Lake Effect Bar and Grill

Get the wings. They're insanely good and definitely my top pick on the menu. Onion rings are also mega crispy and tasty, drinks hit strong, but those wings. We visited twice during our trip because we couldn't get enough of those wings!!!!

Ate here multiple times during my stay in Copper Harbor.

Great atmosphere: think bar on the beach, but with an bay cabin feel.

Food was good: I recommend the chili cheese fries, Baken and Manganese burgers.
Also, go for the Two Hearted and Red Ridge (local brews on tap).

Bar and server staff efficient, attentive, and friendly.

Delicious food & friendly service! So many options for drinks too. The portions were big and they had lots of salad options that looked and sounded amazing. My burger was great. I definitely plan to return.

This bar and grill had delicious food at reasonable prices. Those of us in our party that prefer vegan food found a couple good options there. There is a kid's menu. Wait staff was friendly and helpful.

The only meal in the Upper Peninsula that I was happy with. John was an excellent server. The menu looks underwhelming but the fish and chips were the best we had, beating out dedicated fish and chip restaurants.

Stopped for lunch by snowmobile, what a great choice! The trail goes right past it, but it’s easy to miss because a very popular bar is across the street, my advise is to skip the popular bar and go here!
We had a burger and a quesadilla, both were delicious, wonderful vegetarian and vegan options, and the typical bar food too! My pictures show half our serving, we were really hungry. The service was friendly and quick, really cute north woods decor, not over done. We will be back!

We stopped for lunch, tentative because of some other reviews. I had the Fanny Hooe BBQ burger and it was done medium and tasty. There isn’t much around here for lunch and this was a pleasant surprise!

A great place for some good home cooking. I enjoyed a warm breakfast and good service one morning while up skiing at Mount Bohemia. I will definitely go back on my next visit to the copper country!

Excellent food and friendly service! Be sure to get the homemade biscuits and sausage gravy(only available Friday-Sunday) if you're there for breakfast. The bar is beautiful, and our waitress told us that it was recently renovated. Check it out!

Great place our server was literally running around to keep up with the rush but kept their cool and came through with some great burgers. Would definitely come here again

First time in Copper Harbor and I truly enjoyed myself. The chili warmed me up after a long day skiing, the quesadilla was decent, and I highly recommend the Mac n Cheese (homemade and amazing). The server was helpful and friendly!

I also posted the on "The Pines" review which came up. Great service, friendly staff. Food was better than when it was The Pines. And now outdoor seating.

Was there for a quick drink before the music started. Clean. Friendly atmosphere. Staff visited with the customers with great pleasure. Bloody Mary's were the best!! I thought a tad pricy but it is in a tourist location. Will definatly stop there again.

Lots of tasty food, quick service, patio space if you have a doggo, and a huge beer and drink selection. Great stop for lunch if you’re running through the area.

Really terrific food. My husband loves Reubens, but is pretty fussy about them and he said this is easily the best he's ever had (they make the corned beef on site). My hamburger and fries were good too. Our waitress was super duper friendly and helpful to us in finding places to hike.

Newish owners. Best bourbon selection in Copper Harbor and only place open late. Been going to Copper Harbor since the mid-80’s and now have a new stop.

This resturant/bar is open until 11:00 pm. Lots of locals at the bar. Good vibe. Our waitress (college student from Kentucky), was hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu. She offered suggestions which were fabulous. The fish and chips is probably the best we’ve ever had anywhere. Delicious cod fish with beer batter. The batter was crunchy not soggy and the fish was fresh. Waitress was also kind enough to pull out a tourist map and give us directions. Thank you!
