Quilter's Station

I am not one to write reviews - either positive or negative but felt very strongly that I needed to write a review regarding this quilt shop. My mother, father, sister, and I had the blessing of driving together from Texas to Northwest Iowa in the last few weeks. We made several stops at quilt shops along the way and the Quilter's Station was in the top few of our experiences. I read the reviews posted prior to choosing to stop here, telling my mom and sister that the website had beautiful pictures of the store but some not so positive reviews of the staff. We were greeted immediately with a welcome and a smile when we walked into the store. The staff was more than helpful in locating items and offering suggestions. There was a particular kit we were interested in and they looked high and low to find it and YES we even used the restroom. This is a wonderful quilt shop for all the material and stock but more importantly the staff. Make sure you stop and shop - you won't be disappointed. I just wish they were closer to Texas. As an alternative, I will definitely shop from their website as I know I can call ask questions and be greeted with great staff more than willing help.

Amazing place!! I can't say enough nice things. What a jewel of a quilt store. But wait! They also have an amazing assortment for those who love embroidery, punch needle, wool work, rug making, etc. The best assortment of floss in the KC area. The owner was there with two staff members. They were so friendly and helpful. They offer classes as well. I can't wait to go back.

Was there this past weekend. Live in St lou...I have never seen so much fabric in my life. If you want fabric they will have it...most impressive fabric store I have ever been in.

Oh my gosh!! The selection of material is awesome. Friendly staff, but credit card machine had communication issues, not denied, call would not connect. Organized basically by main color, some special sections - Halloween, Christmas. Discount area in back - staff should mention it.

This is by far the most spectacular quilt shop I have visited. My husband and I have a motorhome and we travel the U.S. every summer so you know I have visited a lot of quilt shops. The fabric selection is extensive with the latest collections. The wool area is well stocked also. And let’s not forget the staff. They are friendly and extremely helpful. I plan on taking my sister who is also a quilter to this shop in the spring. Can’t wait!

What a great place to stop along I-49!! So much fabric and wonderful ideas are all over the place. The team was super helpful. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely bring a bigger suitcase!! 😀

So sorry i haven't found this place before! Lovely felted wools and any supplies you might need for quilting and counted cross stitching! I will DEFINITELY be back!

Very nice shop and they are so helpful. They have a wide selection of materials. They have every ruler you could ever need. I love the display of quilts all over their walls!! There is plenty of free parking. There is a work station in the back of the store where you can work on your quilt and get help when you need it. They have supplies for people who like to embroider also.

Quilter's Station has maybe more fabric than anyplace in the region.... and so beautiful. I love batiks and think of the rows of batiks in all colors and prints that she has here... even when I'm not shopping! They are works of art. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable and the inventory is vast. No kidding..... (you can explore via the virtual tour to get an idea before you go there). I have made 3 quilted instrument bags (electronic piano, mountain dulcimer, and Taos hand drum) from the beautiful batiks she has and I love using the cases when we play out. Made several smaller items as well (like a quilted case for my laptop). And I'm not even a quilter, really. :) love this place!

Love, love, love this shop. Rita is amazing with her choices to tempt us! Tons of fabric choices, books, patterns and notions. Wool patterns, books and a great selection of wool. And now she is expanding her cross stitch charts and fabric. Yippee!

This is an amazing place!! Lots of materials for your projects. Interested in trying something new. They have kits and are very helpful. Have decor stuff as well. If you haven't checked Quilters Station out yet. You need too. The ladies there are very friendly and very very helpful.

This is by far THE MOST AWESOME quilt shop ever. Rita has every flavor of fabric, beautiful hand-dyed wool, and a huge selection of quilting books and patterns. She has everything you need to make beautiful quilt! This is high quality fabric, not the cheaper/inferior stuff that's available at Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's ... this is the good stuff that you want for your family treasures. I find the prices to be the same as in all other quality fabric shops. She has the most beautiful samples and kits which eliminates my headache of choosing fabric for my quilt. Quilter's Station is an amazing place to visit and should be experienced by every quilter!

Best shopping experience in a long time, helpful is an understatement of what the girls did for us today. Besides helping pick out fabric, cutting, and packing our cut blocks into individual baggies. 12 blocks in all for upcoming CIVIL WAR block of the month quilt. Best selection of Civil War fabric EVER .

Store is clean, very well stocked, there's every kind of fabric and color you could imagine here! Staff is very nice too.

This place has A HUGE selection of fabric, wools, threads, patterns, books and inspirational items to discover. I always spend waaaay more time AND money than intended but am never regretful. Just like other places sometimes the staff, meh, but I don't go there for the people. This place is a textile nerds HEAVEN!

This is my favorite quilt store in the Kansas City MO area. The ladies are always helpful and very knowledgeable. They are always willing to help you find just 'that' green you need. Worth the trip if you are from out of town.

This shop has a ton of beautiful fabrics and patterns. Plus their selection of wool is amazing. Every time I go in the staff are so nice and helpful.

Favorite Quilt Store. Great selection of historic fabrics. Beautiful display of quilts and other textile fine Arts. Friendly, helpful sales people. Cute gifty items also.
