The Lake View Hotel

Perfect location for Mt Snowdon and Llanberis. Bus stop outside to hotel taking you straight to the village and mountain.
Second time staying here and you can see all the hard work Amy and James have put into renovating this venture. It was like staying with friends, both very welcoming. Breakfast hot options are really good and filling for a trek up the mountain. Nice range of local Gins and beer!
Lovely wood burner fire downstairs which was cosy. I'd like to see them dip into serving dinner in the future then I'd never need to leave!

Amy and James really are the hosts with the most! We had such a wonderful time at The Lake View and wish we could've stayed longer. Such an inviting and friendly space, and a perfect base from which to explore North Wales. Thanks again for having us, and hopefully we'll be back one day!

My hubby and myself stayed at this wonderful hotel as I was running the Marathon Eryri. We had such an amazing weekend and staying with Amy and James just made the whole experience perfect. Amy was so welcoming and really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying there.

The Lake View Hotel is by far the best place to stay! We travelled to Llanberis for our mini-moon the day after our wedding and from the moment we booked the communication from Amy has been amazing. We had the warmest welcome when we arrived and the room was just superb with really easy parking available right out front and gorgeous views of the mountains and lake. We really loved the fact that the hotel is very friendly, all the guests were chatty and the lounges to relax in were very welcoming after a long day in the mountains. Amy and James know the area so well and were great at giving recommendations for places to eat. They provide cutlery and plates for bringing back food to eat at the hotel, and they have a good selection of drinks on offer too. Nothing is too much trouble including tailoring the breakfast in the morning to suit preferences. Also, the BEST breakfast we've ever had when staying away from home. Cooked to absolute perfection and tasted so delicious. I really miss it now I'm home and James's homemade muesli was top notch. The bedroom and bathroom facilities were also very good and we had the best sleep on what was a very comfortable bed every night of our stay. The rooms are also really nicely decorated and very welcoming to relax in. Overall this really was such a wonderful stay and we can't wait to come back next year. Nothing is too much trouble, Amy and James are just amazing at hosting and genuinely felt like friends by the end of the week.

We had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel for our 10th anniversary and it was an absolute delight. Amy and James are friendly and hospitable, they made us feel like a welcomed guests, rather than just customers. The breathtaking view of the lake from our room was a dream come true. The bed was ensuring a restful sleep to recharge for the next day escapades. The lounge area's comfy sofa provided the perfect spot to cozy up after a day of adventures. We can imagine that the fireplace at wintertime creates this place even more snug! And you won't believe how many gorgeous plants they have got around the hotel! The gin and hot chocolate were our favourite drinks from the bar. Each morning we had a chance to eat an amazing freshly cooked breakfast.

We came to climb Snowdon like everyone else and this hotel is in a great location. Coming from London we were not used to people being so friendly everywhere in Wales. Amy was amazing and the owners are the best part of staying here, their generosity and warmth made staying here a pleasure. Would highly recommend if you want to feel at home.

Cozy B&B in a beautiful location. The hosts are a lovely couple, extremely friendly and do everything they can to help. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is delicious. Highly recommend!

Amy and James made us feel very welcome right from the word go. Amy has extensive knowledge of the local area and happily gave us advice on walks and places to eat which we found to be spot on. Nothing was too much bother. Breakfast was ready at the time that we asked and was delicious. Our room was spotless warm comfortable and looked out onto their delightful garden which they encourage people to use. Parking is easy right in front of the hotel. Llanberis is an easy 20 minute walk. The lake path and the hill path at the back of the hotel are within 5 mins walk. We cycled and walked during our stay. They have a secure cycle room. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Lake View Hotel and so have no hesitation in highly recommending and giving Amy and James 5 stars.

Stayed 3 nights with friends on a planned walk to Snowden. We were made very welcome at all times, first class service, the breakfast was 10/10 and we felt relaxed in the living room chatting and sharing local beer served by the hosts.

We just returned from a family weekend here and the hotel was perfect, great location and has everything you need. Amy and James were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond. So happy we found this and will definitely stay again

Rooms are well presented, clean and fresh. You have a choice of things for breakfast just let Amy know what you want and what time you will be eating and everything is ready for you. We will be coming back. Ideally placed to explore North Wales

Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights as we were climbing Snowdon for the first time. Amy and James were so friendly and we had a really lovely time staying here. Amy and James were brilliant hosts. Amy stayed up late to make sure we got in ok on our first night after a long day of travelling and delays and she was so kind about us arriving late.
The room was really clean and breakfast was really tasty as well. We loved the coffee/tea area where we could relax.
Amy also gave us lots of information on local buses and climbing Snowdon so we felt really prepared for our climb.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough and we would happily go back there.

Wonderful hotel with an amazing view of the lake (of course) and very friendly people. We had a good night sleep in comfortable beds; the room was dark and quiet.

Fantastic stay at a cosy home-from-home B&B. Amy and James are friendly and attentive hosts, the hotel is newly re-furbished and spotlessly clean. The rooms are well appointed there are a couple of cosy lounge areas, free tea and coffee, free parking and an amazing breakfast. Would highly recommend and will return on our next visit to Snowdonia

Only stayed 1night,but was comfortable, breakfast was great,and was run by a lovely young couple who couldn't do enough for us.Dont do meals but only a stroll into village center where there are plenty of options. Will certainly stay again

I can only describe my recent stay as brilliant. The room was clean quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high standard and the same can be said for the staff. I will definitely stay again.
