Stopped off for a drink after the climb up Snowdon. I was told that Stefan was a great guy. What an absolute genuine man! Made all three of us feel very welcome. Told us a few stories. I could have stayed there for longer!
Smashing man!
Thank you Stefan 💙

After a long walk up Snowdon, I was thankful to land here in the capable hands of Steffan - a very friendly and welcoming man. We had a wonderful chat, and he gave lots of tips and advice about the area, on the back of newspaper which he kindly gave me to keep. I had a hot chocolate and it must be on of the best I have had in many years - restoring life into my body! Hope to return to this beautiful area one day and return to catch up.

Back in November 2022, we met the owner walking his dogs in the morning but didn't realise until he went inside his cafe at the end of our walk! He was very helpful and showed us the way to go, as it was our first time walking Snowdon.

7 hours later, after terenchal weather conditions to the peak had battered us- we stopped off to rest. It was advised to go back down by experienced hikers that day! Stefans hospitality was second to none, to all that entered his cafe. There were people there, like us, freezing and soaked through, but Stefan gave us all a hot drink each and a bin bag to put out wet clothes on for the drive home. The hot chocolate was gorgeous and just what we needed to give us that boost!

It was a day I'll never forget. We got engaged at the top of Snowdon and found this little gem, which we will be back to visit again in the future :) Thanks Stefan!

Amazing place and an amazing owner. We came off the mountain late as we were a little slower than we thought. Stefan the owner was locking up however opened up for us, and sorted us hot chocolate, tea and cider for me!! He also showed us round, chatted with us by the fire and sorted a taxi for us. He was the epitome of what a host should be and we couldn’t have asked for more after summiting Snowdon.

When we return next year we shall definitely visit again, perhaps slightly earlier in the day though!!

Great place to have a hot drink on the way back from Snowdon. Nice tea, coffee and delicious Welsh cake.

Owner Stefan was very welcoming. He showed us the best places to visit in Wales, treated us with delicious cake and interesting conversation.

We stopped in on the way up and down in the driving rain on 17th February ‘24.
Was made very welcome by the owner and enjoyed the warmth of the open fire with a coffee, pot of tea and slice of cake.
A delightful, very small area of a very old cottage, perfect for a fuel up or rest before or after your day on the mountain.

Stefan thank you for the warmest welcome after a soggy hike. The loveliest host, a warm fire for us to dry off and a black bin bag provided for our wet clothes. Thank you so much.

We stopped on our way back down and the owner could not have been more helpful. Went above and beyond to assist our disabled daughter, even welcoming us into his house for her to use the toilet. Really lovely people; genuine and so kind. Well worth a visit.

This place is a must visit after climbing Snowden. Great atmosphere with a cosy fire and original decoration. The coffee, hot chocolate and the Welsh cake were amazing (Americano was one of the best I ever had). Steffan (the owner) is the best part of what makes this place special. He is kind and very friendly, knowledgeable and very sociable. He made us feel home, offered a lot of advice, free parking, gave us a map and cookbook, climbing sticks and free cakes next day on the way home. Steffan went the extra mile expecting nothing in return and made our day a special one, this what I would call a perfect host. Thank you Steffan and keep up the positiveness!!!

Stopped in today on my way back down, and had some of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. The proprietor was very friendly and welcoming and took the time to chat about and offer advice about the local area. The two dogs were also very friendly and laid back. Highly recommended. I intend to return.

Great place. Great friendly local service and plenty of choice even when busy. Is on the main llanberis path at bottom so bear in mind might get busy. Classed as a tea house so remember it's effectively hot and cold drinks and snacks cakes etc not full meals. Would definitely recommend and will be going again maybe in colder conditions for a warm drink maybe even a sit near the fire.

After me and my partner battled gale force winds and rain to climb to the summit of Snowdon we stopped off for a "quick drink". What we found here was quite honestly one of the best places either of us have ever visited. The host Steffan couldn't have been more welcoming, got us sorted with hot cider and coffee with some Bara Brith in front of a roaring open fire. The cottage is lovely with exposed beams and a really homely atmosphere, and Bryn the black Labrador just topped it all off. We bought a jar of local honey, and they also sell t shirts to commemorate your achievement.

I cannot recommend visiting enough, after a hard day's walking it will be just what you need.

Fantastic setting below Snowdon. Lovely outdoor seating. Beer served all day so a great place to celebrate our 3 Peaks achievement. Nice tea and bara brith. As a mountain leader I have visited Penceunant Isaf (Pronounced pen kay nant Isav, meaning by the waterfall), many times over the years and I have great memories of the place. The owner is in semi-retirement now and just outdoor seating is usually offered. However the welcome is always warm.

Lovely spot and very friendly owner. Couldn't help enough in supporting our friends as they completed a charity event (8 ascents and descent). Coffee was spot on, dog friendly and although we were too wet and cold to hang around, they serve beer! Perfect to finish your hike!

Met this gentleman walking up the hill to Snowdon. 26/11/23. We got chatting & he told us he owned the cafe just up the hill. Went in to have a hot chocolate & he let us go into the little living room with a coal fire. He brought us some complementary bara brith. How wonderfully kind of him. He was chatting about his home & business & his family life. he let us have a wonder around his home which was absolutely beautiful. The hospitality shown by him was second to none. Will definitely return to this little gem of a place. Thank you again.

Lovely cosy tearoom with a wonderful friendly host. Had a homemade broccoli and celery soup on a cold day (it was yummy!). Can't say more for a traditional 18th-century family-run tearoom and house. Do visit and order a beer or just have homemade lemonade on the house! Won't regret it.
