Applewood Pet Resort

I am so glad I found Applewood Pet Resort. They took in my 1.5 year old Ridgeback on fairly short notice. She got into the daycare program during her 2 night stay, had a great experience and was well cared for. The facility is very nice and the staff's service was excellent. I felt my dog was safe, especially knowing they have a veterinarian office on premises. I called for check ins and was given a report card, no question. I look forward to having my Ridge go back when needed.

I LOVE APPLEWOOD PET RESORT! The staff is ALWAYS SO SWEET to my dogs Salty and Sonny. I am out of town and JANELLE just called because she was concerned that my dog Salty has a limp. Unfortunately she did not know that it is an old injury. She was just concerned! This is a great employee going above and beyond! I highly recommend Applewood Pet Resort. We normally board our dogs at Second Home Pet Resort, but they were booked so we used Applewood as an alternative option. We have decided to use applewood as our official dog boarding facility moving forward.

They took wonderful care of our Great Dane mix and Catahoula. Our Great Dane mix had a pretty bad allergy infection the day she was dropped off. The staff at applewood was consistent with her meds, and she came home better than ever. Our flight was delayed and we couldn’t get home in time to receive them, applewood was happy to keep them for an additional night. We were very happy with their facility and look forward to boarding them again!

We needed a place to take our newly rescued babies upon learning of my dad’s passing. We would highly recommend this resort beaded on their last minute availability, the adorable resort, the way the love on your babies and their incredible service! Otis is typically traumatized in any situation and he came out of there with a big smile and more confidence than ever. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you for accommodating our fur kids!

Applewood was really there for us and our fur babies. My mom and I had back to back surgeries and our Abby was so overgrown. Luis did an excellent job and one of the assistants took her out for a little walk on the grounds. Super reasonable prices. We're coming back and bringing our Sugarbear to doggy day care there. Very organized. Thank you!

Applewood has been so helpful with taking care of our dogs when out of town this year. The dogs are very happy to be there too!

Nice resort. Izzy's first time for play and grooming. Groomer actually followed instructions. We'll be back!

Fast, friendly and safe. They helped calm my anxiety ridden Rottweiler so that necessary blood tests could be completed. Thanks again Dr. Sodderstrom and Dr. Lemus.

06/28/2022 Update:
In the last 7 days both Dr. Sodderstrom and Dr. Lemus came through for 2 of my 3 dogs that needed attention. Last Thursday Dr. Sodderstrom performed emergency surgery to remove 2 foreign objects from my idiot Belgian Malinois and today Dr. Lemus was able to address an injured paw pad on my female Rottweiler on same day notice. Thanks again Applewood. You guys 🪨 🎸 🤘

10/4/2022 Update: Applewood still 🪨🪨🪨

I’ve been using applewood since my dog was around 2. I am usually out of town every Thanksgiving & Christmas and applewood has always had rooms available for him! I’ve never had a problem and when I pick up my dog he always looks great and is super happy:) I have never written a review and my dog is now almost 8 so I thought it was time. I’m writing this review right around the time of a new dog flu that had no cure & vets were not sure where it was coming from. I was gone for almost two weeks so I was a little nervous coming back for my dog but he is doing great:) I could not be happier that he was safe and healthy for his whole stay!! I just wanted to let you guys know I appreciate you all so much! Front office staff is always so sweet & thank you to the back office who take care of my dog so well 🥰 hands down best boarding in Arizona

I chose Applewood for many reasons, but the primary reason is that they have staff on-site 24/7. I live on the West Side, and no boarding facilities offer that. I would never leave my dogs overnight without someone there in case of emergencies. It was a long drive and more money than places near me, but it was so worth the few extra dollars. And there's a veterinarian next door available 24/7. The facilities are amazing, and my dogs had a blast. The staff is amazing and I wouldn't consider any place else!

This place is amazing. The service is unmatched. The entire staff is warm, welcoming and kind. They even let you pay in the exam room so you don’t have to stand in the lobby with all the other animals around. I’ve been to at least 10 other vets over the years and this place is the best. Very clean and beautiful decor. I love how they have pictures of their patients decorating the walls.

Not just another veterinarian, true pet lovers giving you and your pet the thought and care needed to make all comfortable. Willing to accept short notice visits. Everyone from the front desk to the Doctors are friendly.

We love Applewood Pet Resort! So do the pups! Been going here for years, the staff is friendly and always service with a smile! We have taken our fur babies to other boarding and grooming facilities and they always seem to come back traumatized. We love Applewood Pet Resort options for kennels, they even have TVs! Our dogs love watching TV. Every time we pick up the pups they are excited and don't seem to want to leave LOL.

This place is legit....I feel 100% safe leaving my dog here. 2nd time I've been here...love it!!

I've taken my precious mutt, Bosco, here for grooming for about four years. I just discovered their pet hospital. In both cases the care is top rate, beautiful facilities and the great surprise is....competitively priced. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have trusted all my dogs over the years with Applewood staff. It is a great place to bring your fur babies. They are well cared for, loved by staff, and my dogs always want to go back.

This is an incredible facility, it is very apparent the staff love working with animals. It was a first experience for my dog, he has never been at a day care, and suffers from separation anxiety. I know he had a good experience by the way he greeted me, he was happy to see me but not over stimulated. On our ride home he was relaxed, content, and napped all the way. Thank you everyone at Applewood Pet Resort for your caring, companionate care.
