Bourbon 30

We spent a few hours here seeing the distillery and blending a custom bottle of rye, and WOW. The people that operate this family owned business are incredible, and so is the bourbon. This was our favorite experience on our bourbon trail trip because you felt like family and not just a number. I think everyone should go here to blend their own bottle as a keepsake because there is just nothing like it! Even if you don't want to do this, I highly recommend heading here for a tasting and to learn about J. Mattingly! I can't wait to bring friends/family back.

This place was an absolutely amazing experience. Distillery tours are great, but this experience is so much better. To be able to taste bourbons and blend what you want out of each other barrels you liked the best. You can’t beat the service and the assistance we received. We must have been there for 2 hours. We couldn’t be happier with all that Bourbon 30 had to offer. From tasting to bottling, it wasn’t cheap, but do your self a favor and get your friend together spend your money here.

Great stop! Was glad I stopped on my way through. The staff was super friendly, I really enjoyed the tasting, wasn’t one I didn’t like and they all had their own unique flavor. I look forward to buying a bottle back home. I wish I had more time to explore Georgetown.

OMG...this was by far my funnest visit on my long weekend to Kentucky. I'm pretty new to the Bourbon scene and I was so impresses with Bourbon 30. The Bourbons were excellent and the hostess in the Souvenir area was the best. As a Marine Corps Veteran I felt really appreciated and the show of love for our Military made me smile. If in Georgetown Bourbon 30 is a must visit.

We did our own bottle blending experience. Dakota our burbon master was fantastic and we had the best time. 💯 of the staff was amazing and customer focused. It is a must do when you are in the area. The CEO was on property and you could see the passion and commitment. That always makes for a great company.

Ermigerd!!!! Go here! We only had one week in Kentucky and were trying to hit the highlights. This place is personal and small, so obviously was not on route because of advertising, however, it's going down as the best piece of my Kentucky trip. If you're just browsing, you can get a healthy tasting for about $20. BUT, if you're as enamored as I was, with both the bourbon and the staff, create your own bottle. You can sample from MANY barrels and find a blend that is just right for you. I managed to find my blend really quickly, but my partner in crime took hours. Not once did the staff rush or hurry him (I might have, too no avail). Trish was amazing and was a great wealth of knowledge following my trading and discerning what I might enjoy. Again, GO HERE! I can't recommend it enough!

This was without question my favorite experience in KY! The staff makes you feel right at home, and we're super helpful with the tasting portion but more importantly the blend! Top notch experts and incredible whiskey. If you live in or visit Kentucky, I highly recommend stopping by!!

We came for the J. Mattingly experience; it did not disappoint! It's definitely a splurge, but absolutely worth it for any whiskey/bourbon/rye lover. We ended up sampling from 13 different barrels to pick our different blends. Everyone we worked with was so passionate about bourbon. We spent about 2 hours there between sampling, talking and the blending/final tasting process. I highly recommend sticking around town for a meal afterwords.

This was our fourth stop of the day and surprisingly was our favorite. Walking in we did not have high expectations, but the staff quickly changed our opinion. About 10 from our group did the bourbon tasting, and at $20/person it was a steal. The knowledge and personality of the young staff made this the best bourbon tasting of our trip. We spent about 75 minutes there and the time flew by. Purchased a shirt and some bourbon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Today we went to Bourbon 30 for the J. Mattingly experience. This place allows you to taste among 120 barrels of whiskey and bourbon from around the area. Once you note your favorites, they help you combine balances of each to blend your own bottle.

Everyone there was very knowledgeable, fun, and made us feel like part of the crew. We were there 2 1/2 hours and learned so much about the industry flavor development. You choose your own large bottle, or split into two smaller bottles. Then you choose your label and wax. The whole thing was a ton of fun!

We strongly recommend this to anyone curious about the art of beverage flavor and taste. Hands down we will do this again next time we’re in this part of the country. And we’ll go out of our way to do it!!!

We saved the best for last! Hands down the best experience any whiskey enthusiast will have in KY. This was the last stop on our trip and I couldn't have been happier. Awesome, friendly, highly knowledgeable staff. We felt like family from the second we walked in the door. Learned, tasted and left with an amazing bottle after 3hrs (could have stayed all day). If you're going to KY for bourbon this needs to be a stop on your list!

All of the whiskeys were outstanding, but even more importantly, the experience was amazing! They treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door. Special shout outs to Leroy, who greeted us and gave us a tour as we waited to do a tasting; and Harry, who handled our tasting and who was very very helpful and knowledgeable. Special shout to to Jeffrey, who is the owner, and as I stated above, treated us like family. We will be back!

One of my favorite experiences ever. I was just going to do the basic tasting, but my wife convinced me to do the full barrel tasting experience. So happy that I did! Cyrus, Aaron, and Cameron were awesome. They explained everything, left us to taste what we wanted, and helped us find just the right mix of barrels for our custom blend. Like others have said, you will feel super welcome here. We’ll be back, and we’ve already recommended this place to other bourbon loving friends. I wish this place nothing but continued success. Our youngest son Andrew passed away on July 17, 2021 at the age of 26, and these bottles are dedicated to his memory. P.S. Spanky was very cute too, and the recommendation to visit Galvin’s for lunch was spot on!

This was a surprisingly great stop on our bourbon tour. It was recommended by our server at dinner, and we were so glad we took her advice! Unlike the more readily recognized distilleries that we visited, this is a small family-owned operation with a simple receiving area/shop when you enter, and small distillery in the back.

I was initially concerned that the bourbon would have a backroom moonshine quality, but all four samples were delicious and unique. Our guide, a young and very congenial woman, gave an earnest layman description of their processes, selection, and history. As a person who greatly enjoys bourbon bit doesn't necessarily know the proper terminology to describe it, I found her descriptions very easy to follow and understand.

The hospitality and small business feel of Bourbon 30 made for a wonderful experience, and I was excited to learn that I can actually buy their bottles at a store near Cincinnati.

Absolutely love this place!! The hospitality there is beyond anything we've experienced before. Food and drinks always seem to be provided. This was our second time visiting. We brought along our daughters, they never once made them feel out of place. They made them feel absolutely welcomed. There is a wide variety of bourbon and whiskey to sample. Creating a custom blend to take home is one of the most satisfying experiences. We will definitely be going back again.

I recently visited Bourbon 30 to do a blend and bottle my own custom bottle. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by an amazing group of people who treated me like family. Leroy was great and went above and beyond to make sure the experience was top notch. Amazing customer service and experience. Do yourself a favor and stop in and see for yourself!

Great place to be educated about whisky, rye, and bourbon. Fun place for small group outings and you leave with a bottle Taylor made just for your tastes!!! We’re coming back this fall (2023)!

I rode my motorcycle from Shelbyville to pick up a limited release bottle today. They treated me like family. We did tastings, talked about the differences in bourbon, looked around their facility, and they even put towels on my motorcycle seat to keep it from getting hot in the sun.

I had a great time, and my underage daughter did too. They made sure she felt included in the whole experience.

Make sure you stop in when you’re out on the bourbon trail!

Simply put, this is like no other place/Distillery you have ever been. I have been on many Distillery tours and have always wanted to sample straight from the barrel. I got to do this at Bourbon 30 for the first time in my life. Also, I am not aware of any other place where you can go in, select/mix your own bourbon. You WILL leave with a bourbon that is exactly how you want it to taste.

One of the best bourbon tasting and bottling experiences we've done. My husband chose this place to celebrate his 30th birthday and he really enjoyed it. We can't wait to come back! Definitely go if you love tasting bourbon.
