What a beautiful weekend we had staying at Llyn Geynant Barns for a wedding last weekend. Stunning location, beautiful venue, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner couldn’t do enough for us when we were bombarding him with questions in our drunken state. If you’re a veggie or vegan they have options for food down by the beach campsite, to save you from heading into town. The toilets and showers were clean (cold, but clean - so wrap up warm if you’re venturing out during the night). As a whole, perfect PERFECT weekend. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and giving us an amazing and memorable weekend for our best friends wedding. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My brother, a good friend and I all stayed here whilst doing Crib Goch, Snowdon. Excellent facilities, very friendly staff, great food and drink and if you are looking to do Snowdon you are not far away. We had an amazing time and I'm looking to take my fiancé and daughter to stay here next time I'm in Wales.

As a photographer, discovering a wedding venue that not only complements but elevates the essence of a couple's special day is akin to finding a hidden treasure. Llyn Gwynant Barns is such a gem, nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Snowdonia National Park.

The natural beauty surrounding Llyn Gwynant Barns is unparalleled. From the serene waters of the lake to the majestic rise of the surrounding mountains. It's truely a stunning place to hold a wedding and we've never had a bad experience.

Steve & Danielle and the rest of the staff at Llyn Gwynant are just the friendliest and best people to work with. Each time I'm there it's like catching up with old friends.

If you're looking for a proper North Wales wedding venue incorporating the majestic scenes and mountains, this is the venue for you.

One of the best and most stunning campsites we’ve visited. It was £30 for two people for a night with a tent, the facilities were incredible. Lots of washing up sinks available and such hot water from the showers to relax the muscles after a long hike. Accessible place for hiking trails up the mountains, beautiful serene lake where you can hire a sup or kayak to go out, fire pits are available and wood is £6. The shop is quite overpriced but they do lovely themed food nights which are reasonable. There is a laundry area with two machines and two dryers. Plenty of sheltered area and such a wonderful communal spirit in the place. Dogs are allowed although need to be kept on a leash at all times. There’s a massive mountain just in front which climbers visit and utilize. The bus to Pen-y-pass for the Snowdon hike stops just at the top of the campsite. Couldn’t recommend enough.

What a beautiful place to camp, we stayed last weekend and family came to visit on the Sunday for the day and we all had a fabulous day. The camp site itself is situated in the most beautiful settings and has brilliant facilities which where very clean. Dog friendly so you can take your fur babies with you. You can hire kayaks/canoes for a reasonable price which we did and we had so much fun on the lake. They provide fire pits and you can purchase logs and kindling they also have a small shop and a place to purchase food if you don't fancy cooking. I would definitely go back and totally recommend.

Loved it. The location is great for Snowdon. Easy S4 bus to Pen Y pass. £2
Very clean campsite The toilets etc were always being cleaned.
The kitchen area is adequate.
On site food looked good although we did not buy any. The shop sells most camping essentials.

There are many fire pits dotted around for evening fires. Wood can be purchased on site.

Would 100% recommend and return again.

One of the best compsites we've ever stayed in. Loved the views, the lakes to swim in, the pizza cafe, the bar, the little shop, the free fire pits. Didn't like the lack of toilets, only 1 block! the portaloo toilets near us only open 11pm-7am

Overall, I had an amazing experience camping here for two nights. The staff were nice and helpful. Showers and toilets are regularly cleaned and they've got a delicious food menu which is different everyday. I wouldn't mind coming back here.

My soul place. Have been going to this campsite for nearly a decade and have seen lots of improvements. But what I still love about it is the scenery, the quiet (no music or sound from any devices ever - silence after 11), campfires onsite, closed off overgrown dog field for them to run around off lead and no phone signal.

Bliss. I need to get back and fast. It is a healing place. The lake and mountain are fabulous to stare at and walk around and I'll happily do this for hours on end.

Pay per person not per tent plus 2 dog max. Showers good.

Lovely campsite; I enjoyed staying here.
(Great hot food served with vegan options, lovely scenery and surroundings with the lake right next to our tent, plenty of places for the kids to play and mess about and many local walks).

