YHA Snowdon Ranger

Came down from Snowdon soaked through, no phone signal to tell our friends where to pick us up. The absolute saint that was there let us use the WiFi to call our friends, made us some tea, and let us warm up in the drying room. Lovely people that saved our butts 👍☕

Exceptional staff, very willing to help out and make sure you are comfortable, located perfectly of the ranger path with the best drying room anyone could want having just come off the mountain.

Stayed here for five days as part of a coach group. Even though I was the driver, and not technically part of the group, the management and staff were very helpful. Nothing was too much bother and their local knowledge was definitely a godsend at times!

The food was delicious, and there was plenty of parking (even for a coach!).

The views are breathtaking, and I definitely advise everyone to stay here. Signal is very VERY hit and miss, but that's part of the beauty.

It's a YHA so rooms are beds and a sink, but around here, you don't need much more as you'll be out enjoying the beautiful area you find yourself in.

We had a fantastic stay here. Extremely impressed with the food, the cleanliness, lovely hot showers, and comfy beds. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. Would definitely stay again. Excellent value for money. Perfect base for the ranger's path ascent of Snowdon.

8.3 miles from the snowdon ranger carpark and back and at this time of year....january, mid week its virtually deserted until u get to the top...wonnderful views and an exhilerating day out! Keep safe. Keep warm and dry with the right gear.

Four of us stayed in a five berth with en-suite shower and toilet. Food was excellent, choice of real ales at bar and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to stay for hiking etc.

No phone signal, no buses, me and my daughter were in trouble. But the personnel were 10x!!! Extremely helpful and kind!! Especially the "russian" chef :) thank you and I totally recommend! Grace to them we ve managed to get a car to pick up our from Llanberis!!

This quite traditional feeling youth hostel offers good value accomodation in the heart of Snowdonia.
Wifi access for those that need it; good breakfast; "common" room with magazines and comfy chairs; helpful staff; on site bar; all good (evening meals too I think). The self catering kitchen looked well stocked for a full house (although we only used the hot water).
The shared bunk room was spacious and the bed was fairly comfortable too... For the first time in years my room-mate didn't snore (plus point there! Thanks YHA for curtailing the snorers...).
Come on use these hostels; they are a fantastic resource - no chores anymore - just good value accomodation in incredible locations....!

Stunning location, stayed two nights on a photographic weekend, easy to get too and enough parking for our group, nice lounge area and bedrooms where good. Not high spec but for the price and it's location it was excellent.

Well priced little hostel set in the spectacular Welsh countryside. With easy access to several hiking trails, a train station, and a five minute drive to Bedd Gelert, it's a great place to stay.

The youth hostel known as Snowdon Ranger lies between Rhyd Ddu and Caernarfon in the Snowdonia National Park of North Wales.
It offers dormitory accomodation and family rooms as well as evening meals and breakfast. Self catering is also possible. The staff are very helpful. I can recommend a stay there.

Great walk - great views. Highly recommend, especially if the weather is as good as it was!

Get what you pay for. Really enjoyed the stay. Only issue i had was that the sausages they serve are the cheapest of the cheap and the one i had had something hard in it that nwarly broke my tooth. Rest of the food was glod though.

Basic accommodation, even by YHA standards but the staff, especially Amy were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again

Great place to use as a base for walking up Snowdon.. !! Veey friendly.. reasonabke priced, clean and good breakfasts !!

Can't ask for much more for the price. Was around £25 and was close to all walks and the lake was lovely.
