Y Gwynedd Inn

We were staying in a nearby hotel and saw their “winter” menu board when we walked past on a Tuesday evening. They were closed but we came back the following night and it was steak night! Sirloin, homemade chips, peppercorn sauce, salad and a pint for £14.95! The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and the service warm and friendly. We returned the following night 😝
This will be our go to place for food when back in Llanberis.

After a testing trek all you want it a nice meal and a pint. More than reasonable local stuff and unreal scran. Lovely barman too. Proper welsh pub filled with lovely people. A soft southerner delight

Excellent food at unbeatable value. £20 for steak and chips, with a pint! The (sirloin) steak was pretty good, too.
This is the perfect endpoint for a walk up Yr Wyddfa.

This place really deserves the good reviews it gets. Popped in after driving through the area and was not disappointed. Food is delicious, place is cozy and the options at the bar are amazing. Staff very friendly and kind. Absolutely recommend this place!

The food was lovely and all of the staff were really friendly. Definitely worth a visit for some good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Ha 2 meals and 2 pints for £29.95 - amazing value. We eat out a lot and this was honestly the best meal I've had in years

im local and me and the wife have had food in loads of pubs and restaronts i can honestly say that the gwynedd is defo the best all fresh food just like your mothers cooking fantastic

Visiting at local Campsite and came across this place for a drink. Well, once we tried it, it was our go to place. Food was scrumptious. Hearty warming delicious good size portion food. Staff very friendly. Got to know some of the locals too! Shows sport on tv too if that's your thing. Dog friendly as well. Good prices.

Popped in for a drink and a bite to eat after walking snowdon. So glad we did, Lamb Shank was superb....EDIT..steak and ale pie had the most steak ever seen in a pie . Bloody lovely.

Despite it being a “locals pub” and many individuals in the bar being good established regulars ……once in the pub we were made to feel v v welcome ! Good conversation with a few familiar punters (regulars) who made us feel at home…… staff were very pleasant and friendly . Food (although just a beer snack) was lovely, tasty and fresh/freshly cooked.

Loved it so much, we are going to squeeze in another visit before we move on to our next location!

We came for food and drink after walking snowdon. Really friendly staff, great service and super tasty pub food. A really lovely local place!

The location is perfect, and the rooms are clean. The self check in went smooth. The bar-resto downstairs is a blessing after a long hike ;)

Went here for dinner, typical pub menu. Pleasant dining area which is separate from the bar. Staff friendly and efficient, food very good. We both had broccoli and cauliflower soup to start and for mains, hubby went for Hunter's Chicken and I had Butterflied Chicken, very enjoyable.

Absolutely brilliant! Stayed here purely because the start of our night ascent of Snowdon was just round the corner and were absolutely delighted with our choice! It's unassuming from the exterior but the menu is extensive and incredibly reasonably priced. The lamb shank and burgers and puddings are delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive (our server Anthony was great). They have an extensive range of drinks at great prices too. Would definitely recommend eating here and also recommend booking if you plan to go at peak times!

Very called in for drinks a few times. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a meal there and I would recommend it to anybody. Fab menu, very difficult to choose. Meal was superb. Lots of people did eat there. Would go back.

A real surprise. When you get in it is so much nicer than it looks from the outside. Great service excellent room

I spent three nights at Y Gwynedd with two friends when we had to make a last minute change of accomodation in Llanberis. The manager was very welcoming, friendly and attentive, and managed to find us a family room. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, perfect for resting after exploring the surrounding mountains.

Y Gwynedd was a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely stay there again when visiting Llanberis!
