We love this hotel, it is quite close to us being North Wales residents but it gives us a lovely break, whilst still being near enough if needed.
Great location, views and grounds to explore.
Nice to see refurbishment going on around the hotel, I hope this includes the outside an gives it a facelift.
So much info on the walls, and in the folder in the rooms.
Interesting menu and very pleasant dining rooms.
Comfy roomy doubles, shower lush.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great location and amazing views. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice both hot and cold. Room had everything needed including large comfortable bed and powerful shower - always a bonus.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Friendly staff, great breakfasts. We ate dinner in the pub whilst watching the rugby which was very nice. Nice menu selection. Our two night stay was very comfortable and had everything we needed

Stayed for walking weekend with a group of friends. Rooms were comfortable and seemed to have been recently refurbished. Atmosphere in bar on the Friday evening was pleasant and lively.
On Saturday we had a group meal in the large dining room, the food was excellent, much of it local produce.
All in all an excellent weekend and would seriously consider coming back for another stay.

Stayed for a couple of nights in February. The hotel location is superb, great walks and the Snowdon railway on the doorstep. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the only criticism is it was a bit warm even with the window open and I don’t the the radiator thermostat valve was working to turn down. Breakfast was very good, we ate in both the restaurant and bar and the food was good and reasonably priced. The bar was also comfortable if a little quiet, Llanberis lacked any alternative (pub) so we were happy to chill after a hard day’s walking. I would recommend this hotel and may well book again.

We had a lovely stay! We loved the room, it was light and airy with a big widow that gave us beautiful views towards Snowdon. It was also very clean and well looked after. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was delicious...we ate in the restaurant for both nights of our stay. We felt the whole thing was wonderfully good value.

A comfortable hotel providing very good value for money. Excellently situated for exploring all the local attractions with walks on the doorstep and easy access to nearby towns. Very professional and friendly staff. Good quality breakfast and a comfortable bar serving a range of delicious meals. Would definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful 4 night stay. The first meal of chicken was a let down but the rest of the week was really lovely. The breakfast was superb and served by a lovely lady.
I agree with previous reviews about the toilet paper. If it was a better quality you wouldn't need as much. The staff were amazing and professional and nothing was too much trouble. Joanne at the bar was very friendly and helpful with local knowledge.
The room was very comfortable and spotless. Housekeeping girls very friendly. Tea, coffee and biscuits replenished every day.
Really great stay. Thank you Royal Victoria xxxc

Stayed for 2 days and had a very nice chilled out stay. Staff all appeared to be very happy which I think always shows a good management team and great working environment. Bar meals at first look appear pricey but once they are served it’s clear they use fresh and local ingredients which explains the price and they are very delicious. Breakfast has lots of choice and the lady serving it was lovely ( would pile your plate as high as Snowdonia if you let her). We will definitely stay again

The hotel is undergoing refurbishment at the moment. It didn’t affect our stay though. Our room was very comfortable. We ate there a few times. Twice from the bar menu one once from the restaurant menu as it was only open Friday Saturday at the moment. Both menus are delicious but the restaurant I think is exceptional. Would definitely eat in the hotel. It can be a bit busy with customers who are there for the activities in the area. This is understandable of course.
The staff were brilliant!! Could not do enough to help. Very friendly and obliging. My sister and brother in law had breakfast and evening meals quite a few times and it was not a problem for the hotel. Very obliging.
The breakfasts are magnificent. It is buffet style and the servers on the hot food counter ask if you have enough. No skimping on servings. We will definitely be staying there on future visits to Llanberis.

Lovely 3 day stay. 2nd time we have stayed here.
Amazing value. The staff could not of been more helpful.
Breakfast very good. Plenty of options.
Shower area was a little tired but worked perfectly well.
Perfect access to climb Snowdon. The drying room facility to hang wet climbing clothing is very helpful.
Will stay here again!

Great few days here again,

If I could give 10/5, I would. Lovely hotel, with tasty foods and great ale, but the best bit… the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and even when I added my walking needs, they had everything on hand.

This must be my 10th time or so, yet it never fails to impress.

Fully recommend to stay here if you fancy doing north west Wales and with Snowdon on the doorstep too, what’s not to love? Book direct for best deals…

A lovely hotel. The rooms are traditional and have kept their character which we love. Ours was lovely, warm, clean and cosy. We subscribe to their email lisiting so stayed this time on an offer for 30 a night including breakfast which was a fantastic deal. The staff are always happy to help, polite and friendly. Breakfast is buffet style lots to choose from. We also had our evening meal in the bar. Not the cheapest bar meals but they are cooked well and are large portions, can recommend the fish & chips and their burgers. There is also a room service for a £4 charge. It is an old hotel so the floorboards do creak and it has all the noises you would expect from an old building. We don't mind this but people who are noise sensitive might want to take some ear loops for sleeping. A great location for exploring Snowdonia too. Plenty of car parking space and a safe car park. All in all we love this hotel, if you are looking for one with traditional character this certainly ticks the box.

My visit was in February for my 50th birthday, a surprise a gift from my husband. We have visited Snowdonia many times and I have always admired the hotel so he treated me to a two night stay.It was impeccable. The front desk service, very polite and professional with warmth and welcoming. The food at breakfast and also the bar lounge was delicious.I would have loved to dine in the restaurant but unfortunately it wasn’t available to book on a Sunday in February. The room was immaculate and cosy with a fabulous view of the mountains. After walking up and down Snowdon we took an adventure round Dolbadarn castle ruins and walked up the steep slate mine path,so much to do even during ‘off season’ if here ever is such a thing in Snowdonia.
We would love to return and stay with you again ,we hope to one day.Thank you for helping to make the weekend feel so special.

Stayed for 1 night in a single room. The location is perfect as it's right by the train station and the main path. The grounds were lovely. All areas were tidy and clean. I bought an evening meal which was great. Morning breakfast was good too.

A warm and friendly welcome. Our room 102 had a great view over the garden however it was difficult to access the wardrobe and there was no shaver power point in the bathroom. The food and service both in the restaurant and bar was 👍 excellent. A great location.
