Delicious food that exceeds the price point generous portions we're huge chunks of cod on fish and chips plate what general portions of deliciously seasoned fries! They turned the mushroom burger into a chicken burger for me at my request. I highly recommend this place for delicious Grub and delicious craft brews if you're in Temple!

Got a new Temple favorite! As my normal readers know, I’m not going to miss out on the chance to try out a burger and hand cut fries. I was not disappointed.
The Wildcat burger was amazing! Split one with my wife. Wonderful, mouth-watering flavor, and the slaw was a different, but nice addition.
The included hand-cut fries won me over at first bite. I would say that I could make a meal out of them, by themselves. But, in a way, I did, but smothered in chili and cheese.
The chili-cheese fries were different than any I’d ever had, and I’d be hard-pressed to remember any I’d enjoyed more. And, it’s way bigger an order than the picture shows.
Then there were the fried cheese curds(my wife’s idea). I thought she’d blew a gasket. When it was all said and done, we almost had a “fist to cuff” over the last one.
As much as I hate to admit it, she’s pretty good about picking out of the ordinary dishes. But hey! I’m pretty good, too! I did pick the spot….

First time here and we were lucky enough to arrive just as the live music started. The food was top notch - we ordered the bulgogi burger and the shroomer. Both were 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10. The band that was playing that night (Robert Parker Jr.) 10/10!!! Their music was right up our alley, and they definitely gained some new fans. It was a great night with great food, great beers, and great music. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Got the Southwestern Burger (added jalapenos) and fries and the Fried Pickles for an appetizer. Everything was perfect! Asked for med. rare on the burger and they nailed it! I was only in Temple for a few days on a work trip, but I would definitely go back if I had the chance!

Great brewery, beers are great, back patio is amazing, and the food is delicious. I've been there several times now, and each time, they either have a band playing music, music bingo trivia or something. Kids and pups friendly! As long as I live in central Texas this place will be one of my frequents.

OK, tried out their new location tonight for dinner. The new place is awesome and has lots of room. it is welcoming and friendly. I don't really like the ordering system though. When you come in you go to a screen and order your food and grab a pager and they bring your food out when ready. I didn't like it but it worked. It worked pretty well. I went to the bar to get a beer and their selection is awesome! the bar tender let me try a couple of samples before I settled on my favorite. I liked them all and had trouble deciding so I will come back just to try others. It didn't take long to get our food: the fried pickles were tasty, I loved the fish I ordered, but the fries were heavily salted and almost inedible. Wife had a burger and although she liked it, she said the burgers at the old place were better. The menu is new, so don't expect your old favorites. I was in the mood for a Temple Hot but it didn't make the cut to the new place. I will have to return to give my opinions on the new menu, but return I will, I really think that they are on to something here. The old place was a great burger joint. The new place is a great place to gather with friends, enjoy a beer, and have a bite. Even with my reservations, I am giving them 5 stars and highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this place! While they don't have a big menu, the food they do have is really delicious. The Chili Cheese fries were 🔥🔥🔥!! I was sad they weren't doing beer flights when we were there, but I definitely like their beers. I want to go back and get a flight so I can try more!!

Great local joint. Good food. Love music was a lot of fun. Side salad option with the burgers was surprisingly good. Only one problem. Pepsi? This is America.... 😂. Coke please.

Great place for a beer and bites!! Perfect for a night out with friends or a date night! Wide open, bright, spacious! Great covered patio! Small selection of board games on hand. Stage area for events! Good craft beer! Some wines available. Good food selection!

We've been twice. Burgers and fries the first visit and Fish-n-Chips the second. Food is great. Every beer sampled is perfect. Staff is lovely. The classic fries are best. The Truffle fries have Truffle cheese but need salt. We will return whenever in Temple.

New place. We enjoyed lunch on Saturday. The inside is spacious, really nice and clean with plenty of seating on both sides.
You order at the kiosk and receive the buzzer thing, alcohol beverage can be purchased at the bar in the middle.
All of the food was hot, seasoned well, and absolutely delicious.
We had no trouble parking, but there is construction going on next to their bldg; it didn’t take away from our experience.
Happy to have another great restaurant in downtown!

Solid menu full of options for everybody, chill environment. Recommend: chili cheeseburger, pretzel with beer cheese, garlic parm fries, cheese curds, and the creek dawgz. Try a Gorilla Mama from the bar! 👍

The food was really, really good I would have liked a bit more mushrooms on my mushroom burger but I'm greedy. So all in all the garlic aioli and goat cheese are a game changer. This burger is absolutely delicious. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich added teriyaki sauce & jalapeno and was very happy with it, so much so I didn't even have a chance to get a picture. Maybe next time.

Nice selection of very good beers. The food is putstsndung I rated the service a little lower because you order yourself from a touchscreen but the staff was very friendly and food was out pretty quick. Great live music and energetic atmosphere.

The newly opened Bird Creek Brewing Restaurant in downtown Temple, Texas, is quickly becoming a culinary hotspot, famed especially for its delicious shrimp and grits dish. Situated in the heart of the city, this establishment merges a vibrant atmosphere with exceptional dining, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers. However, my recent visit during the bustling first Friday monthly event led to a two-hour wait, a testament to the restaurant's popularity and the community's enthusiasm for such gatherings. For those eager to indulge in the flavors of Bird Creek without the lengthy wait, I highly recommend arriving early to secure a seat. The experience is well worth the planning, as the restaurant offers not just mouth-watering dishes but also a unique blend of culture and camaraderie that defines downtown Temple.

UPDATE 6.3.24 They relocated to a larger venue and I'm really impressed with the upgrades. The metal, wood and cement design fit the improved atmosphere of this restaurant.

As a brewery they've expanded indoor seating, added an entire bar counter, lots of extra outdoor patio seating, and live music.

I love how there's a roll up window in the bar area so customers can order drinks as well from the outdoor patio. An interesting feature in their patio area is they have these attached swivel seats with "arms".

We've always enjoyed their food. It's what I'd call "a good fix". Take a look at some pictures for an appetizing feast with your eyes. Food is ordered through kiosks at the entrance. Good idea, and this method trending in many restaurants.

I wish I had the opp to hangout once more to try their beers on tap. While I can't cease that moment, this place will surely be on my list if I ever return to TX. Great job guys on the comeback!

Cool food and always courteous service!

I absolutely loved the bird creek burger company. We went there for lunch and just intrigued by the name stopped there. We ordered fried green tomatoes for appetizer and for main we ordered a vegetarian sandwich for myself and my husband ordered a Baja skillet with grilled chicken. It was so delicious. We were so happy stopping there. I just think we would be going there a lot more often. Service was really friendly and their restaurant has a good vibe.

This was my first time at the NEW location and I was VERY happy. The South (something) burger was so juicy...from the first to the last bite. The atmosphere is AWESOME! I appreciate the kind service and opportunity to let the Manger know that she has the BEST KITCHEN STAFF in Temple.

Incredible food. We had the southwest burger. Cooked to perfection as requested, topped with yummy guacamole, tomato, lettuce, etc. The second best burger I've ever eaten. The fries were good, but nothing special. Their fried green tomatoes are great. The only downside is that it's pricy. Yet, I'll gladly visit again. It's definitely worth it. Its a lot of food, so go hungry.
They offer a lot of other items, I haven't tried any of them. However, if they are any near a good as the burger, they'll be great.
Birdcreek is now a brewery, but I don't drink alcohol, so I can't comment on the brew. But others seem to think it's great.
