If I could give 10 stars to rave about my experience, I would. It was a pleasure and an honor to be chosen to be part of a focus group with one of the longest running, most professional law firms in Horry County. Everyone at the law firm is stellar, from Brooke to Lindsey, Mr. Derrick and the other attorneys, even the visiting attorney from Charleston. You feel like you're part of the family from the moment you walk through the door. They really care about their client's cases and interact with their focus groups , as they value your opinions. I participated in a focus group for the Derrick Law Firm. A case was thoroughly presented and the focus group then deliberated regarding the compensatory and punitive damages on the case. We also were asked what we felt it would have been valuable to hear further details from both the plaintiff's and defendant's perspectives. This is a valuable tool for the law firm to pursue and take their time to keep the best interests of their client at the forefront before entering a trial. Following my experience on this focus group and seeing the attention to detail, I wouldn't hesitate to consult and use this firm for any future needs.

I was recentally involved in a focus group at the Derrick Law Firm. It was a very interesting experience.

From the stand point of the firm, we were assured that our input was very valuable. The lawyers are able to take the results from the focus juries, and use that information in mediations. I understand that this quite often leads to better settlements without having to go to trial.

Results of these panels runs consistently close to what a jury decides. Additionally, videos of our deliberations can be viewed, to further explain how we came to our decisions. All of which shows the opposition what could happen in trial.

At the end of going over our results, the trial lawyer asked us questions about our impressions of the people giving depositions. Again, I felt our response was valued and helpful.

This was a rewarding experience that seemed to be very valued by the lawyers involved.

Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. They provided explanation of the law in terms that were easy to understand. Highly recommend!

Lets start with the building itself and work our way up to the people. The DLF building speaks volumes itself with classy and sophisticated vibes all throughout each office, conference room and the jury room! I felt I moved up an entire social class just using their clean bathrooms! 😅 I really want one of those white/swivel/pillow/throwback/comfy/non-squeaky chairs from the conference room!

They treated us so well. The DLF should be a prime example of Southern hospitality. Everyone was so genuine and happy to be there and I couldn't have asked for a better team to be around. I was extremely nervous to be there but once I got situated it was an amazing experience that I hope to relive one day!

Oh and my birthday is Dec 11th.... Just in case *cough* yall wanna give up a *cough* white/swivel/pillow/throwback/comfy/non-squeaky *cough*

Great respect for everyone at firm. Even better is that they also treat you with great respect. Would recommend to everyone.
