Heartland Nursery and Garden Center

The first place I go every Spring to lift my spirits and reassure myself that warmer and brighter days are forthcoming. I find Heartland has the best selection around...and I try to visit them all. It's a great place to get a hanging basket and see what new specimen plants are going to be showcased. But most importantly I feel all selections are healthy and disease free. Very rarely do I lose anything and if I do it's usually due to my own neglect. Best herb selection of anyone!

We love this place! They have tons of plants and friendly knowledgeable employees. This is the best nursery I have been to in the country. It's a greenhouse about the size of a Walmart. Even in the dead of winter we love coming here because while it's only indoor plants in the winter they do have many indoor plants, and the best part is soaking up the sun and viewing live plants during a season you can't do that outside. Bring the family stretch your legs, smell the plants and combat that cabin fever!

Heartland is always a great place to get literally any plant your looking for! They can be a bit expensive but the quality is phenomenal! A great array of gardening supplies, decor, pots, seeds, insecticides, fungicides, bird feeders, succulents, trees, established vegetable plants, flowering plants, herbs, and medicinal plants!

What a fantastic place to visit! I went in for lenten roses, they haven't come in just yet. But that's ok! I found this beauty instead. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Very well staffed and everyone there seemed so happy. P.s. they have a huge pot selection!

First off this place is amazing and I’ve had nothing but great encounters here with the staff. I’m especially impressed with the perennial man named Greg! I was with my grandmother and she speaks only Russian so he started talking to her in PERFECT Russian, giving her a compliment on her nails. Made her feel so welcomed. He also knew sooo much about geraniums down to the exact soil PH and how to take care of them. I’ll be coming back anytime I need help with my garden.

What an amazing place! Everything is labeled and very well organized. Prices are reasonable. Tree's also can come with a 1 year warranty! They have plenty of people around to help with all your questions or concerns. Very peaceful environment. Will definitely be going back soon.

Great place for flowers and veggies. If you go early in the year (April, May) is when they have a lot of the veggies after that they don't have any at all. But great selection for garden decor etc. Thya have grow native plants, which I love because I like to bring back butterflies and bees locally. If you're a cactus/succulent lover, they have tons of variety to choose from.

In my opinion this is absolutely the best nursery in the Kansas City area and my go-to place for plants! I feel my stress melt away when I walk in. Every plant I get from here is so healthy and happy. Every worker is very kind and even if they don’t know the answer to something, they’ll try their hardest to answer it. I love coming here as well as bringing my friends & family.

This is my favorite nursery, they have an incredible variety of good looking healthy plants. I can always find what I'm looking for. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable...and patient. I had one of them help me find a houseplant, he spent almost 15 minutes asking me about the conditions it would be in, answering my questions and talking about the struggling plants I already own. The one I ended up getting that day on his advice is thriving. It is a little more expensive than some places but I think the quality of product and service is worth it. There is also a loyalty club type program to sign up for to take advantage of special deals.

This place is phenomenal! We come down from Liberty and have a great experience every single time. Amazing, helpful, and friendly employees, fantastic healthy plants, and just everything else you could need (or just want to spend money on 😉)

IM IN LOVE......Nothing short of AMAZING and it’s not even growing season right now and it’s still AMAZING.... today was my first time in the nursery BUT it will not be my last. They have ANY and EVERYTHING you could even think about having in your garden or your house plant needs as well. ANY AND EVERYTHING... nothing eles needs to be said. PLEASE go and check them out if you have not been to this nursery. Thank you Heartland for being the SUPREME NURSERY that you are. LOVE IT.

Love this green house. It's the only I shop at now.. the selection is great and I mean top notch. They have such variety. Very accommodating to their customers. Always have answers no matter what question I ask. Out of the thousands of plants I bought only 1 ever died on me. And that's why I always return. The place is clean and organized.

Very nice family owned business. Started in the 70s out of the back of a truck selling fruit apparently. Spoke with the owner who was very helpful as I was returning a plant that died. Bad instructions on the package not their fault. Really impressed with service and with the selection. Their succulent display is awesome!

This place is amazing. Their plants are so healthy, and there are so many varieties. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Friendly staff was very helpful. Plants are healthy and looking strong. I'm excited to get them in the ground in the next couple weeks.

Attended their winter greenery decorative pot class. Cliff is an excellent teacher. Very talented. Will be back next year.
