Carol's Garden Restaurant

The straws were badly bent on the kids' drinks. Otherwise, everything at Carol's was straight-up wonderful. We were greeted by a smiling face as we entered, and seated at a comfortable booth. The kids' menu has some cute activities on one side, and an extensive menu on the other; my little one opted for silver dollar pancakes and a sausage patty, along with an apple juice (the latter of which came with that straw that was bent in no time). The regular menu is extensive, but it took no time for my not-so-little one to pick a Belgian waffle with strawberries, which was offered with whipped cream upon ordering, to which a jubilant yes rang out. Luckily the silver dollar plate also arrived with a bowl of whipped cream, so no one felt left out (nice touch!). I ordered the spinach crepes, which were wonderful, and came with shredded hash browns just like I like them.
After much eating and coffee consumption, we decided to commemorate our meal, and asked the same employee who greeted us with a smile to take a photo of us, which he kindly obliged. I didn't include those photos, so unfortunately I'm only posting pics of those wacky straws, mainly in hopes of getting a funny reply from the owner. 😆

Absolutely amazing French toast and everything else was hot and fresh and good portion sizes will return!!! Fantastic!!
Update:Tried their burger and I loved it so much definitely worth it!!

I’m 23 years old and I’ve probably been coming here since I was 6 years old. This place is sentimental to me because it was my grandma’s favorite restaurant. I come almost every week for their soup and saganake.

Grew up in this area, drove by a million times and never went in to eat. Until today. Banana bread French toast was phenomenal. Even my mom, a picky eater, cleaned her plate! I had a skillet that was fantastic, too. Very good amount of food for the money. We will be back!

Went there twice in 3 days. My visitors couldn't get enough of their delicious food. It is now my new favorite place to eat. It is a little bit of a drive but we'll worth it. Would recommend the place to everyone

First time there. Food was excellent for a Family restaurant. Had their Monty Cristo sandwich which was served correctly with raspberry sauce for dipping. Most resteraunts don't rember to this. Place was clean. Also offered icecream from a icecream counter (didn't have room left). Good time for lunch.

Rene the server was phenomenal. Speed of service, food, and drinks were speedy quick. Not to mention the food is crazy good. Homemade bread?? Yes please. Get the chicken noodle soup as an appetizer and dip your bread in it. Will be back hopefully soon.

Very large filling portions, great tasting food, friendly staff. Restaurants as good as this are very hard to come by now.

Love their lemon chicken soup. Food is always good. Morning, noon or dinner.

Had a delightful time with good friends. One of whom has been taking care of her husband who has been ill since Aug and is finally getting better. The other one just had an eye procedure. It was so good to sit and relax with them.

Great family style restaurant. Features a HUGE menu !!! You name it they have it. Very tasty fluffy pancakes and crisp thick bacon. Good coffee. Great wait staff always there to re-fill your cup. Wonderful omelets and crepes. Good place to go for any meal and a large area of seating, so you have some private talking time. Great for families with kids.

I've only been here for lunch but always good and a nice variety on the menu.

I went and had breakfast with my grandson who is 4 years old. He enjoyed his kids meal and had a wonderful breakfast with his nonnie

The food is outstanding. Very nice and friendly stuff. Took most of the food home. It's a lot of food.

An iconic American restaurant.
A survivor of Covid, inflation and economic downturns. Like restaurants of 20 years ago, serving steaks, chops, salads, sandwiches, cocktails, etc. There's some Greek and Mexican favorites. This place is huge with an equally hugh parking lot. I went with friends for lunch and we all enjoyed our meals very much. I live 15 miles away, and it was definitely worth the trip.

Had trouble deciding what I wanted at first but then decided on the Berry French Toast with hot chocolate. Went with my brother and mother. The waitress was super friendly and we all got chicken noodle soup too which was nice. 👍

My husband and I really enjoy eating and take out from here. The staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. The prices are reasonable and we often share a meal then add desserts.
Recently, we had the unusual experience of ordering a side dish we did not enjoy. The waitress was quick to apologize and remove the dish and took the cost off the bill. I want to add the food here is delicious and has the taste of being carefully prepared.

Came here for Mother's Day breakfast and didn't regret it. Nice people, good American food! Even with a crowd of customers the wait wasn't long - that speaks of efficiency! Will definitely repeat it.
