First visit to this wonderful shop. They have everything you could possibly need for weaving and spinning plus rug hooking and punch needle supplies and kits.
From the grand floor looms to tiny hand held looms for kids they have something for everyone to weave on. They have books on beginning to weave all the way to mastery and design. They have tons of accessories, benches with storage, shuttles, leasing sticks, and an extensive selection of warping yarns and specialty yarns in multiple fibers from alpaca to cotton to wool.
The best part about the shop is perhaps its people though. From the moment my mom and I walked in everyone was very friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy about sales at all and without being condescending as sometimes experts can be toward beginners.
My only disappointment is that the retail store is only open on Friday afternoons until 5. Since I work Mon-Friday I had to take a day off to be able to visit. Not sure if this is a COVID thing or if it's always been that way. Unfortunately this will limit my ability to go there and shop very often. They do have a huge online presence but with crafting supplies I always prefer to see and feel supplies in person. Color choices are almost impossible to pick out online especially.
Anyway, lovely store and I can't wait to be able to return one day!

If you are a fiber crafter, this store is an absolute must-stop location. The selection of yarn, fibers, books and equipment in this location is absolutely jaw-dropping. I could have spent all day looking through the aisles.

The staff in the store are super friendly and knowledgeable. I told them about problems I had with a certain fiber and they were quick to give helpful tips and even provide alternatives that may work up easier.

This store has everything you need. And even though they have an amazing online presence, visiting the store is 100 times better!!

What a wonderful source for dyes and materials. I own a hands on interactive history museum in St. Augustine, FL. We use the cochineal bugs and indigo in our demonstrations for the school groups and tourists to see how fabrics were dyed in the 18th century.

Kids love seeing these demonstrations and these are top quality products.

Picked up some spinning fiber the other day, and I was amazed at their selection. It is just a small offering compared to their website, but it was fun to see what I could in-person. My husband was having a fun time looking at the looms on display and seeing what we should get in the future if I decide to learn weaving, or add another wheel to my collection.

It is a great place but wasn’t open when we got there. I will call ahead next time to make sure it is open. Online said it was, but online was wrong.

Maple Wool Combs work great !! I have a whole new respect for an 8 oz. bag of roving. 1.6 oz. are done and a big bag left to do .

Have only ordered online but would love to visit. Great yarn and easy-to-use website make shopping a dream, plus they got my order out FAST! Especially love the details in their product descriptions. Having recommended setts is so helpful, as a new weaver.

First trip to the store and it was a fiber heaven! Everything any fiber artist could want. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and ready to assist or demonstrate proper use of tools. If you have only ever ordered online I promise, the trip was well worth it. We will DEFINITELY make the drive again.

This is a wonderful company with exceptional customer service. Any one who picks up the phone is willing to answer or help with any questions you have. I purchased my first wheel through them and most recently my first rigid heddle loom. Their shipping is always expedient with the utmost care when it comes to packaging. I highly recommend ordering from this company for any of your fiber needs.

I highly recommend this company. I sent an email this morning regarding help navigating a new brake set up for a 1958 loom and got a quick response that was detailed and full of information. I am SO thankful for this company and their amazing help.

Nice people, nice products. I recently became interested in weaving, and discovered The Woolery through an online search. After ordering online as well as visiting their store, I am impressed most of all by their customer service. These are real people who are passionate about their business and really care for their customers. The products they offer are competitively priced and cover the gamut of fiber art needs. Their showroom, while primarily geared to support their online business, is fun to walk through and has a variety of looms on display. If you're ever passing through Kentucky, be sure to drop in.

I rode along with my neighbor to drop off two Dyson vacuum cleaners belonging to her & her sister. One in need of cleaning only & the other needing servicing due to a loud noise and also cleaning. I listened quietly and the employee was very knowledgeable and informative. He even took time to demonstrate to us the new cordless Dyson vacuum. She was amazed how lightweight it was and I liked how it stayed charged for 40 minutes. But, we both liked the suction that Dyson is famous for.

You know a place is awesome when you are not the only person there for their birthday!

I am a new customer for The Woolery and found them to offer excellent customer service. I don't understand the negative review at all. I've ordered from The Woolery twice now and each time found the agent i spoke to go over and above meeting expectations by offering knowledgeable advice and friendly, caring service. If the person one is speaking with doesn't know the answer, she will find someone who does and provide the correct information, even to the extent of calling one back. I am certainly going to be a repeat customer. And I am NOT local!! I only wish i were!

I've been ordering from The Woolery for a year or two and shop online or by phone since I live in another state. I have never had any problems with orders. They have always been very pleasant and helpful answering questions about products or addressing shipping issues by phone. Great customer service keeps me coming back!

I am a spinner and a knitter. I have been ordering from the Woolery for many years and have only good things to say about the experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and VERY HELPFUL. Finally about three weeks ago driving back from the east coast I got to visit the brick and mortar store in Frankfort, KY. WOW! It was pure bliss! Two adorable dogs greet you gently as you come in, but are not at all intrusive. The selection is wonderful and staff was again VERY HELPFUL. It was hard to finally leave. I love this store! It's not the usually slightly uppity craft store you see in most metropolitan areas, where no one bothers you because they are sitting around gossiping. These folks were professional and lovely. Will continue to order online from them and counting the weeks till I can go back and shop in person with them again. Another thing...they smiled a lot. I FELT WELCOME! Woolery, you rock!

The woolery was excellent! Traveled there as part of my wife's birthday weekend. My wife was amazed by the store. Place was easy to find! They carry a large selection of looms, spinning wheels, fibers, ECT. This is a store I would recommend to all!
