷 tea drinks as well. And let's not overlook the cronuts!! Where else can you get one of these delicious decadent bites? The atmosphere is charming and inviting. It's really a great size place and has plenty of cozy corners for afternoon chats, morning meetings, or some "me" time. If you have a well-behaved pet, they are welcome outside in the back. And if you happen to have some restless kiddos, you can bring them to the playground out back while you sip your beverage of choice. Definitely not just another coffee shop! Service was great as well!

I've been wanting to try some of the coffee shops in Temple, and based on the reviews and recommendations of cruffins, I chose to start here. I glad I did.

For 11 am on a Saturday, it was not too busy. The staff was friendly and efficient. They brought my order right to me.

The atmosphere was very nice. There is a choice of table and chairs, or couches and cushioned chairs inside. There is also outdoor seating and a small playground.

I ordered a spinach feta cruffin and dark chocolate mocha. Both were excellent!

I plan to come back to try more flavors of cruffins as well as some of their other drinks.

I highly recommend it!

Absolutely love this place! I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago, and I’m officially obsessed. It’s easily one of my top 3 favorite coffees, and their chocolate chip cookie definitely ranks number one for me. I usually order an iced caramel latte with oat milk, and whatever sorcery they’re using, it’s downright magical. Today, I tried their spinach feta cruffin (croissant muffin), and it was the definition of perfection. The staff is always friendly, quick, and efficient. They’ve definitely won me over as a lifelong customer!

This place is busy but not crowded, which was nice. There are lots of places to sit inside and outside. The coffee was pretty good, but please try their Carrot Cake!! It's one of the best I've ever had 🤤

An absolutely lovely experience. The staff is so friendly. Not only do they personally bring you your order wherever you are in the house they also will come check on you, take your dishes, ask how you’re doing etc. They have all been so friendly even when they’re busy. The menu is awesome! I have only tried the 1914 Iced coffee so far (because it’s so good why would I get something else) and I LOVE their chocolate chip cookies (which they’ll even warm up for you).
The atmosphere is so cozy. There’s a plethora of seating options for quite studying, meetings with friends or for work, reading a book, etc.
it’s a great place to stay connected with community in a positive faith-filled environment.

We loved this new place! It is SO cute and clean. Great yard area for kids to run around in. Everyone was so nice and the food and drinks came out quickly. Everything we had was delicious, but we especially went nuts over the spinach feta cruffin. That was wildly tasty, we ended up ordering two more after our first.

We just arrived in town and while we didn’t have a coffee maker, my husband was going there every morning to get us coffee.
Today I decided to go and try different coffees as they have specials for Valentine’s Day.
Lovely staff and yes, great coffee!!
Also, the homemade cookie was a BOMB of deliciousness!!

This is a great coffee shop! The staff is wonderful, the seating is perfectly arranged for various needs and groups, and very nice atmosphere. I had the Café' Americano each stop, and the cruffins were amazing! It is convenient to Baylor Scott & White, but frankly is central to many areas... perfecto!

Fantastic experience! An original farm house built in 1914 and redone into an up to date coffee house lacking nothing! Great coffees! Service, treats snd savory! Love it! The outside and inside make you feel welcome at home.

The baristas and the owner were so accommodating and nice! I ordered a somewhat unusual drink, and was blown away by the quality and effort. The espresso was soooo smooth and flavorful. They had lots of seating, and even 3 different areas, perfect for finding a quiet space. There was obviously lots of thought put into the layout and decor, and the place looks cozy and fun.

We love this place. The staff are SUPER helpful and answer any questions you have. Their Lotus drinks are unique and delicious. The Sweet Cream cold brew (pictured) is amazing.
Their Cruffins are quite tatsy and so is the shortbread.

Do yourself a favor and come check them out!

I was in temple, working on a business trip and found this wonderful little coffee shop. The cheesecake was absolutely divine and the brown sugar latte was amazing!! The atmosphere is calming and very quiet.

A lot of business peeps were there so it was a bit crowded. So to sit and relax at 11am was a distraction. Other than that the muffin and Chai cold tea was very good.
