Ellis Creek Fish Camp

One of my favorite places on James Island! Great food, great views and atmosphere. Our go-to orders are currently the shrimp and crab Alfredo, fried oysters and the blueberry margarita. Tried the frozen coconut mint mojito and it was delicious! Don’t skip on this place and very dog friendly 🙌🏼

Absolutely amazing!!
Food came out so hot and fresh.
Nothing was just sitting in the back.
Got the fried Shrimp Plate, tacos and shrimp po boy and can't wait to come back.
Go to the window to make your order then go have a seat and they bring it to you.
Even got to chat with the owner. All good things though.
Chicken tenders were like a split chicken breast that tasted so fresh and not frozen.
Service was quick to refill drinks and the views off the marsh are great.
They have lots of fans as that summer heat will definitely be cooking you though.
Place is dog friendly but all the owners kept them close to their own tables.

Order at the window and sit down for some good food. Fair prices. A good spot. The grouper sandwich with sweet potato fries was great!

Don't let this roadside seafood spot fool you. Some of the best and freshly made seafood we've had on our many beach excursions. Atmosphere is chill and nothing fancy. Great food and booze selection. The staff were super cool, and the service was on the spot.
Will definitely return!

Recently visited Eli’s Creek Fish Camp for dinner. I had the mahi mahi and my friend had the shrimp and grits. Both were Excellent! We finished our meals and wanted more! Really nice atmosphere and amazing food.

Great food and great view! My husband loved his fish tacos & the kids loved their burgers. All staff members are very friendly and kind. The bathrooms are super clean as well! I highly recommend Ellis Creek Fish Camp! Can’t wait to come back soon!

Wow! We finally stopped here and found out why it's always busy. Everything we had was delicious, especially the shrimp and grits and the blackened grouper. The seafood tastes fresh and the outside seating is picturesque. Definitely will be back next time we're in the area!

Our family visited during a short visit to Charleston looking for a less touristy and dog friendly place to eat after a long day on the beach. Oh man, was this place just perfect. They are so dog friendly that they have dog food on the menu. Our good boy, Hank, enjoyed his meal, as well as his leftovers. There were plenty of water bowls around and the staff gave attention to our dog, as well as other dogs around us. The outside seating was great, had fans, and offered a wonderful ambiance sitting next to the water. The food was great! This family of four, plus 1 dog, left feeling very satisfied and happy. I look forward
to coming back the next time we are in town!

Found this place by accident and was so happy we did. We went about 4:00 and the crowd had not started yet. Got in line to order and then picked a seat booth outside. There was a great breeze, as well as fans going over most of the tables. There were water/marsh views that were spectacular. We had a large shrimp meal, a shrimp and grouper meal, catfish bites, Bella fingers and hushpuppies. Everything was hot when it came out. The food here was delicious. Would recommend making the trip out to it for sure. When we were leaving, lots of people had started to arrive and line up. This should be on a must do list for Charleston.

This was our first time here. Very casual. You stand in line and then go up to a window to order and then your order is brought to you. Service was good. The shrimp & grits and the loaded fries were great. The fish & chips were okay. The firecracker shrimp, chicken & waffle and the coleslaw with pecans were very good! Nice outdoor partially covered seating areas.

Would come here every night of our vacation. Delicious food, beautiful view, cozy ambiance. Available heat lamps and fans to enjoy outdoor seating. Erica was kind, friendly & knowledgeable. Erica offered suggestions was very hospitable. They have a full bar to include a variety of frozen drinks.

Nice spot near the water. The Oyster Po-boy was very flavorful.

The Grilled grouper was nice and flaky.

The fried shrimp had a very tasty batter.

The tables were nice and had a heater for those that might be a little cold blooded or a fan for a bit of a breeze.

Ordering was simple at the walk up window. The food came out pretty quick.

Been driving past this spot for months and it always has a decent amount of people. Very nice and laid-back, and great atmosphere. The outside decor is beautiful weather you go in the day or the night. Staff was very friendly and the food was brought out quickly. The food and drinks were great. I can definitely see myself taking family/friends here

Excellent! Awesome! Insert superlative of the highest degree. First awesome ambience. Even better in the rain as there is no crowd. Second awesome staff with great recommendations. And the best part is the music. I heard The Devil Makes Three, OCMS tunes from before they got famous and a host of others! Good beer, good food, great service. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent meal here. It was super hot and we still enjoyed eating outside. Walk up and order. Easy. Fans and a breeze. Get you one of their frozen drAnks haha I recommend the Coconut Lime WoW guys that was good. Delicious. I also highly recommend the shrimp cocktail and anything fried haha. Thanks for a wonderful lunch

Fantastic! chilled out little fry house. Parking is limited so your timing has to be right.

We loved it here so much we came 3 days in a row. We were working camp down the road and this place came highly recommended from the locals. It did not disappoint. Amazing staff, atmosphere and food. Highly recommend and cannot wait to come back when in town!

This was amazing food with fast service and good drinks, not to mention well priced happy hour. The only reason it lost a star is because of parking being a mess but of course the location can't help that. The views are amazing while eating too with both seats inside and outside. The picture I have here is the 2 plate with blackened shrimp and grouper and the side were sweet potato fries. Absolutely recommend this place, maybe best to try and go on an off hour to find parking that isn't on the side of the road

Overall, big fan! 10/10 recommend. We came for lunch, but I could see it being an awesome happy hour option.

Food: Definitely get the hush puppies. We got a fried fish taco, two grilled shrimp tacos, a blackened grouper sandwich, and shared fried okra. All were delicious!

Drinks: Got the Harbor lemonade and the strawberry one (forgot names). Small but mighty :)

Ambience: LOVED. So cute, very spacious.
