A great day out in Snowdonia with fantastic weather, fabulous company and a most informative mountaineering instructor. Andy chose the classic Dolmen Ridge to take us from the valley direct to the top of the mountain on a superb scrambling route. He looked after me very considerately whilst ensuring we had a safe adventure through the whole day. A great learning experience too - Andy's full of knowledge, so he gave me plenty of new skills to practice. I'm certainly looking forward to another trip out soon in Snowdonia with him.

Had a great few days exploring the Welsh mountains with Andy. He built a bespoke course to suit what I wanted to get out of the experience and provided me with all the information and equipment I needed. Andy is a local expert and explained things in a way I could understand! Im looking to book another fun adventure with him this summer.

I contacted Andy through his website, and right from the get go he was super communicative and helpful. I wanted to safely get back into outdoor climbing after a long break. I highly recommend him — he’s professional, patient and knowledgable which gave me a lot of confidence to start on my climbing journey again. I’ll be learning all the basics from him over the summer. I have used Andy twice now, once for a scramble and climb of Tryfan, and a 2 day session climbing Crib Goch and Snowden and Grade 3 scrambling on Tryfan Bach. I can't rate Andy enough. His knowledge and manner in which he engages is so good. He listens to what you want as the customer too, and nothing is too much trouble for him either. A top bloke all round, I'll be booking in other sessions with him for later this year and going forwards. Seriously if you're thinking of getting some guided climbing or hiking then you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic learn to lead climbing course. Andy is full of knowledge, very patient and listens to you to build a bespoke course that suits you. He instills confidence and makes you feel very safe at all times.

Highly recommend the climbing course. We had a fantastic time on the one day course (and wish we’d gone for two)! This was largely down to our instructor, Andy, who listened to our previous experience and got us climbing at the right level straight away. My very first experience of rock climbing and really enjoyed every second, and this was down to the professionalism and genuine friendliness and knowledge of my instructor, Andy. He taught me everything I needed to know to start basic rock climbing. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge of the mountains. I enjoyed the climbing and your stories. Andy coached a friend and I in trad climbing. He was incredible and helped explain everything perfectly and in a way that made it easy to understand. His local knowledge of Snowdonia is also brilliant for anyone who needs guidance on where to go!

I have used Andy for coaching in Whitewater Kayaking and Rock Climbing. I have done courses with him in the UK and in the French Alps. I have also booked him to deliver training at our canoe club.

I always find Andy's courses to be well run and always get plenty of useful insights, Andy has got me through (training and Assessment) for Whitewater Leadership, we've Steep Creeked and moved on to Advanced WW skills. More recently I've had a couple of days climbing where I have progressed to multi-pitch climbing after years of single pitch, great fun days and really confidence inspiring.

I'd definitely recommend using Fluid Combinations and I will be using Andy again in the future without a doubt.

First time I met Andy was on my scrambling course to build / improve my confidence... and I fell in love with scrambling and rock climbing!! Reassuringly competent and clear communication. Fantastic few days, excellent route choice made most of weather and packed in as many learning opportunities as possible. Developed my rock skills in more ways than I had expected.

Andy was a great coach. Really understood what I was looking for and made sure we focused on that. I would definitely book with him for any of the activities he coaches in.

I've done a bunch of white water kayaking with Andy, from White Water Safety and Rescue training to weeks in the Alps. His coaching has not just helped improve my white water kayaking, but also stood me in great stead when I got into white water open canoeing too.
