Just the go to Climbing shop in Llanberis, therefore the go to shop in north Wales. The team were increadibly helpful in terms of advice and suggestions with trying on climbing shoes, giving me plenty of options as well as time.

In the end I didn't take pair away with me as they didn't quite have my size in stock but went away with some solid advice. Will certainly be the first place I go when I'm next in need of anything.

Needed a new pair of hiking boots, which is always tough as I have very broad feet. The shop had an excellent selection of gear and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Came away with the most comfortable pair of boots I think I've ever had. Great value for money too! Highest recommendation for this place!

As new climbers with very little idea of what climbing shoes would suit us the staff happily spent several hours helping us find the perfect pair. The staff are all friendly, very knowledgeable and honest. They are not trying to sell you the most expensive thing in the shop and only interested in helping you climb more. I would happily travel to them again without a second thought.

Lived in Llanberis for almost 10 years and still up there with my favourite places to shop, visit and chat to genuine and passionate people about outdoor sports.

I've used V12 for many years, both in the shop and online, and the service, products and price has always been excellent. The staff are always friendly and know their stuff.

A while ago I broke some kit (bought from V12) Went in to see if I could get spares. The next thing I knew, the spares were posted to me, direct from the manufacturer, at no charge.

It's simply a great place.

Staff were very helpful here as we prepared for our hike, particularly with detailed advice about maintaining the HydraPak water bladder. Prices are reasonable too. The only drawback was the odd lack of certain equipment being stocked, such as camping cookware, but you can easily find this elsewhere on the same street.

My favourite climbing shop, by far. Great range on offer at great prices, I always find what I need. I've been to the shop twice - the staff are so helpful and friendly. Just made my first online order and it's been dispatched quickly - might even get it tomorrow! Thanks V12!

Great shop with supper friendly staff. The staff are very helpful and make you feel supper welcome. Really can’t fault v12 one of the best outdoor shops there is. They have an amazing selection on climbing shoes and outdoor gear.

I've been buying gear every now and then from V12 for almost five years. Always the same knowledgeable, fast, and friendly, service. They're happy to discuss anything on the phone or by email, and they carry products I can't get elsewhere, at reasonable prices. Two thumbs up from me!

These people are brilliant!! They have top level knowledge on the products they sell. They give honest advice. The shop is not massive, so don't expect to see lots of obscure brands, they haven't the space. The kit they do sell is top quality from the best manufacturers. The chap in the shop (I think he said his name was Burton but my hearing is poor) was very helpful, great customer service, definitely deserves a pay rise!!