By far the best campsite in Snowdonia, very scenic location between a lake, river and a mountain, best location for climbers as 5 minute drive from Pen Y Pass car park, 3 minute drive from Watkin Path carpark and about 15 minute drive from Ogwen Valley car park so ideal for whichever mountain you wish to climb. 20 minute drive from the villages of Betws-Y-Coed or Beddgelert which have lots of restaurants and little shops. and also not far from all of the zipworlds. ideal location for whatever you wish to do!

Campsite has a place serving breakfast, lunch and dinner which is very tasty and reasonably priced as well as serving beer, spirits, wines and tea/coffee etc. the pizzas are delicious! they have a shop, laundry room, lots of clean showers, and best of all paddleboard and kayak hire which is very cheap for an hour!
firepits available to use for free so great for a camp fire.

campsite is always spotless, staff always friendly. site has the right amount of people having fun but not being too noisy, nice to have the quiet chatting only after 11pm and no radios/speakers. recently done a trip where the site was 'full' but there was still loads of room. electric hookup available and also bays for campervans.

Cannot recommend this campsite enough, visited here around 10 times in total over the last few years and wouldn't even consider using a different campsite when visiting Snowdonia.

Thankyou for another fantastic stay!

Great location, with plenty of spots to choose from even though it was a Bank hol weekend. The staff were really helpful, the pizzas were amazingly good, and the spicy pizza was actually spicy which makes a nice change 👍 Toilets and Showers were plentiful, and clean and spacious, and the boiling hot water tap for my girlfriends hot water bottle was a winner for her! Hope to return again 😎

We stayed over Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
I will totally recommend this place. It's well organised, with good, clean facilities, shop with essential items, food place where you can not only buy food but alcoholic drinks although prices for drinks are ridiculous- pint of beer is £5.95! You can also buy wood for £6.50 but if you go to the left of the campsite to the local petrol station you can buy wood for £4.75 per bag or 5 bags for £12. Fire pits available on site.

Now as for the campsite. Toilets are clean and well maintained as well as the showers and washing up area.
Food menu different every day from what we've noticed and not overpriced, also portions were hearty and good size.
There was also a remote pizza van on Saturday and Sunday with very tasty pizza.

The fields- well organised and maintained. You can't actually park the car next to your tent on the field, which makes sense, because the fields are quite... Squishy and muddy. It was quite wet which is expected. The only thing I didn't like about it is that you're not always guaranteed to park close to your tent which I found annoying.

The location is brilliant. Views are stunning. Llyn Gwynant lake is beautiful and you can kayak, swim, Paddleboard or do whatever other water sport directly form the site as it has got access to the lake and to the river which runs to the side of the site.

It is very close to Snowdon Pyg and Miners Trail and to Watkins path. Plenty of other walks around the campsite too.

Price for unallocated tent pitch and a vehicle for 2 adults for the bank hol weekend was £101. Is it pricey? Kind of. Not too bad I suppose for what is actually being offered on site.

I would definitely come back again.

Absolutely brilliant site, views are breathtaking and lots of stuff to do on the site, from hiking to Kayaking. 15 of us enjoyed a great stay for the weekend. Plus they have a cafe / restaurant on site and also a little shop to buy toiletries or small food items.

Highly recommended, great setup.

We absolutely love this camp site. The place can get busy due to its location, access to the lake and proximity to Mount Snowden but we intend to visit here every year regardless. We arrived early this year and were lucky to pretty much have the whole place to ourselves.

A great campsite at the foot of snowdon with great on site facilities and plenty of space for camping pitches! The scenery around the campsite is awe inspiring! As well as the great location the site is also based on llyn gwynant lake allowing for campers and day visitors to hire or use there own water equipment on the lake or river! The site has great showers, toilets, washing up areas, shop and bar and food stand with varying meals each day very handy to save the washing up. The only minor improvement that could be made would be to have the night toilets open longer as it can be a long walk from your pitch to the main toilet and shower facilities, but this doesn’t ruin the experience.

Superb site location, great facilities, showers, toilets, wash up area and all very clean, fire pits available at no charge, just buy the wood. Pets allowed.
Lake is ideal for children, water sports, beach area is shallow so safe, good for kayaks and SUP boards.
Staff are superb, friendly, helpful, very polite and available as they patrol site.
A good walking route around the lake also.
